When I woke up this morning I didn’t think I was gunna hear LeBron James call JJ Redick a buttfucker, but I’m here for it. 😂 Bron is too damn funny, man. He said “We could literally do this all day bro.” LeBron, I could LISTEN to you do this all day. This is amazing.
Jr smith's going from a super athletic/streaky shooting guard in denver and new york...to one of the better 2 way shooting guards in the league those years in Cleveland is not talked about enough. He was always a really good scorer. But his defense elevated when he got to Cleveland.
If you watch that play, the only one who could have stopped him from getting to that ball was God himself. Both Iggy and Steph were doomed the moment they sprinted past the half court. It was just a matter of which of the two would have gotten their sh$t blocked then. Lol
99% of people forget about that. It was 42-49 at halftime and GSW ended the first half on a 9-2 run or something. JR came out of halftime and hit 3 perfect swishes to bring them back 2. And when you add into his contest on Iggy on the block... People love to talk about Kyrie and LeBron's performance for good reason, but without JR man the Cavs would've lost.
@@Kreze202 Yes, sometimes it's easy for people to forget certain sequences that had taken place during a certain series.. Like game 7 vs the San Antonio Spurs with Shane Bathier.. That dude literally hit 6 out of 8 3's..
I point to this all the time when talking about that game. People forget it. But warriors went into halftime confident and wanting to run an Swish hit those shots. I think it was two 3s and a long 2 like one step inside the line.
@Kreze202 That last statement isn't fair to say. It took everything, that happened, to win. You can't say without JR hitting those shots, they don't win, because I can say without Kyrie hitting the shot over Curry, they don't win. Lol. Of course people going to highlight the Block and the Shot over everything else, because they came in the final minutes. In the clutch.

That block was insane how he cld use both arms and split his brain simultaneously. He was ready for the reverse w the left hand and the layup off glass with the right hand KING
Brian Windhorst has a good insight on the block. Iggy missed some free throws before this play. On the drive JR smith is with him but instead of making contact and potentially going to the line, he adjusts leaving LeBron just enough room to make the block.
Windhorst forgot to add LeBron's Block meant NOTHING as the Kyrie 3 would've put Cavs up 1 even if Iggy made the layup. Block happened w/ 2 minutes left, LeBron bricked a shot after that, GS didn't score again the whole game w/ Kyrie forcing a Curry Airball and later Love staying with Curry not getting shook and forcing a Brick. LeBron said Kyrie was supposed to drive on Curry but instead went for 3 so that "had to" is inaccurate conjecture. Kyrie shot it w/ 55 seconds left, 5 left on the shot clock. "Had to" would've been if it was the last possession. Kyrie shot the 3 instead like Curry did because Shooter's shoot. Analytics has nothing to do with the scoreboard and what actually happened those last 2 minutes, they are to predict probability. Cavs analysis told Kyrie to drive but he shot the 3. That's human. Block happened w/ 2 minutes left, LeBron bricked a shot after that, GS didn't score again the whole game.
im not even a big NBA fan but I will never forget this series. I agree tho, the dagger is just as iconic as the block. However, imo, the block is LBJ's defining moment. He played practically all 48 minutes, was leading the team in points, and still had the energy to get the chase down block. Then he trusted his teammate enough to take the next shot after the timeout instead of him. That sequence in game 7 shows what kinda player he is.
3:07, That block is not only one of the greatest plays in NBA history, but one of the GREATEST plays in sports history. It's iconic. Like John Elway's helicopter run in Super Bowl 32. Not a lebron fan but i saw this live and this was before i became the basketball fan i am now and i was blown away what a great moment
My forever favorite moment in basketbal is not the block, it's Deli's reaction on the bench. He knew at exact moment, LeBron got this, we got this.
The wine was already kicking in this segment, both of them giggling and JJ red as a tomato 🤣🤣🤣
One of the best moments of my life is watching that live. Out of body experience
Hahahahaha this man brings up the clip to him love it
That was enjoyable.
I remember yelling when Bron blocked that shot. I hope he comes back to The Land for his last chapter.
"If they call goal tend right here, I might be getting kicked out of the most important game of my life" deep stuff from Bron, awesome we get to hear his perspective on these things
Him going out w two hands for the reverse layup is nuts
JJ Redick. A player who shot 41.5% from 3pt for his career and taking a shot 1 foot in from the 3 point line. Just 2012 basketball things.
Greatest sports watching moment of my life
It’s still crazy how the gsw blew a 3-1 lead in the finals and had the best season 73-9.
Tells you something in the GOAT debate.
Yeah you know Draymond suspension for game 5, bogut broke his leg, Curry fouling out in game 6 somehow. You know normal Adam silver helping LeBron stuff.
This is so good!
Top offensive categories, top defensive categories. That should be our filter when we talk abt greatest plays.
94-94 in ot, it’s crazy cuz that was actually considered a high box score. Teams back then usually finished the game with 75-90. Now teams drop fucking 120-140 WITHOUT overtime
Yea when kd warriors came around it became the norm
@@lllightskindude on god, I be telling people the best teams in the nba rn is another version of the kd warriors team. 1-2 sharp shooters, a guard who dissects thru defense when the floor is spaced out and a scorer at the wing. Oh yeah and everybody including the center can make a 3 lol
I think we've all morphed this block into the Kyrie shot. Im guilty of it too! He blocks the shot, Kyrie hits the 3 on the other end, game. Thrre was almost 2 minutes left after the block, tied up. Great block, probably best in NBA history, given the stage. But, isng it weird how we can perceive something different over time, collectively?
Great breakdown by LeBron. However, I call CAP King! 05:03 The whole world knew JJ had that in his locker because that was his main move at Duke!🤣
LbJ "U turned me all the way around" AYOO 😅😂. Love this pod!
I love this podcast! 💯💯💯
One of the funniest athletes of all time, talkin about trajectory of the ball 😂
Lebron "IFIMNOTMISTAKEN" JAMES 👑
Good on Bron saying JR smith deserves credit for this as well. One of the more underrated moves in NBA history
Game 7 is the greatest game in the sport's history. And The Block is the greatest singular play in the sport’s history.
LOL at LeBron asking if they got wifi
Either he’s rewatched this a million times or his memory is insane
He was literally part of the greatest block in NBA history. Why wouldn't he remember it
So far, all the episodes are dope but the part where Lebron says what happens (a Shane foul) after JJ shows him the Magic highlight is crazy. Thats 15yrs ago bro, I cant even remember plays from the team I played this past Tuesday
“Blocked by James”! 😮👋🏽🏀
I remember watching it in break room and I literally jumped up qnd down yelling for Lebron to stop him because I had flashbacks of his chasedown blocks back in the day. When he actually got there and blocked it. I lost my mind and was in disbelief because i just knew GS was gonna win if they made that shot. Just truly words dont do it justice how incredible that was.
