I’m rewatching this in quarantine in dec 2020 and it’s making me miss travel so much! Also it’s weird seeing you wander around in stores with no masks lol. Cant believe it was just a year ago, it feels like a whole different lifetime!!
I know this is comment is almost 2 years later, but I live in El Paso, Texas, the fact you actually mentioned my hometown and then went to or at least tried to go into Carlsbad Caverns, is amazing!!! Thanks for mentioning my hometown!!!
Last time I went to Carlsbad Caverns, a ticket purchase was required for a guided tour, if I recall correctly, and there were several different tours. I wish you guys had visited the NPS website before making the drive and being disappointed.
"During the shutdown of the federal government due to the lapse of appropriations, national parks will remain as accessible as possible while still following all applicable laws and procedures. Park roads, lookouts, and trails at Carlsbad Caverns National Park, will remain accessible to visitors, but emergency and rescue services will be limited. The visitor center and cavern will be closed."
Hopefully you will be able to stop by there again when you return from Belize. Witnessing the bats leave the cavern is an amazing experience!
"From about mid-April to late-October, thousands of bats fly out of Carlsbad Cavern every evening, weather permitting, to eat insects. The free evening "Bat Flight" ranger talks start in mid-April at the Bat Flight Amphitheater. Check with a ranger for talk time or call 575-236-1374."
Good Luck guys!! Im excited to follow this adventure !! Remember to roll with the punches and have fun!
Always love seeing cool people meet up. We're in Mexico now! Didn't drive (was going to cost much more...) But still taking the road trip notes from everyone!! Have a blast!
I was already following both channels and think you guys are all great. Starting off as strangers but I feel like you’re going to make lifelong friends on this trip!! And that cliff hanger at the end! 😱
Be safe driving thru MX. I am from Mexico Cty and have done road travel. Do not stop to help someone who’s car broke down, its the number 1 way they get you to stop and take your shtuff. Prople are great in MX but just be very careful, btw you will need vet papers for Frank and btw at the border stop at a bank and ATM pesos. You will need them.
When shopping or at restaurants if you pay w card ask them to bring the card machine to your table. These are things I do every time I go to Mexico to visit my family.
Do not go to Mex City, it is beautiful but trafic is crazy and it will take hours to go 5 miles.
Have fun, do not get weed from strangers and just be careful. We love you. Cant wait to see your videos of Mx and Bel. Hugs
My wife and I drove to Belize in an old Landcruiser in 1993 with our two kids (both under the age of three). We lived there for over a year. If you want to get of the beaten path, head down to Punta Gorda. It's a great little town. Have a great trip!
You have nothing to worry about, when is comes to traveling with ,and getting to know Jorden and Kaylee. I have followed both of you for months. Rest assured, its a perfect match. Dogs know, better then people, if they're around good people and we all saw Frank and Lola's instant love, for each other. Please include Frank and Lola's antics in your videos.
Definitely include the dogs! We can almost forget they have Frank at all with how rarely they show him. Use the cute dog to get views!
Love you guys, great concept to swap back and forth on the daily vlogs! I thought for sure you guys would have jumped the rope to go into the caverns! lol Have fun in beautiful Mexico!
I've missed you guys! You're as crazy as ever. Sorry I've been MIA. We lost some loved ones in Dec. Spent some much needed time with family. So happy to see you starting this year off as great as your last year was. Love y'all! Have fun! Give Frank some lovin for me.😘💕🐾💓
I think you guys are so smart to team up together. Will follow your trip and keep positive vibes coming your way and keep you in our prayers for a safe journey.
This is such a cool idea! And the two nomad couples I love to watch! Safe travels!
Love all of you!! Subscribed to both of you for a long time now☺ thanks for the cliffhanger lol
This makes me so happy that you guys are all together. I love this series!
High winds today, drive safe. Your real close to the oil boom in the Permian Basin. The roads are bad with pot holes. And crazy drivers. If you travel though the Guadalupe mountains. Real high winds today. Stay safe.
I’ve watched both of your RUclips channels, you four ,and your doggies should have an amazing time!
"We're gased up, we're fed, we're peed" 🤣 gotta love you allie!!!!
Safe travels guys! Hope you have a blast!
