    Great video!
Huge Russell Westbrook fan and i am rooting for The Denver Nuggets this season because he is on the roster.
    He can help.
The key is the Jokic/Murray duo.
As long as they remain an elite nba duo, The Nuggets will remain in the 48-55 win range.
I think they need a little more consistency from MPJ.
Can't wait for the season to get started!
The nba is going to be 🔥

      @@fresnoniiji .....yea he's a really nice player.
I'm not sure i would want him on the floor for 30-34 mins per game but if he can be Denver's point of attack defender on the perimeter, his lack of natural scoring ability might not hurt the starting unit.
If Braun is in with the starters i think this puts more stress on both Murray and MPJ, to pick up their scoring.
Jokic and Gordon are fine(even though i think Jokic could actually tick up a bit more in pts per game)
I would actually like to see the three headed monster of Jokic, Murray, and Westbrook on the floor for 30-34 mins per game.
I think by shifting Murray to sg and adding Westbrook as the pg, The Nuggets get two of the best play makers(for others) in the history of the game on the floor together, which should also free up Jamal Murray to take on an even bigger scoring role.
It's my view they would have the #1 or #2 offense in pro basketball(points per game and efficiency)
I think this allows players like Braun, Strawther, Watson, Saric, and others to be what they are at the moment and that is role players.
I do believe The Nuggets need one more veteran role player and there are some good ones still floating around in the free agent market(not sure about the health of everyone)
The player that stands out to me as a potentially good acquisition is Robert Covington.
I'm not sure what his health status is but he is always a solid veteran player that competes hard on the defensive end and can make open 3pt shots.
I think The Nuggets will start the season using Westbrook more in the Bruce Brown vein(22-28 mins per game off the bench) but i think that will change if Braun is not giving them the scoring punch they need.

Great video. This is the year the coaching staff needs to get really creative with the lineups combination and strategies. Only time will tell if Christian Braun will be able to fill KCP's shoes. I believe he can because just physically, Braun is bigger and stronger than KCP. Against opposing SGs, Braun can be a walking mismatch if he knows how to use his strength to his advantage. In the 2nd round of playoffs, Braun was the only player who guarded ANT the best. Defensively, I think he's a great option at SG. Offensively, it is where there may be some growing pains. In a way, Braun is like a mini AG. Both aren't shooters, but they can contribute on the floor in so many ways. Tbh, you can make an argument for starting Julian Strawther or Peyton Watson at SG as well. Strawther gives you more fire power from 3s. While Watson gives you defensive versatility plus insane size and length on the floor. But personally, I would still start Braun because I like the combination of Strawther and Watson coming off the bench with Westbrook. Btw, I would give this off season a "C" grade too. I feel like people giving it a lower grade are overreacting. And I know this isn't the front office's fault, but if DaRon Holmes is healthy I would give this offseason a "B" or "B-" which wouldn't be as bad. The rookie's Achilles injury was just devastating. Almost every single year, Nuggets have a player suffering from season ending injury. Jamal Murray in 2021, Vlatko Cancar in 2023, and DaRon Holmes in 2024.

I swear everyone is acting like KCP is irreplaceable. He was the oldest and most replaceable player out of the starting 5. Not to mention, KCP started to show signs of some wear and tear during the playoffs. I think he has some nagging injuries that could just get worse with age. KCP is amazing at what he does, but at the end of the day he's a role player. Replacing KCP with Braun and upgrading the bench doesn't mean the team is not a contender anymore. lol

I mean he was nowhere near an all star but that doesn’t mean for Denver specifically the loss isn’t big. It absolutely is, he was an exceptional fit, and he also has been extremely important to their success. I’m not saying they won’t be fine, I mean my take is that they’re still gonna be great, I like the offseason moves a lot but while all of that is true, it’s also a big loss that I believe makes things a little more difficult for the coaching staff and rotations in particular.

