My son wet the bed every night until he was 9 years old. We had been waiting for him to grow out of it, but when he didn't, we asked for a referral to our local children's hospital in order to make sure there was nothing wrong with his bladder. They confirmed there was nothing physically wrong with the bladder so then, because he was an extremely heavy sleeper (we thought this might be at the root of this problem -- he could sleep through anything) we decided to try a bedwetting alarm. We chose the Malem one. We threw a mattress on the floor of his room and my husband and I took turns sleeping there in order to get him up and get him moving when the alarm went off. Within something like 7 days, he stopped wetting the bed and never did it again. Mind you, we had altered his deep sleep pattern so he was rather grouchy for a little while because he wasn't getting that same deep sleep he used to until a few months later. I'm happy to say he's grown up now and has never had any problems since then. I'm not saying this would work for everyone, but it's an option if you think sometimes it's the deep sleeping that's an issue.
Thank you for your testimony. My son is 10 turning 11 and multiple wets the bed. The DR gave médecine to reduce the urine flow but it didn't work. We will try the alarm.
I'm having the same issue with my daughter...she doesn't wake up even after wetting the bed...your comment is a year old and I know this is a personal question but if you see this I would like to know if your son is waking up at night if he has to go to the toilet since you used this alarm???if this question is too personal I apologize
That technique worked for my eldest son when he was 6. But for my youngest (7 now), he just sleeps through the alarm completely oblivious. Been months…
@christineeleonorepoppe6745 my son is a young adult now and he never had the issue again after that little time with the alarm. But I know someone else whose son began sleeping through it. They were going to try to set up a baby monitor so they would be alerted by the alarm and go in and get him up. Not sure if they've tried that yet. It's not the best solution for the parents because it means getting up in the night but some might feel it's worth it to not have a wet bed to change every morning.
@hjcabc I dont mind the extra laundry because I see that it's bothering her a lot because she doesn't want to have sleepovers...it definitely isn't an easy task with her since I can barely wake her up at night but I'll try for a little while longer...if that doesn't work we'll go see a professional about it
I wet the bed till the age of 22; this was 25 years ago, and there was no information out there, obviously no Internet so I thought I was all alone, it was devastating tbh- it truly hurts your self esteem, you don’t want to imagine a future like this so things look so hopeless, very dark at times, no hope for romantic relationships, or a normal work/university/family life, so much shame, social anxiety, self hate. To everyone out there - this is a medical condition, please get help from a specialist and know you are not alone. You deserve the best care, and the best in life!
I guess this ran in my family but I am the longest lasting one, I don’t know what to do with myself even though nobody is my family gets upset with me they just expect me to clean up my messes. My dad always says he can smell it when he walks through the door and it’s embarrassing. I’ve struggled with this for 11 years but really I only started to get exhausted with it since 8 I believe. I am scared it will never stop and I won’t be able to do sleepovers or get in serious relationships when I’m older. This one issue had been tearing me to bits. Please look after yourselves and know you are wanted, don’t let things like bedwetting get in the way of doing the things you love! Things will change, things will improve, you just have to believe they will
I'm literally in the same problem. I always use the bathroom before I sleep but then my bed ends up wet. At some point I resorted to diapers but the diapers just got full.
I was embarrased and still am because im 12 and ive tried to stop...my grandma and aunt told me im not trying and it just makes me sad and im kinda happy there r people like me with the same problem at the same age