I know you guys are excited about your trip through Mexico to Belize. It sounds like quite an adventure and one you'll talk about among friends and family for the rest of your lives. You have so many subscribers supporting you and encouraging you in this endeavor, and I want to be among them, but I feel I must say that I'm growing increasingly concerned.
As I watch your videos and those of Jordan & Kaylee, and as I research the conditions in Mexico, I find myself hoping that you will at least postpone and take some more time to plan and prepare. I've always been a mostly optimistic person, but my life experience has taught me that I am usually rewarded with a more positive experience when I take the time to approach my major plans from a realistic and well-researched perspective. I know spontaneity can be fun and exciting, but in today's world, it can also be quite dangerous in certain times and places.
I've noticed others have expressed concern about this trip in their comments, and I'm sure none of us want to be doomsayers or party poopers. We all wish you a wonderful and adventurous life, but we also want you to have a long and prosperous life. Though your happiness is a high priority for us, your safety is much more important to us and probably to your families, as well.
With all of that said, and although I'm simply a stranger who comments from time to time, I urge you all to hang out in Texas for a while and plan your trip more thoroughly. Visit the State Department website and thoroughly read and study the Mexico Travel Advisory and the Belize Travel Advisory. Search online for people who have recently made or attempted to make the same trip and consult them for advice. Contact the State Department, inform them of your plans, and ask them to offer additional advice to what their website offers. Research the current conditions in the Mexican states through which you plan to travel. Do everything in your power to ensure you can complete this trip in safety.
You all have met some terrific folks during your travels, but I assure you there are some people out there who seem to have no conscience and no concern for the well being of others, and they will not hesitate to take from you everything you possess, including your life, simply because they want it. I know that sounds harsh, but it's true, and some of those people operate in large, organized groups within some of the areas of Mexico through which you may be traveling.
Will waiting a few more weeks or a month negatively affect the quality of your trip? Could taking that time to better prepare affect it in a positive way?

Really good advice...tho it seems it fell on deaf ears...
Its so cool to see all my favorite vanlifers in my city! That's our regular REI store!
Carlsbad is my hometown - advice pass it. It has become a booming oil town and is crazy. Hope you made it through the cave. I miss visiting that more than anything else.
If you have time checkout "Sitting Bull Falls" - It's another favorite of mine. Now that I live in Oregon, it's not as amazing, but worth a visit.
Cheers!
Grew up in Phoenix. Love the weather right now. I miss the weather. Enjoy it. Caverns are awesome
Hey Trent & Allie (& Kaylee and Jordan)!!! After that debacle getting stuck at RTR, I meant to tell you guys to get a couple of tow straps (military grade) in the event it happens again, one of you can pull the other one out if you ever have to. Y'all are gonna have so much fun and gain some priceless memories and experience. Journey forth Young folks. You guys be SAFE and look out for each other out there. Thank you so much for sharing. 😀 😎
Excited about ya'lls trip down South. I might want to do that very thing one of these days. Your scenic footage is always great. Music always solid! I would like more footage on your every day life & all the stuff you will be dealing with while out of the country. I don't know what your plan is about water. That concerns me. Maybe you should get some type of purifier tablets before you leave the states. Have fun guys & be safe!
Omg feels like the 1st time really seeing Trent cut loose and his sense of humor is coming out more ! Love you guys ❤❤❤
I’m stoked for this series!!!!
Hey guys. I started following you further down on your trip so backtracking now to catch this portion. Thank goodness I have this to keep me occupied through the COVID-19 pandemic isolation. So appreciate you guys sharing your adventures!👏
My uncle took care of the campground right before Carlsburg Caverns in the sixties . I was there many times.
I went to Carlsbad when I was younger and I loved it!! Also I feel you about packing for along period of time. I am leaving in about a week to stay abroad for 4.5 months!! yeek!
Nomadic Movement posted 1/2 an hour ago and said they're all fine. Poor internet. We'll hear from them live on Wednesday. Whew!
where did they post this?
jk, nvm I found they both posted in the channel comments (community) for anyone else wondering. Thanks for telling us!
AWESOME gear list with those links. THANKS FOR THAT!!
Sorry you went out of the way just to get turned away. They are awesome. You will just have to stop when you get back up into the states. It is worth coming back for. I have been to quite a few caves around the country and Carlsbad is bay far my favorite so far. Safe travels.
love the coffee nachine ❤️❤️ safe travels guys thanx for taking me on your journey
Carlsbad Caverns is so cool you guys will love it. I've been there years ago.
