My headcanon is that when Henry was rebuilt, instead of being completely rebuilt as as a Black Five, he simply had the parts of a black five (namely the Boiler, Firebox, and Tender) integrated into his Gresley inspired design. He basically looks like that one photoshop done by the Unlucky Tug’s Thomas Debunked short on Henry’s Rebuild.
As a matter fact, I don’t even believe there were two Henry’s all because of the personality and memories that Henry has after his rebuild makes me think there is only one Henry I like to let you know the black 5s has their metal wheel a bit away from the back driving wheels and closer to the front driving wheels which that makes me think even if Henry was 4-6-2 they could probably just modify the driving chassis even removing the back trolling wheels not to mention Henry was meant to be expensive what if Topham had got the idea for the Workmans in crew selling some of Henry’s parts that weren’t supposed to stay before rebuilding him

I don't know what to say about this but I can highly confirmed yes he was rebuilt he got an overhaul of a new tank and boiler + a tender water budge rebuilt because if he was dead his new counterpart would be built in 1940 when the second world War had its first birthday, but then Henry was built in 1919 so Henry is actually 105 years old, so yeah I'm not preparing a giant three paragraphs this video since this theory is actually very dumb not to be rude, it was just an overhaul and he was wiped out when he was being taken to the works and rebuilt an overhaul. As the TTTE wiki says "Before his rebuild, Henry is a freelance design, combining aspects of the Black Five shape and his original shape in The Railway Series, as budgetary constraints prevented the crew from constructing two separate models for him. Changes made to Henry's model for his old shape include a tapered firebox, inside steam pipes and the topfeed being removed. Additionally, Henry originally lost his splashers following his rebuild, however these were later added back in the second series. Contrary to how his old shape was portrayed in The Railway Series, Henry does not have a sloped running board and is depicted as having always been a 4-6-0, while in the books he was originally a 4-6-2." and yes Henry is a former LNER owned engine that was an A1 and another LNER class hybrid but then got rebuilt into a Black Five.
@@SparklingJam this was before it shut down, then reopened. otherwise back then there was a mission where you had to find two pieces of a plan for old shape Henry. One behind the S7 knapford shed and another behind the stationmasters house at tidmouth. Sadly that mission is not longer in BTWF.
Well I don’t think I believe this theory of the two Henry’s theory my only believe that he was rebuilt into a stained black 5 like remove the parts of gner pacific and liner a1 pacific like giving him new parts form the stainer black 5 like removing the steaming problems like a mixed into two firebox’s I believe they remove it to replace a larger firebox form the stainer black 5s

the three strikes of the Reverend Wilbert Awdry
My take on Henry is an LBSCR H2 and later rebuilt into a Black 5
The only LNER Atlantic i see Henry as is an LNER C5
From LB&SCR to LMS, fascinating
I know this is kind of crazy like a part of me left behind they saved Henry’s face and slapped on a black five
that a lot to take in, but, they propably remove henry from his old shape and put in to a black 5
since his old body was badly dameged and beyond repair

Why do people potray his old shape as a 4-6-2
The fact that the A1 1915 Draft has a 4-6-2 wheel configuration, but in the books we see that Henry is 4-6-0, is confusing
