    I would like to thank Be Quiet for providing us all a metal side panel option for their cases. I prefer the ruggedness, quietness and weight over eye candy of Tempered glass. sadly this option is nearly nonexistant for modern, quality cases on the market with the only exception being Fractal.

    As a long and loyal happy customer of BeQuiet! I love my Silent Base 801 and I think BeQuiet! deserves Kudos, I emailed the guys about the mesh front panel 0n the 802 and how it looked it would fit an 801, it was confirmed and when we realised it was hard to source in the UK, the guys kindly sold one to me and shipped it from Germany for a very modest shipping fee. What a difference it made to the airflow in the custom high end rig inside. 140mm lightwings look especially lush in the 801/802 1 rear 3x fronts and on the pureloop 280mm AIO up top. and i get 6x 140mm silent wings2 as spares :D if you only made the 140mm square and end plates like the vented style as an accessory...especially if you have 3 fans slung in the front.

    This is a very nice no-nonsense review, thank you!
    I really like the design that you can change it for silent en performance, I just hoped for a better-updated design case. One point for improvement, place the noise numbers next to the temp numbers, now I have to write them down... to get a better image of the performance.

    Would love to see the same kind of improvements for the next version of the dark base 700.
    I really like my dark base 700, it's aesthically just a beauty and offers a lot of funktionality. I just wish it would be more modular & flexibel, like the silent base 802.
    some ideas/concepts I would like to see:
    Detachable front and top covers;
    Slightly increase in height;
    for better compability with top aios(especially top 280mm radiators) and motherboard vrm & RAM and also for properly mounting 3x 140mm fans in the front.(you know what I'm talking about ;))
    Fan controller could be extented to support up to 12 fans;
    More bottom fan mounting positions;
    Power-button sync with RGB controller;
    2x USB-C ports and 4 x USB 3.0 ports at the front;
    Detachable SSD-bracket like in the pure base 500;
    Similar side panel mechnism and top vents like in the silent base 802; (NGL current TG side panel screws of the dark base 700 are a pain in the arse!)
    That's all for now :D

    With Pure Base 500, 500DX and 802 you reached next level of designing cases. To me, you just reached the top and now you are along the best. My feedback is that I wait for product for you essential - highest quality for poeple who prefer pay more for better, silence focused kinda workstation case. Legit successor for original Dark Base 900. And remember about poeple, who don't like glass and Jean Michel Jarre vibes from the case. Now it's like go Define or go worse, but you have better fans than Fractals - Silent Wings 3, which are stronger and even quieter. I compared them in Define 7 (3x140 1000 rpm comparison). So be quiet!, the time has come to beat Fractal :D

    A really nice case, i will buy the black version, but only because the white version is ALL white, i suggest a "white outside-black inside" version, like the old 500r carbide (just for reference), black inside help to create contrast and hide hole/cable/plastic fan case (the majority of components are dark), and adding a touch of white (ram, fan, cable mod) on a black panel is a lot better and easier than finiding a cool solution in a whole white space, all without giving up white on the external panels that are amazing and help lighten the presence of the case in bright rooms (a 55x55cm black case in a room with white walls and light wood is heavy), aesthetically be-quiet case are the best and fine looking cases on the market so that option should be a must.

      I've found top and static pressure fans pushing up thru rad is best with a rear out. With rad in front I put inside the case with fans in the external space works best drawing cool in but GPU temps will rise, up top best with 1 rear out and 2 or 3 intakes up front instead.this gives cool intakes and rad n exhaust keeps CPU cool, GPU will boost higher in this config and case is running nuetral fan pressure and quiet. If dual rad GPU rad n fans in front.

    I'll be honest, I'm currently trying to decide between this case, and the Lian Li Lancool II Mesh. From the reviews I've seen so far, the Silent Base 802 is more solidly built ajd definitely better looking, while the Lancool II Mesh still has an edge on cooling. One difference I've noticed is that just Like the Dark Base 900 Rev 2, Lian Li has mounting points for two fans on the PSU shroud, while the Silent base 802 has only one, and that one is offset towards the front of the case. Being able to push plenty of fresh cool air straight up towards the GPU seemed to be the difference in the most extreme tests. If it's possible to mount two fans on top of the Silent Base 802 fan shroud, that would be good to know.

      Because of the thickness the radiator adds. Fans only will fit. Fans and Radiator, don´t.

      Hello Francisco. Right now they are not available in Mexico directly - for the time being you can only import them. We're working very hard on changing that.

    Does this come inverted by default? I don't really want to spend time to reverse it back to normal but its nice to see a different way of building your pc

    I bought silent base 801 just a couple of weeks before the 802 announcement. Will you be selling some kind of upgrade kit with front/top panels and I/O ports?

    • @bequietofficial
      @bequietofficial  3 года назад +1

      Yes, there will be an upgrade option - but only in early 2021. Please contact our customer support (service@bequiet.com) about that.

    these cases are too big, i invite you to a little bit more minimalism.

      They do have smaller cases. Purebase 500DX is a standard ATX case

      i choose this in particular cause the new 30 series gpus would barley fit in the 500dx if the one i choose even would
      so no they arent to big
