An author is working on a project about love told through three couples -- one young, one mature, one elderly. The author is working with a woman he met three years earlier while she was training as a lawyer. The woman's grandparents are approached by an American studio to make a movie about their activities during the Nazi occupation of France.

Restoration Notes: This isn't a restoration per se. I mean, I don't have the original film negatives on which I have worked to remove all the faults. I downloaded an .iso of the complete DVD first and hardcoded the subs, which was followed by a lot of editing work on many minute details. The final export file (in .mov, because that's how you get the best results) was around 20 GB. Uploading this also took a lot of time...
Basically, it was a lot of work, more than I am used to for this channel because till now I have only been acquiring files from "sources" and uploading them as they are. But I thought this masterpiece by the late maverick is worth putting that much work on.
