From the beginning, I always felt that Ridge married Taylor out of obligation. He "played" the role of husband, but did not have deep feelings for her. Sure, he was attracted to her and found stability in her. But after Caroline died, it was Brooke for him hands down. When he first married Taylor, he did it because his father was still in love with Brooke and he didn't want to "take away" Brooke from his father. So, he indulged himself with Taylor to distract himself from Brooke. As for Taylor, he was an unstable, unreliable risk. He was always roving his eyes toward Brooke, even while married. Then, the second Taylor was gone (or presumed dead), he married Brooke. When she returned, he went back to her out of guilt and obligation. It's like he had no reason to leave her, but then his true feelings came out after Taylor confessed her infidelity. In other words, he found his perfect "out."

I still can't get how Bell allows Taylor and Steffy to get away with so much mess. Steffy has done worse then Brooke and if she slept with an entire football team Finn would stay with her wicked behind. And Taylor was found several times in different men's beds and always gave excuses to Ridge and he believed all of the lies. He deserved to have her commit adultery on his behind when Brooke up to this point had never ever cheated with him messing around and for the so called later kiss Bill forced that on her like Hope did w/Finn but it was ignored and portrayed differently and she really though Oliver was Ridge since he was dressed up like Ridge. But Taylor knew what her behind was doing.
Actually, I feel sorry for Taylor. It happened just once and they thought they would die. It would be difficult for me, but I would eventually forgive her. Especially if their relationship was on&off and t happened years before.
He forgave her one time with James, but not her hypocritical condemnation of Brooke.

Ridge had no right to be so mad at Taylor. As if he were a saint. He left her for Brooke every time and he cheated on her with Morgan. But Taylor wasn't the innocent one either, always commented on brooke but now does the exact same thing.

Oh please Ridge jumped back and forth between Taylor and Brooke so many times I lost count. Why those women fought for him I have no idea. Both felt like they had to be perfect or they would lose him so I think it's unfair to just attack Taylor. Ridge is just like his dad.
