Seeing George was the highlight of our day! So pleased to see him looking happy & well. Our dog, Jack (a sprocker spaniel cross), barks at the screen and looks somewhat bemused (and perhaps even slightly offended) that George ignores him and doesn't return the greeting.
So great to have y'all back making videos. I've really missed ya and I only finally watched all your videos earlier this year lol. Nice to see some glimpses of the renovations. I understand that there may not be more videos on the renovations because I know you both have been busy and going through things that may have impeded you doing more but was wondering if you are doing anymore of those. Whether there is or not more reno vids I'd love to see a new tour of the boat :)
Thanks, its good to be back. We have lots of footage of the renovations which I might put together soon. We are also planning to do a tour video too. Watch this space.
Narrowboat Perseverance is resurrected in Jesus lock on Good Friday. Epic or what?!!!!! SOOoooooo wonderful to see you you Michael and Jo and George….and this gorgeous bit of water. So lovely to see it in spring colors to compare with the autumnal glow we saw last time! So great to see you again!!! 💖😎👏
What a treat, it’s lovely see you again, and on the evening when we have just arrived back from a boating holiday (Norfolk Broads), so are already having withdrawal symptoms and appreciate a boating video.
Weird or what! Only yesterday I was thinking about the three of you, and what happens, I boot up to watch my RUclips videos and there you are. Welcome back. As I started watching I wondered about George, it was great to see him, he must be getting on a bit now. I have followed you virtually from your very first video, enjoyed Mickell's sense of humour, and the banter between the two of you. I'm so pleased your back.
Thank you for that, glad we could give you a bit of a surprise. George is getting on, but still quite healthy and energetic. While I doubt we’ll get back to the kind of output we did on our grand tour we hope to put out more content (and more regularly) in the future, knock wood! M
Hey Jo, Micheal and off course George ,nice to see familiar faces back. Micheal you shore slimed down even more than your last video. Joe as pretty as ever and as is George. A nice start to new adventure's . All the best from Australia.
Thank you! Yeah there’s been some changes in me, though to myself I look more battered than better. Physically pretty healthy though! Glad to be back! M
Good to see the boat on the move - and also to chat to Michael on the train a few weeks. I will have another go at getting the padlock sorted - the logical solution is I think to have the EA lock on one end of the chain and the Camcon lock on the other end. That would stop this problem recurring. (I had better not say what I did when I was faced with the same problem). It is actually possible to access the offside without using the bridge, there is a ladder on the back side of the lock island. PS the lock landings are the responsibility of the City Council, I think they know they will need to do something about them, Best wishes Simon (Cam Conservator)
Thanks Simon… yeah, a lock on each end is the obvious solution, I would think. Failing that a sign or diagram explaining to keep the EA lock on the bridge and the combo lock run through the hasp on the EA lock.. then the EA can disable the combo lock when they need to. Without some explanation I can imagine this happens pretty often. M
I'm glad to see you there. I was just talking about your last trip here as I walked over Jesus Green Bridge with my family at Christmas. Fantastic to see that you have decided to do it with Perseverance. Keep well and I hope to see you out on the cut more in the near future.
Hope to be seen again sooner rather than later! Will take us a bit to sort out our immediate future plans, but hopefully more and more often again soon. M
Really glad to see everyone. Michael how you felt after navigating the punts is how I feel when I have to drive in Downtown Denver. The cars and pedestrians really stress me out.
Having only been to that Denver only once I can’t really remember the traffic, but I do remember it being a very busy place… you should come visit the Denver near King’s Lynn it got its name from, much more sedate! M
A lovely surprise video, great to see you back. How’s the course going … enjoying it? I hope you surprise us a few more times with your lovely videos. Take care
It's been a minute since I've seen you guys, good to see you hope all is well. Because my brain is getting a little worn out with age I didn't pick up on where this is located. Beautiful area from the canal view, I will have to go back and listen closer to where it's located. :)
Welcome back for now! I am glad I kept your channel on my list. Good to see that - the usual workings of time not withstanding - you are still the same people you have always been! (Michael has to re-train his camera arm, definitely! 😅) What a tour! First thing getting back to being used to steering a boat ... and all the punts ... and the bridges ... and ok, the wind and current, a you say! Good work! And I hope you'll let us all see some of your future trips. Thanks for a nice piece of entertainment!
Glad to see you back with a new video! I owe you both (and George of course) a debt of gratitude for helping me get through the covid years - your videos helped me maintain some sense of calm in the midst of the craziness. Hope Michael's studies in Cambridge are going well - I got my CompSci degree in the other Cambridge at a small tech school on the banks of the River Charles :-).
Thank you for that. Glad we could help anyone through Covid, such a mad time (and mad that it’s not over yet). My studiy plans are part of what went awry, but hopefully I can get to a place to explain more soon. M
You have been so missed. Really good to hear your natural down to earth commentary and chat again. George really did appear very interested in the sights, or he may just have been on 'ball watch'. Y'all come back now, y'hear? (sorry, just watched the Beverley Hillbillies, but the sentiment is true)
Michael, you look much healthier than last few vlogds i have watched...it has been a while. I saw on someones vlog that Jo was at Crick selling the maps which i was happy to see. It gave me hope that you two would be vloging travels again. Hope to see you both with George on vlogs this summer. Hglad you're back, happy travels.😊
We’ve had some complicated life events, but planning on doing a bit more this year (once a few medical loose ends get tied up)… so hopefully more soon! M
Welcome back. We look forward to you coming back to Braunston - the beating heart of the canal network. Much has happened since you last cruised this area!
Holy moley, I didn't hardly recognize you George! Looking great, as does Jo as always. Glad to see you both again and looking forward to new videos. (We're still a bit winter here in upstate NY, ugh, so some cruising videos are most welcome.)
What a treat, like many others, I've really missed your videos. You both look really well, thank you for sharing this scenic if somewhat stressful cruise, and so lovely to see George!
Thank you! Glad you’re still watching from over there! Long story that I’m hoping I can tell in a video soon, though it’s not the easiest story to tell. Hopefully more soon. M
Nice to see another video . I shall live vicariously until next winter :-) . We planned to do it last week , but abandoned due to some mechanical issues. . Explains why we saw Perseverance moored up though

