- Wow! A bit hectic at the river mouth this morning with quite a few boats going aground in the lower estuary and a few getting caught out by the long rolling swell on the bar. A few tinnies aborted their crossing and surfed back in. One tinny even ended up on the North Shore before re-launching and (successfully) going again. Overcast but otherwise quite pleasant with a 4 to 6 knot southerly breeze blowing. BOM forecast is for east to south easterly winds about 10 knots becoming north to north easterly 10 to 15 knots in the late afternoon. Seas: Below 1 metre. Swell: South to south easterly around 1 metre inshore, increasing to 1.5 to 2 metres offshore. Filmed between 6.00am and 7.00am which was about two and a half hours after a 0.23m low tide. Background Music: 'Coastline'... by TrackTribe.
This is the boating version of i got bogged at inskip
Agreed what a disgrace when you lol look at nsw’s many river mouth developments
Happy Fathers Day...
The only potential 'all weather port' between wide bay bar and Brissy ... and a govt that refuses to maintain or develop it. Is it going to take offshore deaths or rollovers on attempted entry before anything is done?