No need to be embarressed i started weeting my bed around 12,, i would at least once every 3 weeks pee my bed til I hit 19 years old. I'm now 34 I so once every two months. USE DEPENDS
Bro I’m the same I’m 12 and I’ve gone on three programs Bro it’s really annoying because you have to get up in the night but it’s not being able to sleep over at your friends house Good luck in the Future Double Trouble
I wet the bed a lot and it eventually slowed down tremendously and one of the last times was when I was about 49. Maybe once a year for the last 20 years was a good thing. I think a good tip I came up with is to, every time you go pee, pick a routine to do right before you pee while you in a conscience state of mind, your awake mind. Like count a particular amount of freckles on an arm with a certain amount of taps on your hand with a knuckle and squeeze your pinky. Counting say 6 visible freckles, tapping your hand 3 times with a certain finger and squeezing your pinky once every time you take a pee or anytime you go to the bathroom, it will make you mind aware that this is something you do while you are awake. I think it's something you can only do while you are awake and when you do this while you are awake and after you do that every time, then you allow your body to pee. I am pretty sure a slightly complicated routine like this will be impossible to try to do in your sleeping or dream or unconscious mind. In your dreams, you will be at a loss to even think about doing this routine or be able to find a the freckle pattern on your arm that is on your arm in real life and therefore your body will be conditioned to know that you can only pee after doing the routine and since you will be at a loss to even think about it in dream land or find the right freckles on your arm, you will not be able to do the right routine you normally do and your body will not allow you to pee in dream land because it hasn't been given the authority to do so because you have failed to carry out the roper routine. I hope that was clear and understood. Try it everyday and see if it works for you. A lot of times bed wetting is because you think your awake and you think you are at the toilet, but it's just a dream. So, if you can understand its a dream and that you are being tricked to think you are awake, this tip will help you trick your brain to knowing you are asleep even if you are not sure. If you don't allow yourself to pee until you do the routine and in your dream you find you are unable to do the routine, you will hold your pee until you are able to do this routine and you may wake yourself up also and save yourself from peeing in your sleep. Another tip on top of that is to keep a pee bottle in your room as it will stop you from hesitating to get up if you feel its a long distance to go to the bathroom. Good luck.
@Khushi Gupata i finally had my first month of bedwetting at age 35 and i feel so good about myself an just had to tell someone as i can't speak to anyone i know since they are all drybedders
i wet the bed almost everyday. my mom make me sleep o. a air mattress and make me wear diapers. we went to a child therapist to check up but they said nothing was wrong and most likely to be deep sleeping. My parents and i were encouraged to try an alarm for me to wake me up when i sleep. day one just started and in the morning i found a small spot of pee on my bed. I am also gonna try less water intake. will keep u updated if it helps me so i can help u. Thanks
My niece whom I am taking care is still bedwetting at the age of 10. We live in Namibia, meaning we cannot visit your clinic. What advice can you give me ?
I have 2 bedwetting kids and I feel guilty saying this but they make me hate my life. It is so hard to have 3 kids and have to deal with bedwetting every single night. I am so sad and angry and then I feel guilty for being angry. I would pay about anything for this issue to be resolved. We have tried alarms and liquid restrictions and nothing helps and our pediatrician just says to wait it out and put diapers on them. I am seriously disgusted with the medical community for not having a cure for this by now.
I feel the same way don't , my kid is 8 and it's annoying to , there is a pill that is supposed to help stop it or at least not so much I'm going to ask my son's psychiatrist about it and keep you updated
I wouldn’t hate my life over it .. they’re kids and imagine how God feels knowing that you hate a precious gift do to hard word!! It will get better. I rather have my kid here and deal with bed wetting than have them gone and a dry bed. Keep praying and believing. 🙏🏽 💦 😢😮
Your extreme. The child is probably wetting the bed bcuz you also contribute to their trauma. If you wanted kids, then you should be sensible enough to know anything is possible with them.
Have you tried socks and extra blankets? Some people simply have slower blood circulation which cause cold feet. And with cold feet you pee. Maybe place a hot water bottle at the foot of the bed before they get in.
I didn't know all this here. Came to see what to do about my 8 yr old grandson bed wetting. His mom dropped him off here almost a year ago. She didn't want him. He misses her & his 3 lil sister's.. But he wet the bed staying with her. Little man had a rough time with her meen husband's! Me & his dad has him now so he'll be loved & took care of. Now to watch the video. I read comments first👍💞
No, it needs to be looked into! I wet the bed for years as a child and it was a result of sexual abuse. NOBODY looked into it! I was always embarrassed and afraid to tell my parents I’d wet the bed and it wasn’t my fault. My parents should have seen it as a red flag and they should have intervened and stopped the abuse.
