I appreciate that you took the approach of "is this technology at the point where it's usable as a tool?" instead of the reductive and narrow view of "this is bad, they'll take our jobs".
We can't stop technology from advancing, we just have to be aware of its limitations and what we can do as consumers from a moralistic standpoint in order to support human creativity going forward!
I mean yeah AI is still on a rudimentary level in terms of creative fields. It only is a monster-baby with unlimited information. That doesn't mean it can use all that information in creative ways.
I feel while AI isn't quiet there yet in terms of production it's gonna get pretty decent in like 2 or 3 years. It's most likely not gonna be as good as the professionals but I feel like we might look at a future were songs will get generated so fast that it's just a sort of spray and pray where just 1 song out of a 100 needs to stick to make a profit. If AI will be a good or bad influence I'm not really confident in making a guess on but I can guarantee that a lot of people will be complaining in the future. Also, great vid. Enjoying the variety on the channel ❤
Yes, a couple days ago I asked chatgpt to write multiple types of rap and all, I also asked for an sds rap just because... *Here's the sds rap it wrote:* Verse 1: Meliodas, the captain of the Seven Deadly Sins, A legend in the making, his story begins. *I asked:* How to write good wordplay on an anime nerdcore rap *I got:* Writing good wordplay for an anime nerdcore rap involves combining your knowledge of anime and hip-hop culture with your creativity and language skills. Here are some tips to help you get started: Use puns: Puns are a great way to incorporate wordplay into your lyrics. Look for words in anime or hip-hop culture that have multiple meanings, and try to incorporate them in a clever way. For example, you could say "I'm spitting fire like Charizard" or "I'm on a quest for greatness, like Goku searching for the Dragon Balls." Make references: Nerdcore rap is all about making references to the things you love. Incorporate references to your favorite anime shows, characters, and storylines in your lyrics. For example, you could say "I'm a shinobi on the mic, like Naruto with the Rasengan" or "I'm living life like Luffy, always searching for the One Piece." Play with words: Experiment with the sounds and meanings of words to create clever wordplay. Use alliteration, assonance, and other literary devices to make your lyrics more interesting. For example, you could say "I'm the anime king, spitting rhymes that make you sing" or "I'm the nerdcore hero, rapping with the power of a thousand nerds." Embrace your nerdiness: Don't be afraid to show your love for anime and nerd culture in your lyrics. Your audience will appreciate your passion and authenticity. Use your knowledge of anime and hip-hop to create lyrics that are both clever and true to your identity as a nerdcore rapper. Remember, the key to writing good wordplay for an anime nerdcore rap is to have fun and be creative. Combine your love of anime with your skills as a rapper to create lyrics that are both clever and entertaining. *I asked:* Take your advice and write a 5 verse anime nerdcore rap with 7-12 lines in each verse *I got:* Verse 1: I'm the anime king, spitting rhymes that make you sing My flow's as smooth as the animation on the screen I'm like Deku with One for All, giving it my all My bars hit harder than Saitama's punches, that's the call I'm a ninja on the mic, like Naruto with the Rasengan My lyrics leave you stunned, like when Itachi used Genjutsu on a gang Verse 2: I'm a dragon slayer, like Natsu with the fire My rhymes light up the stage, like Fairy Tail's guild in attire I'm a hero for hire, like Saitama with the bald head My lyrics pack a punch, like when Goku goes Super Saiyan instead I'm a samurai of rap, like Mugen from Samurai Champloo My rhymes cut through the competition, leaving them in a pool of goo Verse 3: I'm a pirate captain, like Monkey D. Luffy My rhymes are as strong as his Gear Fourth, it's no bluff-y I'm the king of the court, like Kuroko with his misdirection My rhymes are on point, like Kagami's slam dunks and his aggression I'm a mecha pilot, like Shinji in Evangelion My rhymes are a weapon, like the EVA's with their souls bonded in unison Verse 4: I'm a space cowboy, like Spike Spiegel from Bebop My rhymes take you on a journey, through the galaxy, non-stop I'm a wizard in training, like Harry Potter with his wand My rhymes are pure magic, like when he faced Voldemort's final bond I'm a superhero, like All Might from My Hero Academia My rhymes inspire greatness, like his smile and persona Verse 5: I'm the otaku rapper, with my lyrics as my sword My rhymes slice through the haters, like Zoro's three-sword I'm a genius inventor, like Senku from Dr. Stone My rhymes are a masterpiece, like his creations that are unknown I'm the nerdcore hero, rapping with the power of a thousand nerds My rhymes transcend time and space, like when Trunks saved the world from destruction and all its curds.
Glad you made this because I heard about it but don't care enough to follow up, the headlines gave me the impression that chatgpt wrote the lyrics and made the beat too
thank you for saying that chatgpt sucks at rapping.. people have no actual knowledge about rapping and they make dumb reels about "it being so good", feels good to finally hear from someone who's skilled at it that chatgpt sucks at rapping.
Currently, the best use of AI that I can think of is to use it as a concept piece to help others (who u are potentially hiring) to see your vision. It's a different story when u post something generated by AI and claiming you made it.
If it had no financial gain, I wouldn't have a problem with it. Like, people who do the voice AIs specifically. There are artists that we'll never hear on a song together. Like imagine a Michael Jackson song featuring Prince. We'll never be able to have that. So being able to make a song with their voices would be amazing to listen to.
I liked this video. It goes into a topic that is really relevant today without trying to appeal to either extremes of the argument, at least that is what it felt like to me. It was a nice little experiment, and the best part is that down the line, like a year or two, when AI technology like this is further developed, we can see how it compares to the technology right now.
There are a lot of things that AIs can do, but to be able to replace anyone in the creative industry would be hard to do. It's both amazing and scary how AIs could recreate song with a different voice. Image generators like Bluewillow for example would not be replacing fine artists yet.
6:22 (that timestamp is close enough) oh oh oh, despite having very little experience with music creation, i actually know a little bit about this! i don't know exactly which model they used, but GHOST (the vocaloid producer, not the band) got an ai to write song lyrics in their style. from what i understand, they gave the lyrics some touch-ups, and they (along with some people they were working with) did the backing track, the mixing, the _feel_ of the song, etc. it's called reckless battery burns if you'd like to listen to it :) i think it's pretty cool; since the ai wasn't making an actual story, just emulating GHOST's style, it has a very... surreal, dreamlike quality. like nonsensical fragments of events, viewed through a shattered lens. there's also a sequel called end-world normopathy (which i think was written entirely by them and their collaborators, without ai) oh, but do mind the warnings! since it's based on GHOST's other music, and since their other songs often cover very dark subject matter, reckless battery burns follows that pattern
In my opinion AI shouldn't be a thing to worry about. Edward Tian has made GPTZero which is essentially ChatGPT being manipulated to recognize itself. He is working on versioning for education so people cant just submit BS papers; he is also said his whole mission is creating safeguards and he would look at other industries. So its likely if it became a problem he would manipulate something to detect vocally and lyrically if it was written or some form of machine learning.
Chstgpt now has a custom instructions feature where U have 1500 characters to, in natural language, let it know what you want it to do, this adds a whole new dimension to the way it will answer prompts because it now is refined enough to know what your end goal is before U even ask it the question. I have personally had some good luck with it and I know nothing about rap, I just heard of multi syllabic lines and bars just now so the prompts ud be able to set it up with would be way better I imagine than mine since U know the terms.
I think AI will have its uses when we get over the legal and ethical hill of having consent from the artists to use their stuff, and I can see a market spring up where people sell the "assets" used to generate stuff. Honestly, it will be a helpful tool to just have an AI to help improve already good foundational work without plagiarising (Like AI helping to correct the proportions of an artwork etc.)
i find it pretty smart and very intelligent. It's the way youj interact with it and learn to guide them in how to use it and come up with a badass song. for example you ask chat GPT to access all 2pac lyrics and remake me another album using the same lyrics in differnt songs made by AI. it's kabooooooom

