You mentioned in the last Falling In Reverse that they were a "new band" but they've been around since the early 2000's. They've evolved a lot. When you get a chance you should check out a lot of their stuff. Glad you enjoyed it. Ronnie is his own genre. When a FIR song drops you never know what to expect.

The guy getting hit by a laptop is supposed to be Sebastian Bach (ex-Skid Row) who tried to diss Ronnie for using laptops and didn't understand that a modern show, especially with many hip hop beats doesn't work without them. Tom and Ronnie are the same height. And they are buddies. Tom promised to do a collaboration before either of them retire. They were almost touring together in 2019 (that's how I found Tom) but had to cancel because of a personal tragedy in Falling in Reverse. Ronnie considers himself a rapper and a singer btw. The background for this song is that he's a superhero that saves the world from a nuclear bomb, but then everyone basically doesn't care about that because they are so caught up in their phones, tablets, laptops and social media etc, so he decides to turn it around kill everyone and burn the world.

This song has everything. Polka is hard to incorporate into other genres but he did it so well. I loved the jazz breakdown, and the swing? Don't even get me started. How did he transition so cleanly into BOTH of them? On top of it all, I haven't heard a bassoon go that hard since the Telemann Sonata in the early to mid 1700's. Everything. Is. Here. Not one instrument or style has been overlooked.

Non serve cercare di inserire una canzone specifica in una categoria, se si conosce il cambiamento di stile al quale si è approcciato il gruppo. C’è un crescendo da manuale, ci sono fasi scandite dai differenti stili di musica, c’è il sipario di breakdawn che fa impallidire chi fa metal core da sempre…per me c’è soltanto da imparare.
