Patti's (matching) answer to the first question made me curious. She jokingly said it was Latin, but in fact, I found "Grepse" in a Yiddish word list. It does indeed mean "to belch."
H/H match update: ... ~~~Today's action: Our champ needs to match all five remaining celebs to eke out a tie (she already matched Juliet in the first round). As soon as I heard the question, I knew she was going to fail, because the question doesn't have that obvious and definitive answer that you need to elicit that sort of unanimity. Now, the question is, which celebrity will play the part of the "villainess" today? The champ says "Body." David immediately dashes the champion's (long-shot) hopes with "Leg." Looking at the remainder of the cards, it turns out our champ matched no one. Still, a terrific champion who can depart with a big smile and a promise of $11,300 after her three victories! *Today's (first) audience match question: "_**_______** Labor"* (My thoughts: Child, Manual, Skilled) The celebs: Richard (Manual), Brett (Hard), Charles (In) The choice: False (She goes with her own thought. The audience boos. Loudly. It's a valid answer, and it might be up there, but I think Richard's answer is better today.) The answers: Manual (I'm surprised it's so low), Child (Ha!), Hard (Wow! We should have trusted Brett today!) Another dreaded audience match fail, hot on the heels of 1111, 1106, and 1102... ~~~~~ Our champ wins her second game 1 to 0 before she even hears her second-round question. Let's she if she can do better with the audience match this time! *Today's (second) audience match question: "The **________** Brothers"* (My thoughts: Smothers, Righteous, Marx) The celebs: Richard (Marx), Juliet (Smothers), David (Ritz) The choice: Marx The answers: Righteous, Marx, Smothers (Wow! I got them all! After the contestant gave her answer, I thought of the Wright Brothers, and I'm a little surprised it didn't come up.) Well, our champ finally gets a shot at her first H/H... But we'll have to wait until tomorrow! (I'm betting she'll pick King Richard.) ~~~Here's our standing leader board (no changes today, obviously) showing the 11 celebs with at least 3 H/H matches, ranked by accuracy: (An asterisk before a celebrity's name signifies that she has "retired" from the show and her H/H stats are now complete.) (For tied scores, I consider the one with the greater number of matches to be higher; if the matches are equal, the celeb who first achieved that score goes on top.) Orson Bean - 100% (4 wins in 4 attempts). TIE: (*)Jo Anne Worley - 75% (3 wins in 4 attempts). TIE: Joyce Bulifant - 75% (3 wins in 4 attempts). Gary Burghoff - 71.4% (5 wins in 7 attempts). Betty - 50.0% (19 wins in 38 attempts). Charles - 48.6% (34 wins in 70 attempts). Fannie - 48.4% (15 wins in 31 attempts). Jo Ann Pflug - 44.4% (8 wins in 18 attempts). Richard - 42.5% (318 wins in 749 attempts). Brett - 42.3% (30 wins in 71 attempts). Bert Convy - 33.3% (5 wins in 15 attempts). *These stats include every head-to-head match from episode 1 through 1113, excluding the missing/damaged/unavailable episodes: 31, 32, 33, 311, 312, 313, 324, 325, 645, 910, 1024, 1025, 1026, 1027, 1028, 1029, and 1030. *Also, note that episode 849 was never produced. (These stats do, however, include the H/H results of missing episode 968 as those results were revealed in episode 969. Note: There was no H/H in missing episode 1035, as we learn in 1036.)
She matches a lot more than she is given credit for. Often, she isn't part of the final decision because it's decided by the time they get to the sixth seat. Patti was a comic genius and she was a very important part of Match Game, Laugh-In, and many other wonderful shows. Yes, Match Game was a game show, but it was also entertainment, and thank good for Patti, because she brought it on.
@@CousinOresama WOW! You are COMPLETELY insane, aren't you. You hate Brett, but you like horrendous Patti. LOL, you ARE funny (but I can guarantee you a THOUSAD percent that the Patti lovers would have HATED her if they were the ones who were trying to win money)
I like hearing the promos for Rice-A-Roni, Toureter Luggage, and other products of the times. Too bad more of these episodes didn't include them.

I absolutely love Juliet Prowse and Patti Deusch
Brett and Charles will never give up fighting like a cat and dog.
The Wright Brothers
I thought of the Everly Brothers
December 9, 1977, which makes this the last episode to air at 11 am ET as part of the failed time change experiment.

10:53 every time they come to her drama just anwser the question.
I'm with you
She hates vacuum cleaners.
At least 'Bosely' had a good answer for that tunnel of love one.
I want Charles's shirt!
Isn't that a pretty shirt, I thought the same thing.🌹
Thanks for your help Richard
What did he do?
My answer was 'bedpost'.
Gene Rayburn can be a real jerk.
He was the *perfect* host for this show. He was of his time, and people weren’t so easily offended back then.
So Patti was on the show to.......not match anyone. She adds little to the show.
Yeah, she's one of my least favourite guests/regulars.
I don't like her at all.

I didn't find her very appealing, but some did. She put on an act like she couldn't care less. I guess that was her shtick.

i really dont like charlenes attitude!
She is kind of odd 😵
Juliet Prowse - what a ball of personality and enthusiasm. (not)
Yes she was
Charlene looks like carrot top
Haha!
@@noampitlik2332 she does.😆😀
And she acts like a bitch.
Hopefully the one contestant Martha used some of that money to get her teeth fixed. She said she was trying to get into acting.

Since the comment got removed,I'm going to guess he called the OP A disgusting racist for saying the woman should fix her teeth.
Just because u think they need fixing doesn't mean they do. I know she will probably be advised to and I think it's ridiculous

Has anyone seen the episode that Betty is talking about at the end of the video at 2:50?
