I have a apple tree I plant it from seed it is very skinny it is growing very well but I don't know how long it going to bear but what I noticed the leave are drying you have a lot of different varieties but do they any fruit I notice the trunk of your tree or white did you paint them
Please I really need your expert advice here. I have nursed some apple seedlings for the purpose of grafting more wambugu which I bought and doing well on my land. I want to know if my apple will fruit if I graft with wambugu because I saw people saying one need M-9 rootstock to graft wambugu apples
@@JobsDarko Yes it will bear fruit, if grafted on seedling rootstock. However, M9 is more precocious (will fruit more early with in 3 years.) Fortunately, Seedling rootstocks are long lived trees ( 100 years) and are adaptable to most soils and climates.
@@MaluseedGrowers Okay so if I got you right, it's okay to graft on seedling rootstock. My seedlings are just one month old so at what age can it be use to graft?
Thank you for the advice, I will take care of my seedlings until they reach pencil size, I will keep you update Sir. Also to clear more doubt someone also said " If you planted them from seed they will be weak plants, and that they will be prone to disease" Is this true?, Because I learnt grafting rather makes plant to resist diseases

@@MaluseedGrowers appreciate you!
Do you have any videos of a harvest how well do the trees produce fruit in Jamaica?
@@Joshua5654 Not as yet. This is a ongoing project and once that milestone is reached, the public will be made aware 👍.
@@MaluseedGrowers ok I will for sure continue to follow the journey keep up the work your already doing what’s not done here
@MaluseedGrowers .. I think a cold room will do the job perfectly ? A trailer back with air condition
Do you know how to purchase the wambugu seedling?
check with @Ambassadorkate
Do you ever prune them so to allow them to spread out?
only when necessary
Do you have trees for sale

@@JobsDarko Yes you can graft on Seedling rootstocks, but I would graft on them when their stems are pencil size diameter.
