Interview with Timmy O'Connor and Pat Fleming, July 2023

From Toureendarby, Newmarket Co. Cork, Timmy O'Connor (1935-2024) was an outstanding accordion player in the traditional Sliabh Luachra style. As a player and composer, Timmy will have a lasting legacy in his native Sliabh Luachra and amongst the broader traditional music community.
ITMA interviewed Timmy along with fellow Sliabh Luachra accordion player Pat Fleming in July 2023 during Scoil Samhraidh Willie Clancy. The interview was conducted by ITMA's Kyle Macaulay.

I think they have stopped playing for dancers. The dancers wouldn’t be able to keep up.
