- Using the latest pcsx2 with a 360 wired controller to play this. I had just imported this gamesave from gamefaqs so the guy did the whole game on critical mode which is insanely hard. So after getting used to the region differences for this game(O is attack instead of X) I gave the Roxas battle a go since you can't fight him in KH II. After a few tries I sloppily, but finally killed him. Really wish the final mixes were originally in english instead of having to wait 4 years for an english patch :( Gonna give Lingering Will a go next ! Wish me luck lol

Why didn’t they use the Original Roxas voice in the remix
2.5 had both BBS and 2 in it, so they just reused Ventus’ voice clips (Ventus also being voiced by Jesse Mccartney) to save time

Hmm...Actually Birth By Sleep was better in my opinion. But some people may not get to play it until Kingdom Hearts 2.5 comes out.
i see what you mean is was cooler but the combat in KH2 plus the summon and all the master with the rest me and the added boss and stuff form Final mix but Birth By Sleep is a good game
I liked BBS story line. But Dream Drop Distance had pretty good combat system too. But Final Mix is a pretty dope game. I have to admit, its one of my favorites.
I never played it before but if I had to give a reason, it'd be because you get to fight all 13 organization members. I just like fighting characters with style and different elements.

Not sure what you're asking. The name of the game is Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix. You can get it by downloading the link in the description, and after getting that, there's a .txt file that lead to the links to get the game itself.
Didn't really change any settings. Only thing I did change was the Custom Resolution to 1920x1080, and that was only to make the game look better. If your PC isn't running it up to par, you can try turning on Speedhacks(Config>Emulation Settings>Speedhacks) and set EE Cyclerate and VU Cycle Stealing to 3.

I don't remember if I even fought the silhouettes. You just need to play until you beat the Timeless River level, and then a whole should open up in the Hollow Bastion's Postern area, which is the Cavern of Remembrance, and once you traverse that, the Garden of Assemblage is unlocked, and that's what you're seeing in the beginning of this video.
I made it into a Self Extracting Archive, for those who don't have winrar. Just simply make sure you have all 15 parts in the same place, fully downloaded, open part1, choose a location, hit ok, and it should begin to extract them all into the joined .iso in the location you specified. Most important part that I can't reiterate enough is to have all 15 parts in the same place and all of them completely downloaded already.

In the PCSX2 window go to Config>Video(GS)>Plugin Settings and set the Custom Resolution to something higher. I set it to 1920x1080 for this video.

My monitor's max resolution is 1080p, so I just played it in fullscreen, so that made the resolution 1080p, and I altered the internal resolution to 1080p(to match my desktop's res) thru Config>Video(GS)>Plugin Settings and changing the custom resolution to 1920x1080.

? I'm not quite sure what you're asking. Kingdom Hearts II is a very very well known game, and this game is the Final Mix. It was only released in Japan and it has extra content over the American version, but some modder took it upon himself to make an english patch for it. The area you see in this video cannot be accessed in the american KH2. Everything you need to get/play the game is in the description.

Well if you have a good enough computer, you can go to Config>Video(GS)>Plugin Settings and change the custom resolution at which the game is rendered in. So in this video I upscaled the game to 1920x1080, but when I'm not recording I leave it upscaled to 3000x2000
@HeartlessSeph ah but I didn't use the pcsx2 built in recorder, didn't even know it had one. I just upscaled the games custom res and used fraps to record
@venomblade891 Works much better now. The built-in recorder shows the video at full speed regardless of slow downs but it's harder to play with the game going slow.
@HeartlessSeph Yep I set the custom res for PCSX2 to 1920x1080 like my desktop res. So the picture is upscaled to 1080p. I wanted to have the vids at 6x native which is like 3600x2400 but I can't record and keep it at 60 fps with that high of a res.
@ZenoxZagna Uh my settings are the same as everyone elses except I've raised the custom res to 1080p to make upscale the picture to look better, but that's because my computer can handle that. If yours is slow then your computer can't handle it, so turn on speedhacks from Config > Emulation Settings and turn on Speedhacks and change EE Cyclerate and VU Cycle Stealing to 3. Also, under Config > Video(GS)> Plugin Settings change the custom res to native. It'll look worse but run better
@f90087 doesn't matter where it goes because you use PCSX2 to browse and locate it. So just make sure you know where it is.
Yea I do :P. If you don't have it already, get the emulator, can still use the same one in the link in the description. Put game disc in, open emulator, click CDVD tab, change it from ISO to Plugin. Click System tab, Boot(Fast), and done. You'll still have to set your keys and all that, done thru Config>Controllers(Pad)>Plugin Settings.
for anyone who can't see your hp bar (after you actually get it) just change the resolution in videogs> plugin. i couldn't see it at first but changed to a higher res. and it showed up. swapped back and it's still there.

