one of my favorite things about this song is she says "I don't want to live without you" while he says "I don't want to leave without you"
The reason why he says that is because Luke was really sick, and he didn't know if he was going to make it or not while Courtney was healthy. So he was saying he didn't want to die and go to heaven without his wife.
My heart hurts and heals at the same time when I hear this song. Also loved how someone shared that Lucas sang 'leave', boy 'live'

I cry almost every time I hear this. I remember seeing For King and Country in concert but Luke wasn't there. Joel at one point was telling everyone that Luke was really sick and he wasn't sure if he was going to make it. Joel was crying and it broke my heart. I'm so glad Luke made it stronger than ever. Oh wow. I didn't know he ever publicly acknowledged the possibility of Luke not making it. I had the pleasure of shaking Luke's hand soon after he returned to the band. Never would've guessed he had gotten that bad off! So glad he's doing better.

We have these family friends that I've known my entire life. It's my mom's best friend from high school's family. Almost a year ago, their 10 year old daughter was diagnosed with DIPG, a rare and aggressive brain tumor. She passed away 6 months later.
I dedicated this song to her and I will never be able to listen to it without thinking of her. Her passing hasn't changed the songs meaning at all and I'm thankful I have this beautiful song to remind me of that incredibly beautiful girl.
I miss you every single day, Ali. I miss your laugh, your positivity, creativity, and the brightness you carried with you. See you someday soon sweet girl.

I had Colitis, it started when I was 16 and I was told I would be lucky to live to 45. Im now 46 :) But God healed me when I was 33 although at the time I didn't realize it was God. He allowed me to be healed through what I ate and for the last 13 years I have felt like a real person without all the constant pain and sickness. Thanking God for my healing and also for my faith which I didn't really find until 8 years ago GOD IS GREAT ALL THE TIME

I turned this album on while doing my devotion and read my bible I have nt had a lot of time to read this week so I started to read and when this song came on I just started crying just because just I've felt fare from Christ lately and just I can't do it with out Him
I cry every time because i lost my dad last year when i was 11 and i felt like all of this, I lost him to luekimia :(
That's definitely heartbreaking. I lost my mom to pancreatic cancer at 13 and felt like the world was a black hole. Thank God for leading me out of it. I'm so grateful and indebted to Him. This song reminds me of it too.
Recently we lost our dog to diabetes, had her for 7 years haven't heard this song in forever. I try to stay happy for her.

I have lived with chronic pain and a mix of other effects for all of my life. I finally got a diagnosis a couple years ago in my freshman year of high school. A few days after my diagnosis this song played on shuffle from one of my playlists. One moment I was writing an essay and the next I was ugly sobbing. This song is so touching and one I can relate to. Ever since that day, it had never failed to make me cry. Even when I feel alone in my illness, this song reminds me that I'm not.
