I would like to thank Be Quiet for providing us all a metal side panel option for their cases. I prefer the ruggedness, quietness and weight over eye candy of Tempered glass. sadly this option is nearly nonexistant for modern, quality cases on the market with the only exception being Fractal.
As a long and loyal happy customer of BeQuiet! I love my Silent Base 801 and I think BeQuiet! deserves Kudos, I emailed the guys about the mesh front panel 0n the 802 and how it looked it would fit an 801, it was confirmed and when we realised it was hard to source in the UK, the guys kindly sold one to me and shipped it from Germany for a very modest shipping fee. What a difference it made to the airflow in the custom high end rig inside. 140mm lightwings look especially lush in the 801/802 1 rear 3x fronts and on the pureloop 280mm AIO up top. and i get 6x 140mm silent wings2 as spares :D if you only made the 140mm square and end plates like the vented style as an accessory...especially if you have 3 fans slung in the front.
This is a very nice no-nonsense review, thank you! I really like the design that you can change it for silent en performance, I just hoped for a better-updated design case. One point for improvement, place the noise numbers next to the temp numbers, now I have to write them down... to get a better image of the performance.
It isn't a review, it's a product demonstration by the manufacturer. Check out a channel like Gamers Nexus for really thorough reviews, especially when it comes to airflow and temperatures.

I had to cut the lower half of foam off of the rear side panel to allow the panel to close properly, clearance is fine without the foam, and possibly fine if you don't put any hdds into this case. Wish I had bought a different brands case now. None of the builds on youtube include hdds...
when will you make Pure Rock Slim 2 in black? Why can manufacturers of the 2nd and 3rd level (DeepCool, ID-Cooling) make coolers in white, but your company cannot?
If this is as easy as it looks in the video to convert from the silent to airflow-optimised configuration, it is exactly what I'm looking for. You didn't even mention the bottom intake. I personally inverted the case and used the top as intake to keep my GPU icy cool, but I am thinking it might be better to revert to non-inverted and use the bottom intake for GPU cooling, with the fan mounted to the PSU shroud.

I've found top and static pressure fans pushing up thru rad is best with a rear out. With rad in front I put inside the case with fans in the external space works best drawing cool in but GPU temps will rise, up top best with 1 rear out and 2 or 3 intakes up front instead.this gives cool intakes and rad n exhaust keeps CPU cool, GPU will boost higher in this config and case is running nuetral fan pressure and quiet. I'd like you to also release the 500dx mesh panel for purchase so that i can put it on my normal 500. Otherwise, the 802 looks really good and seems like it could become a no brainer purchase for its class.
I have this case coming this week with a 360 AIO. I'm going to put it on top like you guys did since they are the best temps. Are the AIO fans exhausting or intaking (Pushing or pulling). and assuming front is intake and rear is exhaust with that configuration?
I'll be honest, I'm currently trying to decide between this case, and the Lian Li Lancool II Mesh. From the reviews I've seen so far, the Silent Base 802 is more solidly built ajd definitely better looking, while the Lancool II Mesh still has an edge on cooling. One difference I've noticed is that just Like the Dark Base 900 Rev 2, Lian Li has mounting points for two fans on the PSU shroud, while the Silent base 802 has only one, and that one is offset towards the front of the case. Being able to push plenty of fresh cool air straight up towards the GPU seemed to be the difference in the most extreme tests. If it's possible to mount two fans on top of the Silent Base 802 fan shroud, that would be good to know.
When are you going to improve (on such a large case) the cable routes at the back? I have seen what can be done with some decent routes and how this one looks... and this is a messy affair. All the rest seems good. I am expecting my new build with the 802 in 3 weeks (it takes so long nowadays). I decided to get a cheaper CPU (I have a workstation running a Xeon processor) and air cooled it, but would like to know when will you have an AIO that will have a LED/OLED screen to show temps (for example)?