ive see a few music producers use this to give chord progressions and melodies in the style of an artist and they have gotten some usable results, it still requires them to produce and put things together as a beat. but it definitely works better than the lyrics side. It seems like in 40 mins of trying you might get one or two phrases that could work if you decided to write around it on your own Cool video, really interesting watch

I just wrote a persuasive paper for my final against AI art. Really glad more people are talking about this. It's most prevalent in the visual and auditory art, but as an author myself, its crazy to see how insane AI can get. I think its also really important to note that this is the literal WORSE it will ever be which in wild.

I think you are using the free version, which is the 3.5 version. If you pay for premium you get the 4.0 version which is magnitudes better. Maybe you can make a second video with 4.0
I don’t know why but I decided to ask chatgpt to give me a rap about you and it was like an 11 year old wrote it But it did have some good ones here and there
People won't be even needing talent in the future. A machine would be able to make anything. Even artists could be replaced by image generators like Bluewillow AI.
I don't like A.I in this example of Drake and Weekend music. Cause while the majority of it is created by them. But the most enticing element is the idea that is sounds like them. Which hurts the artist severely. When comes to making a project of any kind, what makes it great is having these artist collab together with their ideas. It robs artist of all the creativity in terms of the novelty of them creating the art themselves. I don't like the artist getting robbed of the dream collab. I remember a while back ago 2pac live perform was frown upon. On top of a postimous album. Now we're taking those ideas those people who probably don't want associate with particular individuals and the history of all these individuals and just slapping them together wit. Regardless of the influence or the personhood of the music created by the individual.
Based on the 'songs' it produces I don't think it'll be taking anyone's job soon
I mean yeah AI is still on a rudimentary level in terms of creative fields. It only is a monster-baby with unlimited information. That doesn't mean it can use all that information in creative ways.
this was a really good video and informative. it was funny seeing you try to make a song with it LOL
I feel while AI isn't quiet there yet in terms of production it's gonna get pretty decent in like 2 or 3 years.

@Shwabados hahaha it's 20 bucks a month, if you make a video with it you'll definitely get your money's worth and then some 😜

People won't be even needing talent in the future. A machine would be able to make anything. Even artists could be replaced by image generators like Bluewillow AI.

What's up?
Boring, not to the point, watch something else
I love this type of content!! keep on going shwab
