    June, 15, 2021, Stayed in Cabin Hallow on a dead end spot next to a dry river bed. As we set up camp a couple horse riders came through, then no one. Left our camp set up to explore Arches and came back to find our camp undisturbed. Stayed 3 days with no problems. Thanks for the info.

    Great video on opportunities at Bryce. I'm there right now at the entrance road to Red Canyon Trailhead. Lots of photo opportunities here at Red Canyon and I can use my quad ATC to get around. Note: To get into Red Canyon your ATV can be no wider than 50 inches. This should cover most ATCs but side-by-sides ATVs aren't going to make it. To enforce this rule is a little bridge-type structure you have to cross that's 50 inches wide with heavy steel sides.

    Well produced content. However, by disclosing these spots people are just going to ruin everything good about them. Too many people will result in them getting shut down. Part of the challenge of dispersed camping is hunting out those secret quiet spots. Once they are known to the masses they get ruined. Just my $.02.

      We respect this line of thinking. Campendium pairs the sharing of designated camping spots on our public lands with resources for learning to be a good steward of our shared lands. If you're interested in learning more about protecting our public lands, head over to the sustainability portion of the Campendium blog:

    I note that there is a tunnel in the background a couple of times in the video. If I recall this tunnel is on the main road going to Bryce. Do you know the clearance for that tunnel? Love the video. I recommend the hike from the rim down into the fins. Beautiful.

    • @Campendium
      @Campendium  4 года назад +1

      The tunnel clearance is 13'- 6" but be careful as the sides slope down dramatically. We noticed a large gash in the tunnel wall undoubtedly from a trailer that got too close!

    • @thomfisher1100
      @thomfisher1100 4 года назад

      @@Campendium Well, my rig is 13 ft 6 inches, so no tunnel for us. Thanks for the info. Is there another way into the area without the tunnel?

    Thanks for many great videos and info. One thing I would like to know is water source, for those like me who travels light and don't want to carry many gallons of water for cooking and bathing. This info would be great to include in your future videos. And of course, where can one swim if allowed. Thanks again.

    Great video, one bit of information that would be very helpful for us pulling large 5th wheels is how accessible these places are for our big rigs. It's always difficult to find good information on the size of rig that is appropriate for the sites.

    • @Campendium
      @Campendium  4 года назад

      You can find more information - and information on what is known about accessibility for rig size - over on the the Campendium website. Search for the campground you're interested in and see other if have reported being able to squeeze into a spot - or use the direct contact or website provided on Campendium for further research: www.campendium.com - Liz

    Hey guys. I’m planning to buy a B+ / C class RV for myself and my german shepherd to travel and camp off-grid around the US for a year.
    I’d like the van to be spacious, and have great off-grid capabilities such as solar panel extension option, etc.
    I’ll be working for maybe 4-5 hours a day, so would require good internet connection and power supply. I also like to watch Netflix at night lol. So good power supply is key.
    I have personally liked Thor Delano and RVs similar but I’m unsure if they’re fit for the lifestyle mentioned above
    Could you all please guide me? Any links or suggestions would be highly appreciated

    Nice report. I'll use the dispersed sites this fall when I return. We were there 2wks ago with the family. With 6 of us creating so much body heat in the RV, we had to have FHU, so we stayed at Bryce Canyon Pines campground, about 10min outside the NP. It was hot, in the high 80's. We needed the AC running, even at night. Had a great time though, incredible hoodoos. Here's my drone footage.... ruclips.net/video/UWgiks5Dz-c/видео.html

    I'll echo what one other person with common sense said on here but with less eloquence: Yo! Way to ruin this place! I camped here a few times years ago and would have liked to continue using it for future ventures to the park, by seeking clout on RUclips you've even lessened your own chances at being able to camp here again. What irony!

      We welcome the Campendium community to share and review great (and not so great) camping spots. We also work to educate the community on protecting our public lands, which have been set aside for all of us to enjoy. If you're looking for a new spot to camp, we welcome you to use the website or app to find it. :) If you're looking for information on protecting public lands - we share that too! - Liz

      We live in the region. The secret got out in 2015 when Utah ran their Mighty Five tourism campaign. Tourism has exploded in the area since then. Still, lots of public lands to get out and see the not so popular but equally beautiful countryside.
