    We COULD be better than ever- but we also have massive variability this season. Our best season ever- we had a legit 6th man with Bruce. We haven’t had a good bench for Jokers entire career. People don’t seem to understand that even low efficiency Russ is better than our bench generally- we are generally -10 with our bench. Russ will at least attack the basket which we have missed since Will Barton leaving

    The GM has left the team without reliable, dependable players outside of the starters.

      yeah, i mean, there’s a chance the upside play pays off. but it’s a huge risk, and if Michael Malone isn’t fully on board, it gets even harder

    AG is the 2 players because is so complementary to joker
    Its easy find a g like Jamal but a wing like AG? No chances

  • @NopNn-z8r
    @NopNn-z8r 2 месяца назад

    Pwat is going to need to replicate the AG offense I think. Corner 3s, baseline cuts, elbow jumper. He’s going to get very few shots though. He is going to try and force it I think which will be a problem.

    • @NopNn-z8r
      @NopNn-z8r 2 месяца назад

      also- let’s not forget that Pwat shot 40% for the first I think 40 games last year? Then he of course fell off hard. I think he’s a 34% low volume 3 pt shooter unfortunately. A ton hinges on Russ taking 2-3 shots less bad shots a game in our offense. Then those shots need to go to Strawther

    • @HardwoodKnocksNBA
      @HardwoodKnocksNBA  Месяц назад

      good points in both comments. I actually think P-Wat has the ability to shoot around 36% to slightly above league average on more volume. your point about him potentially forcing it interesting since they haven't really paved the way for him to take on more volume. what you say about russ is what so many have said for years (and you're right!). I default to skepticism with it, but we've seen aging stars change their games in the past so maybe this is his wakeup call?

    I don't think last years playoff are the new Jamal. I'm expecting a bounce back from the bad playoffs.

    • @HardwoodKnocksNBA
      @HardwoodKnocksNBA  2 месяца назад +2

      that’s fair for sure. still need to see him be more consistent/available though-especially as you get to relying more on younger players who project to be in the rotation

      Yeah- he was injured. Period. The problem is, it’s dumb that he played in the Olympics and risked his next season

    Nuggets fans now know how heat fans felt with d wade...he was always hurt thus couldn't perform to his peak in most games....every franchise goes through this

    How about OKC as a matchup?

      With hart the okc thunder have the size now

      @HardwoodKnocksNBA  Месяц назад

      I actually think OKC is a tougher matchup for Denver than Minnesota now personally. Hartenstein gives them a better body to throw at Jokic, and while no one can stop him, you won't have to be as frenzied guarding him defensively. I do think okc needs shot-creation growth from Chet and/or j-dub to actualize my point tho.

    Signing WB for his “leadership”… wow. That pretty much tells you how acutely poor in his assessment on WB. Good luck Nuggets fans. Keep your faith on Adam.

      i think Adam has done a nice job balancing "if it works out" with skepticism. and his points about the vocal structure in Denver ring true to me.

      @@HardwoodKnocksNBAI’m sorry to say this. Your business model in RUclips just doesn’t work. You keep inviting designated correspondents on each team who will never say a bad word about their own teams. And you wind up being a stupid yes man acknowledging all the biased views in favour of their own team.
      The issue is, what Adam said is not only biased, but it’s also outdated as i have heard exactly the same thing from him in lock on nuggets (barring the Murray extension) ever since Westbrook signed with the nuggets. So you are essentially providing your viewers with biased and outdated views from someone else. If you bother to do your own research on Westbrook with the clippers over the past two years, you will know why the clippers are willing to give up on him for nothing, and why Kawhi PG Harden did not stand up for him on the court when he shoved Luka in the mavs series. And why no teams want this “leader” and “energy guy” other than jokic - who so happen to share the same agent.
      So why should i listen to you instead of lock on nuggets for more updated views in the first place?
      Unless you exert your own efforts to do your own research instead of acting like a news reporter free riding on others for biased outdated views, your channel is going nowhere.

    Braun starting means the team is so cooked… one player can only do so much. Just trade jokic of this the squad they gonna stick him with

      I'm choosing to believe you're the fan of a team you'd like to see trade for Jokic, in which case I respect the hell out of this comment lmao

    I wish people would stop giving Adam a platform he doesn’t know how the second apron works. KCP can’t guard the 1st 2nd or 3rd best player. He played more minutes but stats are barely better than Braun. Braun was closing playoff games guarding AE.

    • @HardwoodKnocksNBA
      @HardwoodKnocksNBA  Месяц назад +1

      strongly disagree. Adam is among the best and most insightful in the business. and while Braun did a better job in certain matchups defensively, including against Ant, the bar for good isn't "can player x shut down superstar y."

    • @jalendixon1264
      @jalendixon1264 Месяц назад

      @@HardwoodKnocksNBA but kcps biggest strength is his defense. In a perfect world yes you keep him but if they gave him what he wanted could they have made the few moves they were able to make with very minimal assets, could Murray have gotten his money, and could AG get what he deserves if he opts in? Nuggets had a depth issue resolving that was more important than over paying for a great but aging role player when you have a comparable rising cheap young talent on the bench.
