Great that you pronounced Yasuke properly. It's impressive that you know both the world history and that his name, once transliterated into Japanese, would be pronounced with a silent 'u'.
I liked Lockley and Girard's book, "African Samurai", which makes an effort to recover the real history of Yasuke, as best we can, centuries later. I'll admit I didn't make it to the end of the book before my attention got pulled elsewhere, but the parts I read through were fascinating enough.

Bro who said Africans didn’t go to Japan? Not only did they go to Japan, they also went to China, Indonesia and other areas in Asia AND also set up colonies in some areas of India… and what’s wild is so did the Chinese on the east coast of Africa, they also set up colonies and trade posts. You just never hear about it.

The same concept was done in AC Odyssey and Valhalla. I guarantee that is what Ubisoft wants to do for AC Shadows. These channels are doing nothing but exposing themselves about how they feel about certain people and narratives. They are simply toxic and untrustworthy.

So there IS speculation this could have been the case in history. We know that Oda Nobunaga was fascinated with Yasuke, and for Japanese noblemen to have physical relationships with their underlings was normal in the culture of the time. If Nobunaga had made advances on Yasuke, and Yasuke had accepted, it would fit the facts we know.
Ultimately, it's speculation. We don't have any written records to confirm it, and you can't prove a negative. So that is lost to history. But we shouldn't be quick to dismiss it. Really, we'll never know.

@SamBrownBaudot Nobunaga had a young retainer named Ranmaru Mori that died the same day he did. They might have been in a relationship, but I dunno how true that is. So Yasuke being queer isn't that farfetched either.

African people were and are still most definitely a seafaring sailing people. They make good sailors on diverse ships and have spread themselves around the world.

I'm afraid you're right. They feel entitled to certain people and cultures. Once other men get access into said place and culture they want to lie and slander the men for so called concern. Smdh
