Thank you! I greatly appreciate your kind words and support, it has been an awesome experience! I will put together a full documentary about the adventure when I get home!
Hello and thanks for your comment! Haha that’s true, I took minimal clothes and folded them carefully to reduce the space they occupy as much as possible. These were placed in the three locations shown in the video in laundry bags. The only downside is that you can run out of clothes quickly if you’re not careful or if the weather is particularly hot and humid. I often managed to wear undies/socks/T-shirts for two days and would always take advantage of laundry services at hotels if we were staying two nights. I wore the same pair of black jeans virtually every day and only had one spare pair of very light pants for emergency. It worked well for this trip, there wasn’t really another option considering the need to simultaneously backpack and carry camera gear for birding
Awesome, thanks for the details! I'm currently planning my first longer backpacking/photography trip for south east asia and I think I'll really have to slip into the more minimalistic mindset for that! :D
That sounds like a great trip! One thing you can consider is taking the minimum clothes you think you can live with and then buying extra while away if you desperately need something
What a fun travel experience! Your virtual vacation brought the wildlife and friendly faces to life. Like and support from Indonesia.

Awesome trip Michael!
Thank you!!
Thanks for the inspiration. I just can't stop asking myself how little clothes you have with you and how you make due over such a long time?
