Oh yeah, that was one of the very first things I did! I'm a nerd, so I actually went through all of the menus before I even started jamming for the first time, and while I wasn't sure about some of them this one I switched on immediately! Meanwhile, I'm mostly used to hearing or, worst case, seeing the value based on the knob's position already. But this is still tremendously useful. I can't believe it's not switched on by default...
Thanks for the vid. It was actually something that was discussed in the comments that solved a long standing frustration of mine - ie how to get the knob back to the previously saved value. Easy now I know how. Thanks to you and the community for this.
This is essential and is on the monologue as well. The little arrow that indicates where the knob was on the last patch save is also enabled by this setting, I think...
there's a setting that tells you if your below > or above < its an arrow pointing (< > characters) in the direction to get back to the value set in the preset you have loaded. and when you get to the original stored value it shows a star/asterisk *
Hello,i really appreciate the monilogues tutorial,i would like to ask you which synth is better for begginer. Minilogue or wavestate? Only thing i will be missing in minilogue is thr restrictive polyphony of 4 notes. .....
Minilogue XD. I still find although it has limiting voices I can do one finger for bass and three for chords or do 4 fingers for 7ths. Thanks for the support! ✌️
Good to know, shame mines is boxed away and as a result maybe sold off to a better home soon. Not a bad synth, just find it hard to push through in mixes.
@@Tiger.Arcade let me expand on this too, when I just listen to my XD and noodle, it sounds great, when I have 4 or 5 other synths playing along with a Motu 828ES, I struggle to hear the synth and am reaching for the gains on the interface. It's frustrating as the XD does sound good, but I have a feeling it maybe a midrange issue that gets over powered with my other gear
@@dankeplace my monologue is not too bad in that respect but its not the biggest sounding synth (I didn't get it for that role). In general if you are having problems getting something to poke out in a mix apply some distortion. My monologue has a sort of drive built in but its a bit gritty for some styles. Try something which is more like valve distortion. The distortion adds harmonics that are not there in the original and generally beefs up the sound.

Glad it helped!✌️

I figured this was something for the other logue series! Idk why this wasn't the default tbh
T H A N K Y O U ! It's crucial also for effect parameters control such as delay time
Simple but really handy. Thanks.
LMAO I also did this the very same day I got mine. After months of window-shopping and watching your videos.
Awesome! Super useful.
Cheers for this man!! 👍🏽

get an EQ pedal for it.
Oh no! Love mine. No problems in the mix. Where did you feel it didn’t shine in your mix? Low end?
@@Tiger.Arcade It just does not play nice with my other gear so I need to push it in my mixes.
