Remember this is a classic survival horror game, your ammunition is scarce so don't shoot all zombies and monsters you see otherwise you're going to run out of ammo quickly, you only need to shoot when you have no other choice otherwise you need to avoid zombies

Two other things, when an enemy grabs you you're supposed to keep pressing all the buttons of your controller at once so Jill can free herself from the attack sooner (even if you don't have a dagger), if you don't press anything the enemies will keep biting her and kill her eventually. Also I recommend you to store the knife in an item box since you're not using it and its not really useful in this game, so its just wasting space there in your inventory
I have to say the moment she picked up the shotgun i was like "hehehehe". But yeah examine everything cause keys for example often have something on them to make the name of the item change. For example, the mansion key you got from the book after being examined will refer to it as Sword Key which is why it unlocks every door that mentioned having a sword emblem carved into the door.
Fun watching someone figure out the mechanics of this game for the first time! The emblem that you picked up right at the beginning is actually for a minor puzzle, you'll know it when you see it, but for now you could put it in the box to free up an inventory space. Also, I was actually relieved when you died so that the shotgun shells would be back, those are very valuable for the more difficult monsters. Can't wait for next part!
If u example the room keys, they will tell u what kind of key it is. If u come to a room with a round about. Don't kill zombies, just run around them. If dogs get a hold of you, sjake your analog sticks back n forth.
I’m enjoying watching you play this game, it’s one of my all time favourites and you have a chill vibe which tbh is pretty relaxing. It’s fun seeing you solve puzzles and find out what to do next. It’s so satisfying when you manage to do it yourself isn’t it? I’m looking forward to see you play through any more RE games. The game most similar to this is RE Zero as they released in the same year, it’s a direct prequel to this game. That might be a good next option if you’re looking for a similar gameplay experience before playing any other RE games which have different gameplay.
ive beatin this game many many times, its relaxing and nostalgic to watch you play, i have had a good time so far watching pt1 and prt2....now time for prt3 :)

It’s funny I heard Sam mentioned twice, during the first two streams, that this only an 7 hr game.
It’s too bad that same source didn’t mention, that’s only for seasoned players.
If you’re brand new to a game, your time will always take longer than those posted estimates.

This is fascinating to watch someone play these games who isn't familiar with adventure game logic. Especially since you do not give up. While i love these games, they are nonsensical convoluted puzzles. And back in the day they came with an instruction booklet.

She missed it when meeting Barry in the main hall. If I remember right, Barry only saves her if she hadn't saw him again in the hall and if she tried opening the door she came from after it lowered a bit and cannot open.
Me screaming at my phone like an idiot- " Use the wood plank at the fireplace!!" ( as you are standing directly next to it.) lol

Note: "The dog mauls anyone who comes near" -proceeds to stand and let vicious dog attack her. "I thought because I blew the whistle he won't attack"
"I know this is supposed to be a short game, I don't know if we'll finish it in the next part, maybe I'll take like two more parts" -laughs seeing episode 9 and no completion yet.
I've played this game since it came out in 1996. Love watching first-timers playing it! Keep posting those videos!
don´t really know how it took so long time to figure out the "shotgun trap" it´s kind of obvious, that something happens when you remove it, but i guess some people just don´t connect the dots.
You dont seem to be doing anything when a zombie or dog gets hold of you. Generally a good idea to repeatedly hitting the buttons on the controller tends to help fight off the enemy quicker.
how did she avoid the Jill Sandwich cut scene..never seen that happen before ..never knew you could simply go back out that room without it triggering the cut scene
The fuel is for the dead zombies then you light them to stop them turning into Crimson heads thanks me later .
I cant believe your playing this game when I'm playing it too but I haven't played it for 20 years so I'm playing it to see if it still holds up to me.
Glad you decided to play as Jill, playing as Chris is much harder.
When you get attacked and dont have defense items, mash buttons to get free faster. Mush directional buttons, aim button, confirm and run buttons :)
youve got to be the first person to actually use that wooden mount lmao. all the other first time players have it in their item box right till the end of the game
They were fighting for their life with the wood mount.
The game in it self is not that long. But it is made like a big eacape room. So first time play throughs can take a bit of time as you need to try and find stuff out. So I would guess it takes a bit longer than you might at first have thought. ✌️
For a second play through it would be a breeze though. 🤪

I always thought the game was cruel for giving you the fuel and canteen but never telling you that every SINGLE zombie you killed will return as the much more deadly crimson heads unless you burn their bodies till after you fought a fair few of them 😆
To be fair though my man that not necessarily true, it tells you exactly that in the incineration note.
@@seanmiles6991 guess I'm remembering it wrong as I haven't played it since it's GameCube release and must have missed that detail in the video during to having it run in the background as I work XD always through it was a bit later they told you in a "Now you know what they are like, here is how to avoid them" thing lol

I like it when people play resident evil but don't like it when they run around like a headless chook meaning your keep going to places where you have nothing repetitively now I've played the game used logic reality is that it is frustrating I like to see more progress not incompetence. Do you have a mission completed and try to keep a couple of boxes empty say you're able to pick up more
I like to read coherent, well written comments that use good grammar and punctuation. We don’t always get what we want though.