I used to have dreams for a few months, in dreams I was in the bathroom and used to urinate, but in reality I was on the bed and urine also used to pass on the bed itself. My wife was very upset due to this problem of mine. I feel very ashamed but no medicine was working for me Then my wife ordered Utrason syrup and Branacon syrup online for me My bedwetting was completely cured by this medicine, now even when I have dreams, I do not urinate on the bed.
My boys are 7 & 9 and have witnessed much domestic violence:( I dint know why they still pee the bed I feel horrible 😢 they are just trying to recover from the trauma
You ladies need to speak on the effects of trauma not just it being “normal” because it really isn’t normal rather scary! Because there’s more going on!!?
I am so sorry, bless you. Are you better these days or has it gotten better? I a so sorry, there is nothing wrong with you. It is the caregivers responsibility to help you ❤
What is bedwetting? Bedwetting is also called sleep enuresis. It is a parasomnia. A parasomnia involves undesired events that come along with sleep. Bedwetting occurs when a person urinates by accident in his or her sleep. It results from a failure to wake up from sleep when the bladder is full. It may also result from a failure to prevent a bladder contraction. These are skills that you acquire as you grow and develop. There is a wide range in the age at which these skills are gained. Urinating is a reflex for infants when they are asleep and awake. This occurs up to about 18 months of age. From 18 months to about three years of age, a child begins learning to delay urination when the bladder is full. First the child learns to do this while awake. At a later age, he learns to do this while asleep. The developmental maturity of the child will help determine the age at which this skill is gained. Most children should be able to control their bladders during sleep by the time they are about five years of age. Thus, bedwetting is not considered a sleep disorder unless it occurs at least twice a week in a person at least five years of age. Bedwetting can be primary or secondary. A child with primary bedwetting has never regularly stayed dry during sleep for six straight months. A child or adult with secondary bedwetting developed the ability to stay dry at night and has done so for at least 6 straight months. Then he or she began bedwetting again at least twice a week for at least three months. Generally secondary bedwetting is simply another parasomnia expressing. They may have had any one of several symptoms, such as: Bruxism, sleep walking, restless leg syndrome etc. Their sleep disorder is now expressing in a different manner. This is the reason parents are told “Don’t worry, they’ll outgrow it” They haven’t outgrown the parasomnia, it is still there only expressing in a different manner. The enuretic must be taught to sleep better or more normally. Proper guided training can achieve this, however it may take as long as 4-6 months by committed coaches following a prescribed program to correct the architecture of sleep. What to do when your 8 year old son still wets the bed as wet himself throughout the day. My husband was wetting the bed until he was 12. He says he doesn't remember why but was bullied his entire life. So when he was about 6 he got potty training at school and it took them at least 2 months to get him to be dry during day in school but as soon as he would get home in the house he would wet himself. Now he pee on himself on a daily , regular. He has a 3 year old brother and a 15 month old brother. He also has autism and i told his pediatrician but she wrote a prescription for incontinence products but it isn't solving the problem just putting a band aid on this situation..... Ugh why is so hard . We have tried just about everything !!!!! Where do we go from here ? Do you have anymore advice.....
Mere age 21 sal hai muze 5se 6 sal pahilese Bedwetting shuru ho gayi or mare ghar wale mere shadi ke bare mai soch rahe the is liye mai shadi se bohot jada dar rahi thi maine you tube pe comments padhakar utracon capsule or utracon syrup Amazon se mangavali 25-30 din mai aaram milne laga or 4 month mai bedwetting ki problem solve ho gayi isse mere dil ko rahat mili or ab mai happy bhi hu
This is embarrassing to admit, but it’s something I’ve never understood. I was never really a bedwetter as a child, but for some reason it seemed like once every few years I would wet the bed. I remember it happening in 5th grade, 8th grade, and even once in high school. Why would that have happened?
Meri chhoti sister ka problem tha bed wetting ka roz rat ko bister gila kr deti thi hm bhi pareshan hogaye the hmne uski bohot jaga treatment bhi karayi thi or usse koi fayada nhi mila tha ek din youtube pe hi kisike comments padhe the utracon syrup and branacone syrup k bare me to maine oo bhi meri sis ko diaa amazone se mangvaya tha maine ab isse oo bilkul thik hogayi hai kafi tratment k baad is syrup se bohot achha result mila ab meri sis ne ek bhi bar bister gila nhi kiya or ye ayurvedic bhi hai best hai [
i finally had my first month of bedwetting at age 35 and i feel so good about myself an just had to tell someone as i can't speak to anyone i know since they are all drybedders and don't understand the struggles
I’m 10 and I wanna stop I can’t like it’s annoying my parents yell at me everyday I can’t I went to the doctors and got medicine it didn’t work I went to the doctors again and got medicine it didn’t work I can’t do anything that work I’m scared when I grow and go to college I’m going to wet my bed and my roommate is going to hate me