My great grandfather ran in the land, run and staked his claim in Gould Oklahoma. We also spent many many years doing family reunions at Quartz Mountain Lodge. It’s a small world.
Welcome back George and family
Thank you Eugene
hay Y'all good to see you playing on the water again. We have missed you.
Its good to be back.
It's great to have you back!
Seeing George was the highlight of our day!
So pleased to see him looking happy & well.
Our dog, Jack (a sprocker spaniel cross), barks at the screen and looks somewhat bemused (and perhaps even slightly offended) that George ignores him and doesn't return the greeting.
We’re sorry George isn’t more dog-responsive on Jack’s telly!! Give him an apology cuddle for me! M

Great to see you back.
Thank you.

So lovely to see it in spring colors to compare with the autumnal glow we saw last time! So great to see you again!!! 💖😎👏
It was pretty epic, though we didn’t knowingly or intentionally mean to the Biblical! M
It's good to see you back. Looks like George liked the attention of all the punters.
George always likes the attentions! M
Great to see you back on RUclips! Your posts are essays on the importance of the inconsequential - a joyous celebration and a tonic for the soul.
Hmm, essays on the importance of the inconsequential… that might be a theme to pick up for the future! M
Awesome video great to see you back and George too 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you.
Awe so good to see you back! And good boy George!
He is a very very good boy! Even says so on his tags now! M
Yay George is back! Nice to see Jo and Michael too of course 😂
Thanks David. George is happy to be back.
What a treat, it’s lovely see you again, and on the evening when we have just arrived back from a boating holiday (Norfolk Broads), so are already having withdrawal symptoms and appreciate a boating video.
Glad we could give you a fix! M
This was a lovely video, well done, very serene n chill feeling to it. 👍😀👍
So good to see you three again. Those punts looked scary to navigate.
There were quite a few of them to avoid but they were mostly expertly piloted.
Weird or what! Only yesterday I was thinking about the three of you, and what happens, I boot up to watch my RUclips videos and there you are. Welcome back. Welcome back, you've been missed. Great video. 10/10
Thank you so much! M
Good to see another video from you. Did we ever get a proper tour of the boat remodel? Would love to see it now.
I don’t think we did one, but yeah it’s a good idea, even if we only ever got to the 98% done point! M
I've been binge watching your older videos as someone new to your channel. Glad to see you back.
There is quite a few to get through. Welcome and thanks for watching.
Great seeing you guys and George as well! Hope to see more from you soon.
More to come, hopefully slightly more regularly! M
Good to see you both on our screens again.
Very pretty ' backs ' of the Cam.
We trust you are both well.
Take care both.
Thank you! M
Great to see you on the waterways! Thanks for the vlog.
Our pleasure! Thanks for watching.
Nice surprise .Welcome back to you and George!!! Enjoyed the architecture..Enjoyed the First leaves of Spring ....thanks! 😊🌹
Glad you enjoyed it! M

