I would sure hope so. I could do a pretty good swap including built mt82 for 10k *edit* I wasnt factoring labor....but yea 20k should be plenty imo. You may even be able to start with a gen 2 mustang coyote which would be ideal imo

500 is a stretch on 91. On e85 yea but its gonna take a cobra jet manifold and l&m intake only cams at the very least imo. That is if youre talking 500 WHEEL hp. If talking flywheel hp thats a pretty easy number to hit.
@@michaelharris748 think if a 2 valve 4.6L was bumped up to 13-1, might get 500lbft at the flywheel? ... I got a bike with a simular compression ratio, it runs on 91 just fine but it sometimes gets predetonation on start ups.
Please for the love of God ditch that ugly honeycomb grill and get a mach 1 grill delete in that thing ASAP. i thought that honeycomb grill looked like garbage 20 years ago and i feel just a strongly about it today. Lol. Otherwise bad ass car.

I want to keep it an automatic so my wife can drive the car. But I'm not sure what transmission to use to handle the power. At the same time I want enough power that the car can hit 10's in a 1/4 mile not sure how much power I would need as the car weighs in at 3,000+ pounds. That car can easily get into the 10s all motor with a 6r80 trans (6 speed auto) people have gone 10s in the newer mustangs na which are several hundred pounds heavier. 10s should be no problem and if you go with a blower 10s will be a walk in the park. I would do a gen 2 mustang coyote with a cobra jet manifold and l&m intake cams...car would be able to hit 500 rwhp on e85 and 480 easy on pump gas with long tubes and a full exhaust that would easily get you into the 10s in that car with a 6r80. Ive seen mustang coyotes with 6r80s still attached to them with everything needed to do the swap on a crate for 5-6k. Just look on Ebay. Fyi the 6r80 is a very stout trans and more than strong enough for what youre wanting.

You can get truck coyotes for under 2k...even if you added l&m intake cams and a cj intake manifold (which would make it ALOT faster) youd still only be in around 5k total on the engine itself. You can throw in a built mt82 from calimer for under 2k and that leaves 3 grand more for anything else you wanna do before youd get to 10k. Thats enough to do some suspension and rear end mods. This could obviously be done alot cheaper if you didnt opt for the cj and the l&m cams which i factored in 3k for that (that is buying it new...could go used for less money). It may reach 10k but I don't thinkn id call that the low end unless youre starting with a brand new mustang crate engine. *edit* Youd need to get it tuned also but i think you could easily do it well under 10k if you went with stock mustang cams and an 18+ intake manifold like caleb did.
@@michaelharris748 if you do it for less than 10k you are cutting corners in my opinion. You are pricing a used truck motor with unknown issues and needing to still do the cam swaps . Also you are forgetting all the other mods done k member , swap headers , dakota gauges , PBH power steering brackets , alt bracket ect.