Bed wedding comes from your brain not getting the signal that your bladder is full while you're sleeping. It's developmental ,so when your brain develops that part of it, it'll let your body know your bladder is full and it needs to wake up to use the bathroom. I suggest using a blow up mattress. if you use a regular mattress itll get urinated on alot, you'll have to throw it away, buy a new one and mattresses are expensive. As well as the disposible pads and washable pads. Which id still use the washable pads. Not the plastic mattress protector bc they never work.
I think any problem like producing large amounts of urine at night along with security issues will always equal bed-wetting. Is low dose imepramine still used? It can cause lasting anxieties after the enuresis stops. I'm not a doctor but seen this enough, had the issue myself and bothered to talk to enough children and look at their situation at home. Kids are not so lazy they piss themselves at night. Any parent suggesting that should be whipped...
Hi, thank you for video. My child is 8 years old and he wets the bed 2/3 times a night. What should be the plan of action? Can a urologist help or a Peads urologist specifically?
I so sometimes pee the bed, but I'm 9! How do I stop, everytime I go to sleep straight away I pee the bed, but when I stay awake all night I don't but I'm always tired help!! 😭
I'm almost 14 it's not fun and i know your feeling everyone says it will stop at one point and it probably will but when is that point i don't know. Well i hope better luck for you.
Avoid sugary drinks and food and Stop drinking by four or five pm and wake up to use the toilet at 3am 6am it worked for me for five weeks then I got the habit of drinking hot chocolate
Im 13 bur i stopped at 11 like it was rare like a couple times i did and its been a few situation where i might go to sleep on a full bladder having to pee bad but be to lazy wake up wetting bed
A disclaimer out there: While I have taken an interest in this, and have helped some online, I am not a medical expert. Too bad there isn't a forum out there . The one they did have got knocked down along with all the other forums they had a while back. Goodnites used to have one but they shut the kids side down years ago, and then the adult side because the kids were going there. The problem? Naughty posts. A few note here. Bedwetting is not your fault, no matter why it's happening. Parents have to understand that kids can't help it. And yes, as someone stated, there is often a genetic component to it. I would say from the age of 10 or 11 on, kids should start managing this. Their parents will of course have to buy the protection, but making sure that the mattress is protected and changing, even washing your pajamas and bedding is something that you can do. If you wake up in the night having wet your bed, go immediately to the bathroom and go to the bathroom. Yes, your bladder is empty, but go through everything that you would do if it were the middle of the day and you had to go. Everything with your clothes (not to get too graphic) standing at, or sitting on the toilet for a minute or two, dealing with your clothes again and washing your hands. Hopefully this will help train your brain to wake you up before you pee. I heard someone here saying that the parents were yelling at them for almost an hour. it sounds like you need to talk to someone. Perhaps there is a counselor at your school, or a youth group leader or someone like that. There was someone stating that they want to kill themselves if it keeps on going. That is not a good way to solve a problem For those of you who are in the early teens and on, if products like Goodnites are not working for you anymore, it's because you are putting out more urine than they can hold. This is when you need to go to ATN (all through the night) diapers, and you won't find them anywhere but online. For those of you who are have gotten up past the mid teens into the late teens and are still wetting, if you haven't you need to talk to your doctor. There may be a medical reason for the wetting. One to mention is sleep disorders.
Avoid sugary drinks and food and Stop drinking by four or five pm and wake up to use the toilet at 3am 6am it worked for me for five weeks then I got the habit of drinking hot chocolate Im (11)
I'm 35 and still wet the bed often its embarrassing to say but i wear adult diapers to bed, i used to have plastic on my bed but when i have lady friends over i don't like having to lie about why i have plastic over my mattress and i keep insents burning in room to keep the urine smell down, im a grown man who keep diapers hidden in my closet cuz i don't want anyone to see them and ask why i have them, i try to wake myself every half hour to go pee but sometimes i just don't make it, when i have a lady stay the night or stay with her i try and stay up all night so i want pee and she know cuz i don't wanna wear diapers around them, what can i do to stop this
Good quality sleep that leaves you feeling rested and energetic is vital to overall health. “Good quality” means getting enough restful sleep at the right times. Though doctors do not fully understand sleep, they do know it impacts: How the brain works How the body repairs and restores itself Without enough sleep, a person has trouble learning, concentrating, and forming new memories. Physically, sleep affects the entire body, including the immune system, heart rate, blood pressure, metabolism, energy levels, hunger, and mood. So many of these well intended experts don't understand that Nocturnal Enuresis is a "SLEEP DISORDER" !!! If you are a Health Care Worker interviewing the parents, one of the first questions to ask: Is your child a deep sleeper??” In 90% of the cases the answer will be in the affirmative.