Both of you looking well, so lovely to see our George again
Thank you! George is especially glad to be back! M
Yay! Glad you are back. ❤ Best laid plans indeed... That's what makes life interesting. George seemed to be happy to be back on the water.
Interesting is definitely the word. He was quite happy, though more so than the night two before when he was back in rather than on! M
Welcome back Michael and Jo. Wish you the best.
Thank you, much appreciated.
Great to see you again
Thank you.
I'm so glad your back!
Thank you! M
Nice to see you back. Wonderful scenery
Thank you! M
Good to see you two again. Gla you are healthy and going to do a little boating.
Thanks! A little, bit by bit… we’re looking forward to it after the last couple of years! M

I think David found George’s ball when they drained the Pontcysillte. 😂😂 Happy to see you all.😊
George misses that ball! M
Aww, nice to see you both again and GEORGE!! ❤
and of course my home town!
Glad you liked it! M
Loved it looking forward to seeing more from you guys,
Hoping to be back in The Shire this summer
I'm glad to see you there. I was just talking about your last trip here as I walked over Jesus Green Bridge with my family at Christmas.
Fantastic to see that you have decided to do it with Perseverance.
Keep well and I hope to see you out on the cut more in the near future.
Thank you! Hope to be out more! M
It's still enjoyable. I've been watching for years. Having classic Dr Who flashback.
Ooh, careful with those flashbacks, don’t pull a Weeping Angel episode! M
Welcome back! enjoyed the trip thank you for sharing🙂
Thanks for watching! M

Brilliant scenes

Thank you! Definitely still enjoying it, just need some of the other things to calm down a bit! M
YAY! So glad to see y'all again!

I was just thinking I haven't seen a vid from you folks in a while. It's nice to see you again.
It’s nice to be back! Hopefully more regularly in the future! M

A lovely surprise video, great to see you back. How’s the course going … enjoying it? I hope you surprise us a few more times with your lovely videos. Take care
The course is part of the plans that went askew… hopefully I’ll be in a better place to explain in a future video. M
Good to see you back on the cut.
Good to be back! M
Good to see you back
Thank you! M
It's been a minute since I've seen you guys, good to see you hope all is well. Because my brain is getting a little worn out with age I didn't pick up on where this is located. Beautiful area from the canal view, I will have to go back and listen closer to where it's located. :)
I looked up the lock, am I right to say this is in Cambridge?
It’s the Cambridge Backs, top end of the navigable portion of the River Cam. M
Thank you George for bringing your humans back to us !!!
Woof!! G
Nice to see you again! Jo, Michael and George ; I hope life is treating you well.?
As well as can be expected, given the “interesting times”! M
Welcome back for now!
I am glad I kept your channel on my list.
Good to see that - the usual workings of time not withstanding - you are still the same people you have always been! (Michael has to re-train his camera arm, definitely! 😅)

Thank you for such a kind comment. It feels good to upload again and get the boat moving. Hopefully more to come soon.
Good to see you both ,Michael you have lost a lot of weight, safe journeys xx.
Thank you! M

What a bunch of Punts, good to see you chaps.
Lots of punts, though nice punters! M
Great to see you hope you are both keeping well😊😊😊😊
Well enough, thank you!
Been a long while since I’ve seen the Hillbillies! Thanks! M

