MaidaVale is a Swedish four piece and one of the most prominent acts in the new generation of psych music. The band was founded in 2013 and has released two full length albums up until now.

jetzt muss ich 70 Jahre alt werden um so geniale Musik zu hören!!
da steckt viel drin: hendrix, eine phantastische gitarristin, krautrock (amon düül lightshow), motörhead, lange improvisationen, eine hypnotische bühnenshow, eine charismatische sängerin,von der man die augen nicht lassen kann.
wenn die hier auftauchen, da geh ich hin, notfalls 50 km zu fuss. einfach eigenständige musik mit hohem wiedererkennungswert

Also so nach 50mal anhören habe ich bis jetzt keine Fehler der Band ausgemacht.Dieses Liveconcert der Band ist das BESTE was RUclips zu bieten hat.Bild und Tonqualität sehr sehr gut.Das Sofia musikalisch den ganzen Laden schmeißt ist schon eine besondere Art.Gibt es auf diesem Niveau nicht viele Bands.Da der Bass die Grundmelodie des öfteren mitspielt oder sogar einleitet,die Idee schon,was für ein cooler Schachzug.Mit der Sängerin das A und O.Diese persönliche Note - Bitte nicht wechseln - was bei vielen Bands so oft passiert,zum Nachteil.Vor allem kann Sie Bass und Gitarre spielen und Ihre Tanzeinlagen sind und werden Kult wenn auch immer barfuß.Was das Schlagzeug angeht also optimal besetzt.Ist keine Topmaschine wie Ian Pace von Deep Purple, aber macht für DAS einen sehr guten Job.Freu mich auf die 3 LP.Die zweite war ja schon eine Steigerung was Konzept und Reife angeht.Also Spingsen wie man in Kölle seet (Ohren auf )Gold Mind das beste Stück

Ich komme ja aus der Flower Power Zeit und da so eine junge Schwedische Mädelband sich traut diese Musikrichtung zu spielen das ist ja so was von STARK.Das beste seit Ewig.Den Mut zu haben aus der Reihe zu tanzen einfach super.Bin sehr begeistert und dankbar.Freu mich auf die nächsten 30 Alben.Besser geht's nicht.

ja, besser gehts nicht. wenn ich da an so hirnloses sologedudel ohne jedes feeling denke (ingwie malmsteen,ääääh, oder steve vai: alles müll und mist gegen sofia ström
oh ja mann, und sofia ström ist das beste was ich seit langem an gitarristen gesehen habe. für mich auf einer ebene mit ritchie und jimi, ohne schmähh, ich L I E BE diese band !!!!!!!!!!
@@wernerspitzenberger6916 Ja, Sofia ist wie ein weiblicher Jimmi Hendrix & Matilda wie ein weiblicher Jim Morrison und alle gemeinsam klingen sie wie The Doors und Sabbath, nur ohne die nervige Stimme von Ozzy Osbourne. Aber was hören die Leute von Heute? Während Bands wie MaidaVale viel mehr Aufmerksamkeit verdient hätten, weil die Mädels ihre Instrumente und Stimmen wirklich beherrschen und eine Athmo erzeugen, als wäre man in den 60ern, hängen die Jungs und Mädels irgendwelchen überbewerteten Gangsta-"Rappern" nach, die noch nicht mal gute Texte schreiben können. Irgendwas stimmt mit dieser Welt nicht. Früher hätten diese Mädels auf Woodstock gespielt oder Sofia wäre zumindest in einem Atemzug mit Gitarristinnen wie Lzzy Hale oder Orianthi genannt worden. Aber ich glaube nach wie vor an meine MaidaVale-Mädels und weiß, dass sie es irgendwann bis ganz nach oben schaffen, weil das Zeug dazu hätten sie auf jeden Fall!

jaaaa, total hypnotisch, ich kann einfach die augen nicht mehr davon lassen, man ist einfach wie gebannt. da sollten sich mal viele bonzen-rocker wie stones oder zep eine scheibe abschneiden. total erfrischend und unverbraucht. die hätten eine grosse zukunft verdient.
jaaaa, das ist das genialste, was ich seitlangem gesehen hab. und ich kenn so ziemlich alles zurück bis 1960. vergiss o815 heavy massenkacke. DAS HIER ist ideenreich und nie langweilig und HYPNOTISCH. ein traum !!!!
Ich hab die vor ca. 5 Jahren live gesehen und seither lassen sie mich nicht mehr los. Die Atmosphäre war unbeschreiblich und kann mM nach mit keinem RUclips-Video und/oder Tonträger eingefangen werden. Ein Gefühl, wäre Jim Morrison als Frau wiedergeboren worden und hätte sich Black Sabbath angeschlossen und/oder wie eine Zeitreise in die 60er...

da sieht (hört man, dass die 60er-70er jahre auch bei jungen nachwuchmusikern ihre spuren hinterlassen haben. also muss an der einzigartigkeit dieser ära was dran sein. schön, dass diese tolle musikära so weiterlebt. wüsste man nicht, dass das neuzeit ist: jeder würde meinen, das ist echt aus den siebzigern.
ich kann den mädels nur eine grosse karriere wünschen. sie hättens echt verdient !!!! meine absol. lieblinge, was die heavy ecke betrifft.

I just discovered MaidaVale on Spotify with their song (If You Want The Smoke) Be The Fire, which I loved. I thought I would check for them on RUclips, and am rewarded by this awesome live show. I am a great lover of psychedelic music, and this band really floats my boat. Matilda has an awesome voice for this style of music. Love this music these ladies are performing.

Haven't heard such precision and emotion at the same time for a looong time, and I am almost 60.
This is simply amazing and I wish them to continue for a long enjoyable and successful journey.

@@kjellswebilius7235 I say 'INCREDIBLE...' not because it's a 100% women band, but that's an incredible sound, the guitarist is fantastic (and all the members) , I have a big LP collection with band fronted by a female singer, and from Sweden I also like Blues Pills, Spiral Skies, Spiders, Luciferian Light Orchestra, Glitzy Glow, Heavy Feather....!!! In France, nothing interesting in music now for me. The only good thing was our Frenchy guitarist: Dorian Sorriaux with the Swedish singer Elin Larsson (Blues Pills). ... Now the 2 Maidavale LP are in my stock!
@@evtribute1505 I might have misunderstood your "how it's possible". I agree it doesn't matter if they are women or men, but I love the fact that the women takes a step forward in the rock & roll business. And that this Maida Vale love to play this kind of music, that's incredible. Takes a special mind.
I also have a special "relation" to them, as they met and formed this band at the same place where I'm living, on the island of Gotland in the Baltic Sea.

Yes I can understand, Gotland island is maybe a special place, because there is a long way by sea from the 'classic' Sweden, of course with a band like this, you can be proud! I start to write a book in french about 'female fronted HM/Psyche/AOR...' late 60s to mid 90s..and of course a special chapter with the new generation of 'Revival' Psyche/Doom/Stoner.... so when I listen this show, it was magic, where this band find this sound, this style?!! I bought the 2 LP albums this week! Congratulations Gotland, this band is a must! Cheers

I saw them tonight in Mannheim, Germany. I am totally flashed. One of the best concerts I have seen in over 35 years.

@@bocforever6791 i really had a blast that night :-D the audience was a bit dull and there was this 6 ft tall dude standing right in front of me like a giant meerkat, not moving at all lol. but MaidaVale was awesome, rocking their asses off
