I have the same car. 2014 Passat black with 1556 and 4 Bar MAP. MRTuning delete and stage 3. Upgraded Metering valve. turbo damper delete. I love it. blows black smoke and is plenty torquey. also averages about 50mpg
Not sure if the Muffler delete and stock intake upgrade will gain me enough to justify $300 worth of parts. I tried a cheap $20 ebay cone filter just for fun and it cleaned up all my black smoke. Intake temperatures vs stock intake were less but fluctuated a lot more under load. Heat soak was common but it resolved pretty quickly. Did an inspection after running that for about 1,000 miles and the intake tubes were pretty “dusty”, so I went ahead and put the stock back on there… I don’t want to hurt anything.
@@danielminton8084 I don't often suggest putting intake and exhaust on a vehicle, but in this case I would. S&B makes a good intake with a paper filter as well as reusable, so you don't have to worry about damaging the engine. 8 hp on a mustang dyno is like 20hp on a dyno jet, so its enough power to justify the price. I don't have anything on what the exhaust adds, but it will increase hp by allowing the turbo to spool up quicker on a stage 3 turbo.
Yes the output of the head is no longer used, the kit we got did not have a relocation pipe, you'll have to talk to the guys that make the turbo kit and see if they have a relocation pipe. If not, the egr has to be turned off. Which is not ideal.

Question for ya, I'm considering this upgrade for CKRA. Did you have to change anything about the EGR cooler in order to install this turbo?