@f90087 you can use any usb game pad. If you have a wired xbox 360 controller that works flawlessly and is what I use for all my vids. There's a section in the guide I wrote in the notepad .txt where you got all the game links that explains how to map controls.
Just for clarification, KH2FM+ is a package of KH2FM and KH Re:CoM on two discs. This is just KH2FM.
There's really nothing to show. I just used fraps, and hit the record button lol. Note: Change frap's default record button from F9 to something else because when you hit F9 in PCSX2 it makes the game run at half speed. As for settings, everything is default, except for this video I upscaled the game to 1920x1080 to match my desktop resolution. But upscaling the games internal res makes the game more demanding, so if you're having trouble running it already, I wouldn't do this.
@ZenoxZagna fixed it. I had to allow 8bit texture.
Has anyone else reported any issues with the extraction? It keeps telling me that my disk is full but I have plenty of room...
@AssBurgersGr it syas in the guide i wrote, that to solve that problem you need to install VCRedist xD. The link is in the guide for that as well.
To compress it, and because I can't upload the full file in just one part. Normally the file, when put together is 4gb, but putting it in parts compressed it so it's half that size so you guys don't have to download as much. Also, mediafire only allows a maximum upload size of 200mb per part. So while less convenient for you, it saves you time and space in the long run.
Go to Config>Video(GS)>Plugin Settings and you can change the Custom Resolution to what you want. 1280x720 for 720p, 1920x1080p for 1080p, or anything in between. But that makes the game much more demanding, so if you couldn't run the game at default custom res, it won't run any better at a higher resolution.

I just downloaded the game and the mini-map doesn't show. Only the keyblade pointer shows. any idea how to solve it?

@NamekianBuu it's mentioned in the guide xD. There's a link for VC Redist or w/e the name is that fixes that problem.
@RZavala13 It says in the guide I wrote, that unless you have VCRedist 2008 installed that you'll get that error. Check out what I wrote, it has the download link for it.

Strength was at 80, and to use a controller depending on what it is, for a wired 360 controller it's as simple as plugging the controller in(via USB) and binding the controls to the controller in the emulator settings, very simple. Or for a PS3 controller which is what I use, I just use a program called "motioninjoy" and make it emulate a 360 controller, and then do the same binding process in the emulator, so it pretends to be a 360 controller, but isn't.
Well 1080p is quite a bit better looking than 1366x760 and that's what I had my custom res at for this video. Also, try hitting F4 in game and see if things don't slow down.
For the game to remain at full speed, needs to be at 60fps always, which is what I was at the whole time. No I'm not using speedhacks.
@Biosaiyan Go to Config > Video(GS) > Plugin Settings and set the custom resolution to native, and then go to Config > Emulation Settings and turn on Speedhacks and set EE Cyclerate and VU Cycle Stealing to 3.

As I said. If you've already set your custom resolution to native(Config>Video(GS)>Plugin Settings), and you've already turned on Speedhacks(Config>Emulation Settings>Speedhacks) and turned EE Cyclerate to 3 and VU Cycle Stealing to 3, there's nothing else you can do.
whenever i go to the pridelands and go to the wasteland scar's ghost appears my computer freezes and i restart i set it to the smallest window and still it freezes more stuff has gone on on screen before and went full speed
@XerosVideos That's actually the first thing I did, setting PCSX2's O to be X and X to be O, but I soon realized that it totally messed up using the menu and reaction sequences(like the one in the fight that needed me to hit the attack button). It was just too much of a hassle and like you said, now that I"m used to be, playing with X to attack is foreign to me now xD.

When it drops below 60 it's due to performance shortcomings on your PC. If you're already on native, only thing you can do now is turn on speedhacks(Config>Emulation Settings>Speedhacks) and set EE Cyclerate and VU Cycle Stealing to 3.
@notforvideos because when you get all parts, and join them they form a 4.3gb .ISO file which is the game. Which is the normal size of a dvd disc. I can't upload 4.3gb in one shot because megaupload only allows files under 1gb to be uploaded

Yea, I"m aware of that issue and outlined a fix in the guide I wrote. You should try referring to it, there's a link to the file that you need to install to get it working. Should be titled VCRedist 2008 or 2010.

@LucasZombie93 Well it's easy for me now, but at this time, I got the game, imported a fully done crit game save, and tried this guy like 2x. Was kinda hard to adjust having O to attack instead of X, but that's not a problem anymore
in this video I'm using a wired 360 controller. I use a ps3 controller now.
@Dxternator Alright from the PCSX2 main window go to the CDVD tab, and go to ISO Selector and browse and choose the game ISO. Then go to the System tab and choose either Boot CDVD(full) or Boot CDVD(fast). Doesn't matter which, fast will skip the ps2 movie that you'd see when putting a disc in.
I'm having trouble with the keypad in the emulator for some reason. It won't set the right stick properly.

Hey thanks so much i am going to like and sunscribe to u right now it works but one thing when am playing it doesnt show soras health or any part members like it shows mana for all but it shows health as empty if u know how to fix this please help if not dats ok.

Man, I hope my computer doesn't explode from the infinite awesomeness I will endure from this game.
There are things you can tweak to make it run better, but it doesn't guarantee that it'll run it at full speed with a laptop that couldn't handle it normally. In the PCSX2 main window go to Config > Video(GS) > Plugin settings and turn the Custom Resolution to Native. Then go to Config > Emulation Settings and go to the speedhacks tab and turn em on and set EE Cycle Rate and VU Cycle Stealing to 3 and then apply. After doing that, that's pretty much the best performance you'll get.
This is only for windows sorry. I don't know anything about the Mac PCSX2 if it even exists.

I don't have this CPU anymore, but I'm fairly certain I played this at stock and it was fine. I just OC'd for shits n gigs lol.
I think I see what you're talking about. When I said to set the resolution native, you just have to simple click and check off "Original PS2 Resolution".
