It's Jan 31st when I'm watching this. I spent all day today watching a murder trial video out of Fulton County where two punks senselessly took a life, fortunately both will never be back on the streets so justice served. But my heart is heavy. Right up until I see this child's absolutely infectious, beautiful smile and so full of life and the golden buzzer dream come true reminded me of all the beautiful joy in the world. I wish this little guy and all of his crew the most wonderful lives ever. Thanks for making me smile today. I really, reeeally needed it.

Quite the drum line, their instructor has given them expertise and confidence to be all they can be. All these kids have a great leg up on their lives as valuable citizens and people of character. You can feel the affect of their instructor’s emphasis on pride and commitment to being an integral part of something bigger than yourself
As a drummer, and having been in drumline for 8 years, this makes me happy. However, a drumline is a unit of people, not one. Focusing on this one kid is great for the show, but it just shows where we are as a society...always having to have some singular form as the focus point. Why don't we know the rest of these kids names, and ages? They worked just as hard and had just as much to do with the success. Makes me sad, to be honest.