There are 4 stages of sleep, delta or slow wave sleep is the deepest and we only spend 13 - 23 % in Delta if we are sleeping normally. We will have 2 episodes of deep sleep with a 20 minute duration each time. Enuretics may spend several hours in Delta. REM Sleep is the dream stage of sleep and is between stage 1 & 2 ( Alpha - Beta) we attain that usually 90 minutes after falling asleep. REM is where we get our emotional rest. Delta is the physically restorative. It should be noted on the sleep chart that a rapid REM rise (red line) is not long enough to fully awaken the enuretic. They may experience a dream they are in the bathroom and void. Stanford University's William Dement, MD, PhD, who many refer to as the “father of sleep medicine.” Identified many of the common "Sleep Disorders" back in the mid '80s: Sleep disorders: Nocturnal enuresis Bruxism Central Sleep Apnea Circadian Rhythm Hypersomnia Narcolepsy Night Terrors Obstructive Sleep Apnea REM Sleep Behavior Disorder Sleepwalking Sleep-Related Breathing Disorders Sleep-Related Movement Disorder Sleep Paralysis. National Geographic, Dec. 1987 featured William Dement in an article Called “What’s this thing called sleep”. Can bedwetting be inherited ?? NO! but a sleep disorder most definitely can be.. The enuretic child or adult is basically unconscious and can't respond to the signal from the bladder to the brain. It also means they can't hear an alarm. So many myths surround this topic and have been this way for decades. Don’t worry your child will probably outgrow it. He/she may outgrow the symptom, but not he problem. Enuresis may now stop and the child will develop Night terrors, bruxism, sleepwalking, sleep apnea because the sleep disorder is still there. The issue is a SLEEP DISORDER !! and needs to be properly corrected. Small bladder syndrome ?? Many enuretics have excellent daytime control. they can't have a large bladder in the daytime and a small bladder a night. When the child or adult is unconscious the upper sphincter muscle relaxes and they void. They may experience a rapid REM rise that only lasts between 15-90 seconds, not long enough to attain wakefulness. Restrict fluids before bedtime, Yeah! Right! Don't have them respond to a full bladder signal.
Parents are told by their Doctor, set an alarm clock to get the child up and take them to the bathroom is a grave mistake! They aren't awake and when you drag them to the bathroom like a sack of potatoes, you are teaching them to urinate in their sleep. Exactly what you don't want them to do. Star charts: A star chart in many cases becomes a record of failure further impacting the child's self esteem and sense of self worth. DRUGS ?? No medication has been convincingly shown to cure bedwetting. The most common medications used to manage bedwetting are, Imipramine (Tofranil), oxybutynin chloride (Ditropan), and desmopressin (DDAVP). IMIPRAMINE Imipramine (Tofranil) is probably the most commonly used drug. Imipramine is an antidepressant used to treat mood disorders. One of the side effects of this drug is to decrease the frequency and intensity of bladder contractions. It also tends to lighten the time spent in deep sleep. It has been used with reasonable success to temporarily suppress bedwetting. Success rates in 50% range have been reported. But the relapse rate approaches 100%. Some authors note that the relapse wetting is sometime worse than that experienced pretreatment. Side effect WARNING Imipramine is a powerful drug and any child on it must be carefully monitored for side effects. Side effects are reported in up to 40% of the children taking it. Mood changes, behavior changes, insomnia, hallucination are all seen. Imipramine is toxic and can produce cardiac problems, although normally at doses higher than used for bedwetting. The Food and Drug Administration reports that imipramine is involved in about 1,000 children being taken to emergency rooms each year. They estimate that it is involved in the deaths of 10 children a year. Ditropan Side effects: *Bladder pain *blistering, crusting, irritation, itching, or reddening of the skin *bloody or cloudy urine *burning, skin rash, swelling, soreness, redness, pain, itching, or irritation at the application site *cracked, dry, or scaly skin *difficult, burning, or painful urination *frequent urge to urinate *lower back or side pain *unusually warm skin *Diarrhea *loss of appetite *nausea *stomach pain DDAVP Side Effects: • Confusion • convulsions • decreased urine output • dizziness • fast or irregular heartbeat • headache • increased thirst • muscle pain or cramps • nausea or vomiting • shortness of breath • swelling of the face, ankles, or hands • unusual tiredness or weakness. BEDWETTING ALARMS: Bedwetting alarms, when used in a comprehensive training program can be a useful tool. When they are used to awaken the parent or guardian so they can respond and aid the Enurectic in a prescribed training program they have been 98% effective. The child or adult must attain at least 30 days of dryness before discontinuing the alarm. It can take 3 - 4 months to achieve that. Alarm systems on their own will not achieve this. A dual alarm system (For parent & child) following a proper program can be most effective. One of the best programs currently available is: www.nobedwetting.com
I wet the bed last night. My mom makes me wear rubber underwear and sleep on a Winnie the Pooh plastic mattress cover! I wet the bed every night!! I have to wash my sheets too! She makes me wear diapers too. I have no bladder control and I'm always having accidents! It's so embarrassing! I have to go to the bathroom a lot when I hear the sound of water too. 😳