Gutted as it was a case i really wanted and gutted its not fully accessorised like the windowed version. Before people start telling me you dont need them on the solid pannel, again i want them in the right place closed or open. I dont want windowed case as i run a projector in the room and like preventing any light spillage so i get a great 4k uhd image on my home theatre 100inch screen. MAKE THE WHITE HD COVERS FOR THE BE QUIET 802 PLEASE I BEG YOU.
Kind of defeats the purpose of trying to keep the PC quiet if it ends up to choking the air from your fans to the point where you hit TJ. Max. I do like this case, but no way would I ever use the covered panels. The better the airflow, the less fan speed you need to maintain normalized temperatures, the quieter your case will be.
Our noise chamber tests prove you can lower the noise by using the silence covers. Because even you use the silence covers there is still air going through the side vents which is enough to run the PC at full load - just as shown in this video :)
What is the setup for the demo? I plan to buy the 802 with pureloop 360, à third silent wings 2 in front, for a ryzen 5900x CPU and 6900xt GPU. Is it a good idea?
tu devrais plutôt prendre des silent wing 3, encore plus silencieux... et plutôt un ventirad air comme le NH-D15 pour un meilleur refroidissement et en silence ;)
I have Saletn base 801, can i buy Airflow front pannel separately cuz my 360rad. is in front, or do i need to buy 2 pc caser just to solve airflow problem? Thanks
Hello Francisco. Right now they are not available in Mexico directly - for the time being you can only import them. We're working very hard on changing that.
Does this come inverted by default? I don't really want to spend time to reverse it back to normal but its nice to see a different way of building your pc

I just got the info that the Silent Base 802 Window in black should be available end of this month. I hope you can wait a bit longer.
really wanted this case but the non windowed solid side panel version. But theres a problem for me. yes its not glass so you cant look in but i take pride in my builds and im a little bit anl. the solid version doesn't include hd covers. at first i though t ok ill buy them separately, because i really like this case. unfortunately I've looked on the web and no one is selling white hd covers online. no one and ive spend days and hours every time looking for them. Even asking be quiet all i got was were sold out. very disappointed that a case this varietY of changing parts doesn't come with hd covers. hell if i could buy the windowed version and a separate spare solid panel i would, but they dont seem possible to get either, even though i haven't looked for them all that hard. personally white hd covers should be included in both versions and if not they should be available freely.
How much of a difference in noise levels does the side wall make compared to the window?
There is a difference, but it's really negligible.
@@bequietofficial Thanks bought the non window version today.
The cpu hit 95c. Enough said
@@bequietofficial But with the airflow panels you can run the fans slower and still get better cooling. Result similar noise.
In all realness tho, where do I get one of those hoodies?
Not publicly yet, unfortunately.
Thanks
Hello. Please contact our support team (service@bequiet.com) - my colleagues will be able to help you there.
Top real put water cooler fan two 140mm ???? oronly 3 120mm ???
Because of the thickness the radiator adds. Fans only will fit. Fans and Radiator, don´t.
will the 802 fit an rtx 4080 reference card?
The Silent Base 802 will fir GPU´s up to 432mm if there is no HDD cage installed in that height
Where can I buy one of those Silent Base 802 Black Windows in Mexico? i need one
Hello Francisco. Right now they are not available in Mexico directly - for the time being you can only import them. We're working very hard on changing that.
@@bequietofficial
just to know. a silent loop 280 fit good on top? i got one last month (self gift)
Will I be able to install my X62 KRAKEN on the top as Gamer Nexus taught us?
Yes, that should work just fine.
Please sell in India also. :(
The idea is certainly cool. But where to store all this junk - removable panels?
When does it go on sale?
It already is, got mine yesterday from Mindfactory in Germany
It is already.
Does this come inverted by default? I don't really want to spend time to reverse it back to normal but its nice to see a different way of building your pc
No, it's not inverted by default.
I bought silent base 801 just a couple of weeks before the 802 announcement. Will you be selling some kind of upgrade kit with front/top panels and I/O ports?
Yes, there will be an upgrade option - but only in early 2021. Please contact our customer support (service@bequiet.com) about that.
@@bequietofficial THANKS
das hätte ich dann doch noch etwas lieber als mein Dark Base 700 :D
Лучшие!
Cant wait for gamersnexus to review this one
They like it.
Someone listened to Gamers Nexus.
Ахаха!? 😂
В этот не дешёвый корпус воткнуть для теста AMD Ryzen 3600xt!? 😂😂😂
И ещё что в этом корпусе такого, что он такой дорогой!? 😢
these cases are too big, i invite you to a little bit more minimalism.
They do have smaller cases. Purebase 500DX is a standard ATX case
i choose this in particular cause the new 30 series gpus would barley fit in the 500dx if the one i choose even would
so no they arent to big
