Ok, what kind of mini cutter was that you used to open it, and where can I get one? Tear strips are my nemesis!!! 😅
Yes! I always have problems with the strips lol. It’s a ceramic blade cutter. I have them in my Etsy shop or you can search for them online. They are really sharp.
I know it's too late now, because it's an older video, but since the one wasn't cured all the way, you could have cut a hole in the top and got the bubbles out. Add a bit more resin.. Let it sit until bubbles rise to the top. This can take quite a while. You can speed it up by using a heat gun or lighter, but if you aren't careful you will melt your plastic, so that's a dangerous one. You can also pop them with a pin or toothpick. The reason there was a line is because both sections were not completely cured. There shouldn't be a line if it's cured all the way, in my experience with using resin. I am not an expert though, and I have only made one of these aquariums, so yeah. I could be completely wrong, I guess.. haha I've mostly made other things. Just trying to be helpful for future projects. Luckily, we tend to get duplicates from what I hear, so hopefully another can be made.
Loved seeing all three of your little projects. The turtle was the first one I opened, and the one I wanted, and I literally squealed with delight. I would have been embarrassed, but I was home alone.. So only the dog heard.. hehe (yes, it too had some bubbles. It's because of the air trapped in the gravel. Next time I think I will mix it thoroughly, then let it sit over night and see if that helps. Great video. Looking forward to more.