ruclips.net/video/MSosUspE1RM/видео.html Bottom Wetting Problem in Children Bed-wetting - also called nighttime incontinence or nocturnal enuresis - is involuntary urination while asleep after the age at which staying dry at night can be reasonably expected. Soggy sheets and pajamas - and an embarrassed child - are a familiar scene in many homes. But don't despair. Bed-wetting isn't a sign of toilet training gone bad. It's often just a normal part of a child's development.

Try these things before going to clinic. 1) Double voiding 2) Urinate after 2-4 hours by waking up child (this is temporary) 3) Create a chart with 30 blocks, 1 start for 1 dry night and arrange rewards for 10,20,30 etc... stars
How do rewards make any difference? It's not like they are doing it on purpose. They are not even aware when they wet. They just wake to a wet bed after it's too late.
This woman clearly has no idea what she's talking about. She fails to mention the main cause for bed wetting. The urge to urinate is not triggering the brain to wake up. This is compounded by a tendency to sleep too soundly. Bottom line for the majority of bed wetters is they have no idea when they are wetting. They simply wake up to a wet bed after it's too late. She says nothing about this leading me to believe she's no expert.

I'm the same my parents say just don't think about it but I can't stop worrying I have been to 13 doctors and I'm 10 after I watched this video is knew it was not that normal so I got more sad and I can't stay at friends house when they have a sleep over they think I'm weird because I don't go
Self esteem issues? This woman has no idea what she's talking about. What needs to be made clear that she didn't is that most bed wetters are not aware that they are doing so. They simply pee while asleep and wake up after it's too late. The message sent to the brain to hold it while sleeping is not working. Compounding the problem is a sensitive bladder and a tendency to sleep too soundly which was exactly the reason I wet the bed up to age 14. I never had self esteem issues... the problem was strictly physical. so it is in most cases.
She means that because of bed wetting children feel ashamed and self conscience because of their problem...obviously it is physical. The physical issue causes emotional distress.
What you say is true. but that is not true for all others. Some people just end up wetting their beds until an older age. Sometimes it can be brought on by stress or trauma. Among these issues are bullying at school, and I mean bad, and a lot of it. Family problems with parents not getting along (possible spousal abuse (one parent abusing the other)) or constant fighting. I've heard of one situation very similar to yours in which it turns out that a teen boy was diagnosed with a sleep disorder where he went into deep sleep and stayed there all night. Deep sleep is a stage of sleep where the thinking, or conscious part of your brain goes to sleep. This is a very normal part of sleep and is absolutely needed by the brain. But also it is the part of your brain where you learn, and control all that you do voluntarily with your body. Things like walking, talking running, and even the control you have over your bladder once you have learned to control it. One of the thoughts I've heard of is kids not having developed the ability to wake themselves up when needing to go. Bedwetting is NOT the child's fault and they should not be getting punished for it. It's not about being lazy. You've seen it here with comments from kids who say they hate waking up wet.
My ex boyfriend parents pretty much got mad inviting me over. For not cleaning up his mess or his room. Worse thing when I used to hang out with him. He did this in public in front of me wet himself right in front of me in public. Also I was child I was 4 years old I had wetting bed probably. Then when I got older It got better.

