    Instead of ripping, I would use pinking shears just to avoid all the loose string you have to deal with. I am going to try to make one as a top and one as a dress. I love it for summer and I love the fabric you chose.

      Thanks so much Kathleen! Normally I just use my scissors, but when it's just rectangles it's an easy way to keep the grain straight!