No shots of the caves? Nice recap. Great coffee!
All four of you guys are awesome people! 👍🏻
Great great video! Happy to be starting this series!! Do you two feel that “about to go on vacation” feeling all the time? If so that may be the very best “plus” for van life that I could possibly think of!! I love that feeling!! It’s the best!! On to episode 3 in the morning!!
It’s so exciting watching you guys head out on this adventure I know that you’re bringing all your best attitudes in love with it so on that account I’m sure you guys are gonna do great!!😎
Carlsbad caverns is so cool! 40 floors down I think. Hiked in and out before
Welcome to my part of the world! I live 45 mins away from Carlsbad 🌍
Thank you Trent and Allie!! You made my Friday great!
Have fun in Belize. Just a warning gas is extremely high there about $5.00 us a gallon in June when I left. Too bad I didn't know before you left I could have arranged a location for you to park or you could have stayed on my land. Anyway have a fabulous time.
Go guys. We salute you from México!
Loving the series. Such anticipation.
Love The Videos! Keep up the good Work!
love trents enthusiasm!
Love REI. That's where I bought my gopro too. So much fun!!
Guys I work at a trapeze school in San Diego you guys should stop by for a class !
If the caverns are closed y’all should stop by Guadalupe Peak/ Guadalupe Mountains NP on your way south! Its beautiful and GP is the highest point in TX! Devils Hall is a shorter hike also amazing.
Very cool 😎 have fun, thanks for sharing and safe travels 🚌😊🎶🎥🌎☀️
Safe and fun travel guys! ♥️
Quite the cliffhanger! Love eet! ❤
Carlsbad Caverns is so cool. I would definitely like to go back!
Need them to check in.
It looks like you guy are off to great adventure, enjoy 😎
From their website - Important Shutdown Notice
During the federal government shutdown, Carlsbad Caverns National Park, including park roads and trails, is open. However, the visitor center and cavern are closed.
They must've known this, they've got internet on their phones? Maybe they'll find another way to have a private tour of the caverns?
@@mitchellbarnow1709 I'm thinkin' that's exactly what they did! They slept, waiting to go to the caves in the morning. Somehow I didn't think they would just walk away because there was a cheesy little sign on a chain saying "closed"...especially knowing it was closed because there was no one working there! But then...somebody went back to the vans and posted that video... (beginning to feel pranked)
Thanks Trump!
Awesome make sure you keep a 👁 on the kids for me. And lola. Lol thanks for changing the alternator for me 🇨🇦🇨🇦

I can’t believe you were in ElPaso, I would’ve loved running into y’all!
I love REI (I was there a like 3hrs ago.) Backpack food is way expensive there.
Let me guess they were closed... If not you guys did a good job tricking everybody!! Lol... Have fun and Happy trails be safe can't wait for the next video!! 💕
I know you had checked to see if they were open before you went there!
Sounds like they are adding a delay, and we will get border crossing info today, according to nomadic movement post
I know this is a bit late, but take a warm coat, the caverns are super chilly even in the summer.
i used to watch them until I came across you two and stop watching them. in my book you two are just more fun to watch.
Make it work guys, and have fun doing it!
it was be great to know the fuel/gas comsumption difference between your 2 trucks.
Enjoyed!!!!!!!!!😀❤❤
Hope you guys are okay down there? Missed 2 days already!! Stay safe in Jesus name!! 🙏🏾
Love seeing goofy Trent!
Believe is a beautiful country but make sure to travel to Islands, fantastic fishing by the way.. You have to take a water taxi or small plane but totally worth it. Also I noticed that while cooking your eggs they sticked to your pan. If you cook bacon & keep the grease either refrigerated or not poor some into the pan & your eggs will not stick.
Hope you guys ok... Haven't heard from you all
Love the vibes of the 4 of you..... but be sure to vlog the good, the bad and the ugly 🤪
The cavess arent opened!!!!!! i went there the first day of the shut down and caves were blocked off
Y’all are gonna be so tired of me posting my excitement for this collaboration!! My fav ppl! Allie...I hear a cold? No medical emergencies young lady 💕 oh and you’re right next or to my hometown. Omg in fact you just said it...El Paso!! Love you guys
Love the caverns