This is exactly what I was thinking about it's sad really ;(
Prayers and healing to all dealing with this.

Good luck.
@Parag Kumar
I can't figure out what you said. I tried the google translator, but it didn't work. Thanks though.

My parents and i were encouraged to try an alarm for me to wake me up when i sleep. day one just started and in the morning i found a small spot of pee on my bed. I am also gonna try less water intake. will keep u updated if it helps me so i can help u. Thanks

I've had issues for years and I still have problems although not as much. Mattress protectors are good.
PARENTS: NEVER PUNISH YOUR BEDWETTING CHILDREN!!! It just makes them into depressed adults with self doubt issues, like me.
My boys are 7 & 9 and have witnessed much domestic violence:(
I dint know why they still pee the bed I feel horrible 😢 they are just trying to recover from the trauma
You ladies need to speak on the effects of trauma not just it being “normal” because it really isn’t normal rather scary! Because there’s more going on!!?

They may have had any one of several symptoms, such as:
Bruxism, sleep walking, restless leg syndrome etc.
For more information contact: drynights@consultant.com

This is embarrassing to admit, but it’s something I’ve never understood. I was never really a bedwetter as a child, but for some reason it seemed like once every few years I would wet the bed. I remember it happening in 5th grade, 8th grade, and even once in high school. Why would that have happened?
Over the years I have had bedwetting issues off and on due to hydrocephalus caused by a stroke in infancy and having a shunt implanted.

You must set clock for every three hours.

