I’m getting market projections from some of the manufacturers and they are saying the low prices aren’t here to stay! Materials and geopolitical issues will most likely cause prices to rise soon. Appreciate you stopping by!
Yes CyclenBatt has managed to keep an affordable price point! Many brands raise their prices after an upgrade. Yes you are right I see that they also have a very good Amazon reputation especially compared to other brands. Thanks for stopping in to watch and comment!
I'm happy to see your update after watching your first video a few moments ago since I already bought four to get me through the cold winter living off grid.
Nice review and seeing that Cyclenbatt has programmed the BMS correctly. I have three of these batteries and have been using them since September. All three appear to balance out together when I check each battery individually. I have room for one more battery since I don't have room for more. I am thinking on a 24 volt solar set up since I would not have to worry about changing out any wiring or charge controllers, just the inverter.
Glad to see the improvement as well! I have no complaints with my other CyclenBatt minis(4 of them old style without LTP) what surprised me most is the Low Temp unit delivered same capacity as a battery made several months ago! This speaks volumes for consistency with the brand. I really liked that! 24V setup would work well and be a few percentage points more efficient overall than 12V. I just like the huge assortment of components available for 12V due to marine and rv industries influence on the market!
@@THEOFFGRIDMOUNTAINHOMESTEAD There is an assortment for 24 volts components as well but there is always the buck boost 24v step down to 12v and tie it into the existing system. That reminds me of the one I have. I can take a 100 watt solar panel and connect it a 12v Lifepo4 battery and it will charge it at 14.5 volts. It won't overcharge the battery whatsoever. There are people who have taken the same buck boost to charge their Lifepo4 battery from a lead acid one. I'm the type that looks for alternative options without having to pay big bucks.
I’m not sure if it matters but I just clicked on the CycleNbatt store link from amozon and those pics for the 12.8-100ah minis do NOT have the “low temp protection” on those batteries. They might be dumping their original minis cheap. Just an fyi and love your show!
I see the stock images don’t match the case decals! (Assuming they didn’t update the images?) I have some coming in this week from Amazon. Hope they are low temp version! I’ll update when they arrive! The picture slides on the product page do have the low temp claim, this is different from the last ones I bought back in the summer. Only had a low temp claim in the text section of the description. Appreciate you! 👍
@@THEOFFGRIDMOUNTAINHOMESTEAD after I saw your video I went and checked the 3 batteries I installed in my RV and made sure they all said “low temperature protection” on the side of them. They did so I was relieved. 😅
Good! December 6 delivery date for mine! Be good to see if everyone is getting the same product! (Low temp not of vital importance for my application but still want to receive what I pay for lol)
The case says 100A now! I didn’t cut the low temp sample open due to not wanting to risk possible damage. They have to be sawed open. I’m using the test sample here, ruclips.net/video/3niAJWKofwE/видео.htmlsi=JTnGbDiM2pquk9Ra hence I needed it pristine condition!
@ Gotcha! I remember the one you opened up that failed the low temp test but had a 150 amp BMS, which was impressive! I’ve got 3 of the low temps and was hoping they still had the 150 BMS. Anyway, thanks for all the info, keep ‘em coming and Merry Christmas!
hi i have 12v 100ah power queen battery can i use the power queen 12v 40a dc to dc charger to charge my Dabbsson Portable Power Station DBS1300, 1330Wh Solar Generator thanks.
You should be able to connect the battery directly to the PV input. I’m not sure about the Dabbson but most power stations charge on PV input at 8-10amps. This would net you around 120W input. Hope this helps!
Thanks for your help My power station except dc solar 12v to 60v 14amp i like to speed the charging to my power station using the power Queen dc to dc charger is that ok.
12V Dc charger will only charge 12V batteries! It can supply 40A @12V. Your power station is limited to 14A on the MPPT so 14A X 12V would only provide 168W. If you need a speed charger look up Etaker F100 DC booster. Hope this helps!
Good to hear that inexpensive batteries are still bringing in the bells and whistles

Wow can’t believe how low the prices are on these batteries thanks for the update video
Crazy low prices! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Good value with the low temp I see it’s 4.9 star on amazon too

Glad you enjoyed! Awesome you got 4 hopefully you caught the sales prices! 👍
Thanks for your honest review. They have made it right and it is definitely has what it claims.
Yes definitely glad to see them listening to feedback and improving!
Thanks for the update

We're all moving to 48V, but these minis are cool!
12V is still very popular with many users! Thanks for watching and commenting!

Do these updated minis still have the 150 amp BMS or did the low temp protection improvements change that ?
