    Ms McGregor is best yoga teacher I have found online. She offers the perfect balance between ancient tradition, modern science, and the joy of the practice. I got away from my mat for a while (my racing bike was a distraction). This re-introduction is a great way back. Thank you, Kino.

    Thank you Kino. I haven't found a teacher who goes at the right pace and incorporates the spiritual journey in a way that resonates with me until I found you. I have been doing yoga for a few years but I feel Ashtanga is where I heading. It is very generous of you to put up these videos. I am very grateful. Much love Kino. Namaste.

    Kino! :) I found your beginner yoga 30 day challenge a little over a month ago now. I wanted to properly begin my yoga journey, and the universe answered my call and I found you! this has been the most intense video of all the beginner videos I have completed. I was about to stop altogether, higher self said "No! you can do it! keep going Liv!" and I did! The emotional pain body took over my consciousness but I quickly reclaimed my sacred space and returned back to BEING in the NOW.! I felt the heat, the rush of energy, and now in rest I have thanked my body for where ever it got today, and my body has thanked me. Thank you so much Kino for your soul language, for encouraging me to keep going! your love, light and thank you for the selfless act of wanting to help others begin their yoga journey. Blessings, divine love, divine light, from Australia! xxo Liv

    Hi kino, thank you for all the instruction and reassurance throughout this video. You always keep us encouraged and let us know we are ok with wherever we are in our practice! I enjoyed how you carefully walked us through each pose and told us what it should feel like and how it's right versus wrong. I was so nervous starting today but you guided me through it and for that I'm very grateful.

    It's so hard to find a teacher whose instructions I can understand easily, and Kino, you're one of them. I felt so comfortable in the peak backbend pose for the lunge, and I think I went way deeper than i otherwise would usually go. You're the best! I love you and your practice!

    Hi Kino! I did this again today before sleeping, first tie after the May challenge, and after a fairly regular Ashtanga practice, and it feels a lot less "mad" hehe. I try to get on the mat every morning, and most of the days I squeeze in your other classes on Cody. Improvements is steady. So happy to have you as a teacher on my path! Namaste!

    It's so amazing that you still look gorgeous and your hair still beautifully neat until the end of the video while I look terribly tired and wasted after 😂 My arms, shoulders, and thighs are crying and complaining already this morning but I told them to just go on and practice and they'll thank me tomorrow 😅 Anyway, I love it when you explain not just on how to get on the pose but also the muscles and bones related to such pose plus of course the lesson to the inner journey of yoga.. You never fail to include in your teachings the real meaning of yoga and I super thank you for that, because at the end of my practice, it's not the poses that stucks in my mind but the words peace, calmness, and equanimous. You're really one of kind, such a great teacher. Thank you Kino 🙏

    Than you, Kino, for this video! It was tough! After I finished this video I thought I came a long way! When I started following you as a yoga beginner one year ago I didn't expect that Ashtanga affects my daily life so deeply! I am a flute practitioner also, and now my breathing is better, thanks to bandha, and my posture is more relaxed because I think about my body alignment more while I'm playing! I can tell you more benefits of yoga......Anyway I appreciate your work and your smile very much! Love and namaste 🙏

    don't be afraid of the burning sensations :) it's so good this is said. it's becoming wise to listening to the body. it's key to making improvements. stretch into a position where it feels tense, then try to relax, and you'll feel a burning sensation. this is what you want. as you get stronger, your body will relax. more relaxation means you'll be able to get the burning sensation more in different parts of the body. continual improvement in flexible strength is key to making progress in positive states of mind of tranquility, joy, and concentration

    Hello Kino, thank you very much for yhat you do here and also for the tips you give. This Yoga session especially worked the best for me, it is the most amazing yoga session from this series of One Month Beginner Yoga Challenge: it really challenged me, but also made me push my limits, therefore I feel more than great. I think I will keep practicing this program until I'm satisfied enough to move further.

    I never did any yoga before this series. I did do TaeKwonDo, and we used a lot of the exercises as stretching after warm-up and training, so they are not totally unfamiliar. I like that you always offer options of different degrees of difficulty, because a lot of the poses don't feel like "beginner" level to me :-) . I do enjoy each class, and will be repeating the whole series. I have found a yoga classroom near me and intend to go there about one time a month for inspiration.

    This sure warmed me up! I've definitely noticed improvements; downward facing dog isn't a struggle to hold anymore; in Tree pose I can now almost hold my foot at my thigh, my balance has improved a lot since day 9! What I want to thank you for the most though, is talking about fostering a calm and equanimous mind and reminding us of this. I have taken it to heart and it really has made my yoga practice as well as my normal day-to-day life so much more enjoyable. Thank you, I really appreciate it! :)

    Thank You Kino! In this challange I found it difficult to put weight on my knee during the new pose..I used some extra padding underneath but still it did not felt like I can hold weight properly in the first two variations, and my knee was hurting so I decided not to push it too hard. What is it that I am doing wrong that does not feel right on my knee? However the third variation with the bend worked just fine. Overall, I love these classes and I am amazed to be able to follow up with it on a daily basis!! Thank You for inspiration!

    I have a question during the hip opening section when you pick up your back foot and pull towards butt. My knees hurt. So I can't pull my knee in at all even though my quads are open for this. What can I do to assist my knees - give it time?? haha. It's not my mat as I tried even with my knees being super padded. xxxx

    Wow, this was the most demanding and the most exciting practice of the challenge so far! I suffered, felt the heat and loved every moment. Plank never felt this relaxing before.
    I have one little weird question: during the practice I didn't feel the emptiness of the pelvis but ... my well filled urinary bladder. Do you avoid drinking before long practices or do you interrupt it to go to the toilet? It is such a tiny problem if I look at it now but it felt huge during the practice and I'm curious how you handle things like that.
    Namaste!

    • @KinoYoga
      @KinoYoga  8 лет назад +1

      Yes, I definitely recommend having an empty stomach, so avoid drinking for at least 30 minutes before the practice. But really, if you need to go, it's no problem, just pause the video, go to the bathroom and then come on back to your mat :)

  • @stefs1155
    @stefs1155 8 лет назад

    I said this on the freedom in your hips day 4 of the summer yoga course video but I will say it here too...I need to do this one every day. Holy hip flexors!! It is funny, right when you mention that we should be feeling heat and sweat (or something like that) I had JUST one second earlier thought "wow, for doing all this hip stretching I sure am feeling sweaty." It is funny because it doesn't LOOK like you are doing much but there is a LOT going on there. Thank you!!!

      You have to keep lifting the spine up and out of your pelvis.

    Intense but felt really good after it was over. The plow pose was too much so I just did what I could with that.

    Can we practice yoga in periods?

    • @KinoYoga
      @KinoYoga  3 года назад

      If you have energy and you want to practice, you can do so lightly. But try and avoid anything that overly engages, twists or folds the lower pelvic region