That is not a good way to solve a problem
For those of you who are in the early teens and on, if products like Goodnites are not working for you anymore, it's because you are putting out more urine than they can hold.
Surprised more people haven’t seen this. Thanks man

It only affects self esteem if the parent or caretakers shame the child for it. If you treat the child as normal then theyre nor ashamed of it.

Good quality sleep that leaves you feeling rested and energetic is vital to overall health. “Good quality” means getting enough restful sleep at the right times. Though doctors do not fully understand sleep, they do know it impacts:
How the brain works
How the body repairs and restores itself
Without enough sleep, a person has trouble learning, concentrating, and forming new memories.

Many enuretics have excellent daytime control. they can't have a large bladder in the
daytime and a small bladder a night. When the child or adult is unconscious the upper
sphincter muscle relaxes and they void.
IMIPRAMINE
Imipramine (Tofranil) is probably the most commonly used drug. But the relapse rate
approaches 100%. Some authors note that the relapse wetting is sometime worse than that experienced pretreatment.
Side effect WARNING
Imipramine is a powerful drug and any child on it must be carefully monitored for side effects.
Ditropan Side effects:
*Bladder pain *blistering, crusting, irritation, itching, or reddening of the skin *bloody or cloudy urine *burning, skin rash, swelling, soreness, redness, pain,
itching, or irritation at the application site *cracked, dry, or scaly skin *difficult, burning, or painful urination *frequent urge to urinate *lower back or side pain *unusually warm skin *Diarrhea *loss of appetite *nausea *stomach pain
DDAVP Side Effects:
• Confusion • convulsions • decreased urine output • dizziness • fast or irregular heartbeat • headache • increased thirst • muscle pain or cramps • nausea or vomiting • shortness of breath • swelling of the face, ankles, or hands • unusual tiredness or weakness.
BEDWETTING ALARMS:
Bedwetting alarms, when used in a comprehensive training program can be a useful tool. A dual alarm system
(For parent & child) following a proper program can be most effective.

Bottom Wetting Problem in Children
Bed-wetting - also called nighttime incontinence or nocturnal enuresis - is involuntary urination while asleep after the age at which staying dry at night can be reasonably expected.
Soggy sheets and pajamas - and an embarrassed child - are a familiar scene in many homes. But don't despair. Bed-wetting isn't a sign of toilet training gone bad. It's often just a normal part of a child's development.
My child wet the bed only at our own home. No longer when she visits else where. Why would that be?
Mam i have a child he is 9 i do every thing but nothings works i m so worried abt him wt can i do for him as is losing interest in going for summer camps and any other place which is out of comfort for gim plz help

Wake them up around 1 or 2 am to use the restroom 🚽
Try these things before going to clinic.
1) Double voiding
2) Urinate after 2-4 hours by waking up child (this is temporary)
3) Create a chart with 30 blocks, 1 start for 1 dry night and arrange rewards for 10,20,30 etc... stars
How do rewards make any difference? It's not like they are doing it on purpose. They are not even aware when they wet. They just wake to a wet bed after it's too late.
I did all that and my daughter still wet the bed

This woman clearly has no idea what she's talking about. She fails to mention the main cause for bed wetting. The urge to urinate is not triggering the brain to wake up. This is compounded by a tendency to sleep too soundly. Bottom line for the majority of bed wetters is they have no idea when they are wetting. They simply wake up to a wet bed after it's too late. She says nothing about this leading me to believe she's no expert.
What happens at your 8
This video was uninformative they just did a bunch of yapping and it was a complete waste of time to watch 🤦♀️

How ironic is it that water simultaneously eases constipation and causes urine haha

Just because it wasn’t true for you doesn’t mean it isn’t true for others.

Hey I know this is an old comment but what is your condition? I have one to
My ex boyfriend parents pretty much got mad inviting me over. For not cleaning up his mess or his room. Worse thing when I used to hang out with him. He did this in public in front of me wet himself right in front of me in public. Also I was child I was 4 years old I had wetting bed probably. Then when I got older It got better.
The advice given here is literally what I was told not to do. SMH
