I can't believe well this has held up, I remember the creeper temple part seeming so unbelievably GRAND when it first came out, and while it has been far out done since then, it still retains a beautiful coloring and geometric design, the massive golden creeper is the cherry on top.
"I'm on a platform overlooking the entire maze so that I can see the path and find which way to go, but it does absolutely no good at all." Nice one Lewis XD That temple is awesome. Good tree growing solution too!
I am always impressed by the scale of the worlds and buildings upon maps like these and in normal everyday MineCraft, to think that someone took all that time to make such cool looking locations and whatnot! This is coming from a MineCraft noob, but GG all the builders in this game, and Notch for making it!
GalacticHero Ohh, so they don't log in and start with putting one block on another? ...That seems a bit less hardcore, but it is still relatively cool. Also, no worries about replying whenever :D
Good episode but I think these guys are being a bit harsh with the map because its so grand and makes whatever they've got in store for us with israphel look weak in comparison. But guys, you've gotta admit, this map is amazing!
Here I am watching old yogs vids for Nostalgia's sake, and I run into a a comment from a GW2 content creator from 10 years ago, neat :D Expansion time!
This is, like, the BEST custom map adventure ever. No question about it. The earth temple/room whatever, is amazing! Utilizing trees this way was so cute. And it was just all so well planned and created.
I am watching alone in my house, it is around midnight, as the creepy music started to play my cat knocked something off a ledge. As I went to investigate, my cat jumped from around the corner. I nearly crapped myself, to make matters worse my computer somehow continues the video as the creepy music was still playing, this time though, I did not nearly crap myself, I totally shit myself. Thanks Yogscast, you got me to ruin to my favorite pair of pants, and I'm still watching.
14:08 lewis : we are perfectly safe ! *lewis put some lava on the floor * simon : yay....uhh , is that a empty bucket in your hand ? lewis : no ? simon : that's strange
@domokittymars It's a quote from Skyrim. The guards say:"I once was an adventurer like you but then I took an arrow in the knee" And it's getting quite popular as an internet meme
I like how at around 10:00 in Simon totally set up an "arrow to the knee" joke... BEFORE SKYRIM WAS RELEASED. lol Simon: "I used to be a dwarf but then I.... um I turned my back on being a dwarf."
the way he pronouced "lever" is the american way Simon, but i've been listining to you guys pronouncing it the british or whatever your accent is, i'm now a common user of the british word. Good job you guys. And Simon i know use trollface!!
So at this point i' ve looked back to when Lewis said their score would be like 7...well he has 6 and Simon has lost the rest...yeah that was an accurate prediction.
i did this map in like 2 hours, and at the end it didn't fire instead it all blew up and showed me thank you for playing then i went over to it and drew thank you for giving me the chance to play. anyway i definitley recomend to play, seriosly download it i am about to upload a video in about 2 mins on how tto download thi and install.if you read this thank you for your time.
Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, I love them both. They're a perfect duo and I wouldn't have them any other way. But sometimes I just want to shout "Lewis, you're running past everything important!", or "Lewis, you have a sword, why aren't you fighting those mobs?!" XD
I find it weird that when they were in the room with all the lava they didn't seem to notice that there was a huge gaping hole in the wall that probably wasn't supposed to be there. They usually notice when that happens.
Every time Simon is near a ledge I've been yelling at Lewis (or my screen, whichever you prefer) to hit him off. It always disappoints me how he never does it.
I've nearly watched all of their videos in a week. Thankfully it's the school holidays and I have weeks off. I would say I've started speaking in a ENGLISH accent (Yes, English, not British. There is no such thing as a British accent) but I am already English.
13:56 Lewis opens the chest while holding lava. I tried to do that with a furnace way back when I started minecraft and burned my house down! Also in one of the videos Lewis tells Simon not to have lava in his hotbar or in his hand. ;)
when lewis read the journal quest with an intended boring voice, he sounded like the guy in spongebob squarepants who usually say like 'few hours later' or 'the next day' idk...it just occurred to me
"I used to be a dwarf", swore arrow to the knee was coming next, but then I realized that this was released before skyrim!

9:54 I thought Simon was going to quote Skyrim almost eight months before it came out
same

I know I'm replying late but most, maybe all use world edit or mc edit

Laura B cool.
Laura B Yeah doing this block by block would've taken untill I replyed to you.
Space Hitler That’s true!

"Balls to it! I didnt need any of that junk!" Says Simon as he walks away from his diamond sword...
He lost that after he fell into the lava
The water! Why didn't they pick up the water!? >_
The scale of the map is amazing. It's good to see how Simon and Lewis were before all the stuff that made them popular.
This is, like, the BEST custom map adventure ever. No question about it. The earth temple/room whatever, is amazing! Utilizing trees this way was so cute. And it was just all so well planned and created.
"I like it this big"
Lewis Brimley 2011
Climbing up waterfalls used to take so incredibly long
These older videos make feel so relaxed.
I thought that sheep picture Simon was admiring looked like the one they sent to Gromit in jail in Close Shave.
WOOOW! Whoever made this had LOTS of free time! (And they are monumentally awesome!)
Man I want more Minecraft content
Guys you are AWESOME!! Can't wait for the next vid in this series!!!!