Happy to see you back 🤩
Thank you. We have missed it.
Welcome back you all look well
Thank you! M
I was at Cambridge in the 80's. It was so nice to see the backs from the river.
Glad to give you a new view of a very old town! M
Great to see you back 🎉🎉
Thank you! M
How very, very fine it is to see you back afloat! ❤ 🇨🇦 Robin & Trudy
Thank you! 😊M
Nice to see you back again!😀
Thanks! M
Those are beautiful gates.
They are! M
Glad yiou are back.
Thank you! M
Good to see you guys again, Michael have you lost some weight? looks good, stay well🙂
Not recently, the weight loss happened mostly in 21-22, but there’ve been relatively few videos since. M
Thanks for an interesting tour of the “backs”. Good to see you back.
Glad you enjoyed it! M
Glad to see you again
Thanks! M
Welcome back. We look forward to you coming back to Braunston - the beating heart of the canal network. Much has happened since you last cruised this area!
Hi Adrian, looking forward to seeing how much has changed! That said, not sure how soon we hit Braunston, haven’t decided on a route yet. M
Great to see you back you have been missed
Welcome back my friends
Thank you! M
Wow amazing to see you all again!
Glad you be back, in whatever measure that ends up meaning! M
Holy moley, I didn't hardly recognize you George! Looking great, as does Jo as always. Glad to see you both again and looking forward to new videos. (We're still a bit winter here in upstate NY, ugh, so some cruising videos are most welcome.)
Thank you! Hopefully more frequent videos in the future (though probably pretty unpredictable for a while)… hopefully your winter eases soon! M
Welcome back! 🥳 looked like a really unique stretch! We’d love to do it but not sure we’d fit under those bridges!
It’s not the easiest fit! M
Good to see you both back again on the canals. Look forward to more videos. ❤
Hopefully more sooner rather than later! Thanks for the patience! M
Good to see you, my darlings ❤❤❤
Thank you! M
Really missed you guys. Welcome back.
Thank you! M
😆 lovely to see you both
Oh and George of course
Thank you! Lovey to be back! M
What a treat, like many others, I've really missed your videos. You both look really well, thank you for sharing this scenic if somewhat stressful cruise, and so lovely to see George!
Thank you Lois.
We all miss their travels Lois 😀
You saying about the stress with the punts, to me it just like driving on the A17
It’s not dissimilar, albeit pleasantly slower and with much less disastrous accidents! M
hurrayyy.....
Hurray indeed! M
Thanks!
Thank you too! M
Good to see you all again from Aotearoa NZ. Seems an age what you all been upto.
Thank you! Glad you’re still watching from over there! Long story that I’m hoping I can tell in a video soon, though it’s not the easiest story to tell. Hopefully more soon. M
Will look forward to it when it pops up.😊
Good to see you both again. Plus George
Thank you! M
Nice trip🎉
Thanks! 😃
Yay, you are back!! 👍🎉And what a great video.
Thank you! M
Nice to see another video .
I shall live vicariously until next winter :-) . We planned to do it last week , but abandoned due to some mechanical issues. .
Explains why we saw Perseverance moored up though
It’s worth the effort, but better to do it without mechanical issues! Hopefully next year! M
Nice to see you again!
Thank you! M
Welcome back to the waters. May your video's be full of life and a fresh perspective of life on the waters. Any chance of going over to the continent? Love the videos.
Thank you! We’d love to do the continent, but tax issues post-Brexit have made that really, really hard! M
Good to have yall back🎉
How did the reno go? Did yall get it all the way done?
I don’t think you ever get a boat reno all the way done… we got it to the point it’s livable and comfortable, though there’s still a few little projects for this year and a few that are probably never going to get finished! M
Good to see you guys out and about. I didn’t realize you had Oklahoma ties….. I’m in the OKC/Moore area. Boomer Sooner!
Heh, yep, born in Altus, spent my very smallest years dodging tornadoes in a tiny little place called Headrick! M
My great grandfather ran in the land, run and staked his claim in Gould Oklahoma. We also spent many many years doing family reunions at Quartz Mountain Lodge. It’s a small world.
Welcome back, you have been missed
Thank you! M
Looks familiar. I went punting on the Cam in the mid 1980s while on a musical performance tour from the USA. .
Cambridge hasn’t really changed too much since the 1080s, but there’s a few more tourists around since your visit! M
