    Southern Californians need to pay attention to cities/towns like Rancho los Pinos and Los Arbolitos in Mexico. They have a very similar topographical layout with rivers coming down from the mountains. I'm extremely worried about the threat of landslides, mudslides and massive flash flooding through those valleys. They're predicting possibly 15" of rainfall on those peaks, that's more than Socal gets in 6 months from Nov to Apr.
    If you're in a valley in Socal please monitor events in one of those locations as they will give you a good idea of whether you need to evacuate.

    The last was the Long Beach Hurricane of Sep. 1939. LA got 7 inches of water in some areas. Wish the homeless people well but the Mayor & LA City Council find their homes in the Pacific.

      Seriously; the Climate loonies will take this current hurricane & tie it to Global warming or change or whatever they think is the most impactful troupe. There was the San Diego hurricane of Oct. 1858 that wasn't well documented but did destroy crops. There was Hurricane Norman that hit LA in Sep. 1978 that caused a lot of damage. The climate is far more complex then the Cultists realize. So West Coast Hurricanes amounted to One in the 19th Century that we know of; two in the 20th Century 39 years apart; now we have 'Hillary', the first hurricane of the 21st Century. The Cultists haven't been able to Scientifically prove the causes of what could be changing the climate nor if it's cyclical or our doing for the last 50 years. Pathetic lot they are.

    How can it be "Unprecedented" if it's happened before? It won't be a hurricane but the time it reaches California. They are over hyping an event again. In So Cal it will rain and we'll get a news reporter doing a live update showing a car drive by splashing water onto the sidewalk. 🙄 There may be some concerns for the burn areas, but for the rest of us it will be business as usual.

    • @geechyguy3441
      @geechyguy3441 11 месяцев назад +1

      That's not really the case though man, the last time this happened was WW2, SoCal has had a huge population increase since then and much more infrastructure has been built. Keep in mind in 1939 the storm killed 100 people and devastated the area causing thousands of homes to flood and windows to break from the wind. Now imagine how bad this can get in our modern society where nobody in California has ever dealt with this before and SoCal is certainly not built to withstand storms of this magnitude. People are going to die this weekend.