The way I see it, the starting 5 is a BIT worse this season:
Jokic and Gordon will do their thing, MPJ and Murray I expect a bounce-back season and Braun I think will end the season closer in ability to KCP than some might expect, but yeah, all in all a slightly weaker starting 5 than last year.
    That being said, I'm taking
Šarić - Čančar - Watson - Strawther - Westbrook 7 days a week and twice on Sunday over Jordan - Nnaji - Watson - Braun - Jackson. I think the bench will be MUCH better and, most important, Jokic and Murray should get way more rest this year so I'm an optimist.
Only real complaint I had was not going for a Nnaji - Mičić trade.

    • @LLawliet-tv9ig
      @LLawliet-tv9ig 2 месяца назад

Great points. I agree that the starting 5 got slightly worse while bench is much improved. Better bench also means more rest for the starters and keeping them healthy heading into the playoffs. The only bummer this off season is the Daron Holmes injury. That killed me. On top of giving up draft capital, we can't integrate a player for the rest of the season who I believe can contribute to the team on Day 1. That's also why a huge reason why I think Zeke hasn't been traded is because we need a defensive big in the front court off the bench. Cancar and Saric will no doubt develop great chemistry for the 2nd unit and provide great free flowing offense, but I think they're gonna get cooked on defense if both play at the same time. Maybe it would work seamlessly if we're talking about pre-injury Cancar. But after the season ending injury, I'm just not sure if he has the athleticism to play the same level of defense he was playing before. So health plays a huge factor on if Cancar can be a permanent rotation piece for the Nuggets. Nonetheless, I think Nugget's 9 man rotation is pretty solid.

Rumor ramblings... Not confirmed, but interesting - leaked denver nuggets conversation between Jeff Kroenke (owner) and Calvin Booth (GM):
Owner: Hi Calvin, what's up man... how are we doin?
GM: Hi Josh... Some jerks on soc media are calling you/stan and me out for lying about Jokic's prime and being cheap... But nothing substantial. We're good... I mean you're good - I'm the pariah at this point.
Owner: Oh... well... but you'll get that check Calvin... Focus on that... Stan and I have a $4B offer, so there will be a lot to go around... Just toe the line, stay quiet and we all will have a Champaigne breakfast.
GM: But... but... they're pointing at my IQ... my character... They say I'm a slimy garbage!
Owner: Oh... don't worry about it... Think about that new Cadillac... Fans are idiots. Especially Nuggets fans. They wont remember any of this in couple of months... Or even weeks.
GM: but... what about Jokic, Aaron and Michael?
Owner: Who? What? Seriously, focus on the prize Calvin. Don't get distracted.
GM: Oh... ok... that cadillac... it comes with the air-freshener, right?
Owner: Of course Calvin. Two in fact. One in front and one in the back.
GM: Phew... Thanks. I like the one in the back boss.
Owner: Yeah... I know. It's nice.
Aaand... That was the end of Jokic's prime and AG's prime and MPJs career.
Again, this conversation is not "confirmed" - it is leaked (I'm unofficially informed) by one of the Nuggets staff (FO) members... but it's not officially confirmed.
Take it with a grain of salt.

    Losing kcp was big loss

  • @SDesWriter
    @SDesWriter 2 месяца назад +1

The problem is that they were already stretched thin and then they lost KCP. It's not so much that they are "worse," but they have absolutely no room for error. A bad shooting game from Porter or another injury to Murray and they have no way to compensate. They overpaid MPJ and it's coming back to haunt them. They needed to bring in a legit starter and keep Braun where he was. Now that he's a starter, they have to hope he acclimates quickly. I think Westbrick (sorry, after intentionally injuring Luka on a hit out of bounds, I've lost all respect for him) is a solid enough player to make their bench better and even start when Murray is out. Just as long as they don't ask him to shoot 3s.....

These are all excellent points. It’s a very good insight, I will say, I think Saric will be better than expected as far as contributions. At least enough to let Gordon or Jokic rest from time to time, I also think improvement from Strawther will be big, as you stated, it will NEED to be! Hopefully Watson improves as well, thanks for the feedback! 🙏🏻

I didn’t know anything about him and just assumed he was a power forward because that’s where they were playing him but they’re saying his natural position is SG/SF so if Saric does help at the power forward position that would be an enormous help to them having impact off the bench.
