    Nice video. If the motor goes bad, can you replace it with any generic motor?

    • @cooltank83-UK
      @cooltank83-UK  24 дня назад +1

      @@ebinom8112 If you take good care of it, it should last a long time. However, in the worst-case scenario, if it breaks, buying a new one might be the best option. Just my opinion, though.

    Does it have to be deep under water or slightly obove??

    • @cooltank83-UK
      @cooltank83-UK  2 года назад +2

      Can do both, if you setup Deep underwar then not less noise and not much serface agitation but if you put slightly above then you get much better serface agitation🤗👍 so choose is yours, my personal preference is slightly above coz it also give little bit of natural water sound which is nice and relaxing 👍

    when changing the biomedia do you just add new to existing or change them out completely?

    • @cooltank83-UK
      @cooltank83-UK  2 года назад +2

      It's always best to keep the old one untill your tank is fully stable but some point you need to change it..... So my advice is, if you changing the bio completely then avoid changing water or gravel cleaning on that week.... If not just rinse and re use it..... Hope this will help 👍

      The noise maybe the way you placed the filter, if you placed it half in and half out then, bit of noise will be there due to the motor but if you place it underwater then no noise will come

    • @cooltank83-UK
      @cooltank83-UK  2 года назад +1

      But still can't be that much of notice..... If you hearing loud noise then the filter itself faulty..... Hope this will help..... 👍

    I don't ever exchange my pads. Just clean them weekly in aquarium water and put back.

    How often do you clean the filter? You mentioned changing the foam pads and carbon pads once a month? What about the biomax? Also this was very informative, thank you 😊

    • @cooltank83-UK

      Ya regarding the filter cleaning I do ones every 2 weeks but it's depend on what fish you got and how much waste they produce.... But in my case I clean ones every 2 weeks. Regarding carbon pad recommended to change ones a month but I change it every 2 months. When it's come to biomax that's last forever..... I mean, I change it after 6 or 8 months. Hope I answered your question 👍😊
