The Girl I Left In Ipanema is the third single from my upcoming album, Fractured Fiddle Tunes.
The Girl I Left In Ipanema is a reharmonized version of an old public domain song (The Gir I Left Behind Me) put to a pseudo-Brazilian groove.
The arrangement features a beautiful acoustic guitar solo by Ron Getz. The rest of the ensemble includes Kevin Gills on upright bass, Joe Wilson on dobro, Will Harris on percussion, and myself on mandolin.
Is there a bluegrass-adjacent genre called grass-a-nova?
I'm just sayin'.
