I'm not a Toyota expert nor do I own the plug in yet. But from what I understand the EV mode once your using your gas and using breaking to charge the battery will get you an extra up to 13 miles of no gas usage. The 1.5 to 3 hour charge will get you 90 miles which will vary with how you drive just like any other mpg Once you switch to gas you should get about 50mpg Check the toyota website youtube won't let me post links =/
So, I need a wee bit of clarification. We get 13 miles on Electric with one 3 hour charge. Is that correct? Is it going to be difficult to get 60 miles on one charge in the near future? As you know, the Volt does get 40-45 for its range when they promise 35. We are on our 2nd Prius and it is a 2007. We average 45-48 including highway. $3.75 gal. My neighbor with the Volt says he hardly buys gas any more. Long trips of course use fuel. Is there a big difference Prius/Lexus CT Hybrid? Thank you!
I love this car. I definitely want one!
