I think when Theo took Gabes pain for him that's the proof they needed to show that Theo changed for the better - he wasn't the same old selfish Theo that would kill others to survive he generally was just a boy that got brainwashed and he later on paid for it, it's a shame they didn't do one last season just to see what came of Theo and the bond he and Liam created
