7010 thru 7060 were excellent tractors. Especially durable transmission and rear end. Too bad Allis Chalmers went out of business. AGCO needs to support the dealers better because no dealers in an area means low resale on these tractors which means they will more likely be scrapped rather than repaired when a major Robles does occur. They are disappearing from my area fast due to dealers disappearing.

all these features and yet they went bankrupt. Now we have Kubota, Manhydra, Kyoti, Fendt, Samei, Yanmar, Vario

Allis Chalmers didn't go bankrupt because of product, they went under because of corporate greed and the us gov

Our neighbor had a 7060 that had to be the worst tractor ever, even more so than a Ford 6000. No one ever figured out why but the engine would never stay together more than 200 hours at a time. One issue after the next, first rings, then sleeves, then pistons and sleeves, then a crank. The window in the block was the last straw. Two different dealers and they both shook their heads and shrugged their shoulders. The only thing ever on his farm orange after that you could peel and eat. Never saw any others of this series like that unless people just abused them and turned the pump up into oblivion. Few things survive that kind of treatment for very long and this just was not the case. Someone once mentioned irratic core shift in the block.

thegreenerthemeaner Our neighbor still runs a 7060 and the motor has been out a dozen times. I can remember one year it sat in the field right next to the highway with a hole in the block, it seems like every other year they finish up with an old 190 Because the 7060 took a dump, what a nightmare...

Had a 7060 for years and a guy down the road bought it and still farms with it. Was a power shift dad over hauled it at 8xxx hours and still going