I like Lewis doing the voices too :D Very good stuff guys! Epic map!
14:08
lewis : we are perfectly safe !
*lewis put some lava on the floor *
simon : yay....uhh , is that a empty bucket in your hand ?
lewis : no ?
simon : that's strange
Ahh yes, the days when the Audio would just cut to dead air for a few seconds. 🎉. I missed this.
That last room was so beautiful! It reminded me of the retro Spyro games
this is awesome!!! now that school is gone, i can watch this 3 season 5 times in a row!! :DD
I dont understand how they dont like this map, its fucking amazing. All the high ceilings and columns, every room looks the part.
nice voice narrating on the signs by the way sounds really creepy and fits the theme
lovely texture pack. makes the town look.. nice.
I love when Simon goes "OHHHH" in that really really high pitched voice when he finds something interesting.
@domokittymars It's a quote from Skyrim. The guards say:"I once was an adventurer like you but then I took an arrow in the knee" And it's getting quite popular as an internet meme
Finally a good ad, portal 2.
PureS0u1 Jersey this was a while ago
When Lewis got the 10 saplings, I was thinking "OH GOD THEIR GOING TO NEED TO BUILD A TREE LADDER LIKE THEY DID TO GET TO SWAMPY!" lol
i love the smoke on this texture pack
so you've made references to old TV shows, AC/DC and monty python...
BEST COMBO EVAH!
I love how Lewis goes, "Hup!" while jumping. :) So adorable. Aaaaaahhh~!
Love the Old Spice reference by Simon at 4:50, and also how the Father's voice sounds like Emperor Palpatine's :D
I like how at around 10:00 in Simon totally set up an "arrow to the knee" joke... BEFORE SKYRIM WAS RELEASED. lol
Simon: "I used to be a dwarf but then I.... um I turned my back on being a dwarf."
Aaahhhh, yes, the times where Simon didn't film anything and Lewis hadn't yet realised that you can stack porkchops!
"What the crap is this thing?
Oh, it's a pumpkin."
Lewis, you should sound happier, it's a PUMPKIN!
Simon: "a-maze-inggggggggggg~ uuuuuhhhhhhhhh"
Lewis: OOHHHHHHHHHHHH
HAHAHA best part XD
3:54 Simon is so obsessed with hidden doors behind paintings he will try to jump over an actual door to get to a fake one
xephos: walks up to secret hidden treasure sand, pokes once, and walkes away.
the way he pronouced "lever" is the american way Simon, but i've been listining to you guys pronouncing it the british or whatever your accent is, i'm now a common user of the british word. Good job you guys. And Simon i know use trollface!!
Almost thought he was gonna say "but then I took an arrow to the knee" at 9:43 only realizing moments later that Skyrim hadn't yet come out
-Lewis giggles-
"Is that an empty bucket you've got there?"
"No..."
it got sssssssssome really creepy music thats a very nice lever you got there
Still great in 2016 :D
Still great in 2018 ••D
Ps. this is the new hip thing this year 2016er!
GOOD JOB YOU KNOW, THIS WAS AFTER ALL NOVA'S IDEA BUT YOU KNOW WHAT EVER
"I used to be a dwarf, but then... I..."
Complete the sentence.
@15:00 i thought i wouldnt hear simons famous 'aaaaaahhhhhhhhh' in an episode of yogscast then my face just lit up with joy :D
"this is gravel" well done lewis
Simon: oh look a chest !!
Lewis: i already looted that.
Simon: you cheeky bugger!
XD
Good to hear lewis doing some voice acting!
Now we know how to make our mazes: make the exit in the middle, where it can't be reached by hugging either wall.
I LOVED THE HUNGRY CATERPILLAR!
You'd think the temple followers would get suspicious of all the threatening signs being strewn around every wall.
I watch Yogscast with headphones on and I'll burst out laughing and my mom will look at my like "What is wrong with you?" x)
So at this point i' ve looked back to when Lewis said their score would be like 7...well he has 6 and Simon has lost the rest...yeah that was an accurate prediction.
Love that tree thing.
Very beatiful temple, the guy/guys who made this.. they now their way around placing blocks, i have to say.
I thought Simon was going to make an arrow to the knee joke, but it turns out this video was released before skyrim was!
"So, how do we get across without cheating?" "We put down gravel! (We cheat!)"
The Necrocomnicon... coming to a library near you!
When he started saying " so many books, i like books", i thought he was going to start singing
i did this map in like 2 hours, and at the end it didn't fire instead it all blew up and showed me thank you for playing then i went over to it and drew thank you for giving me the chance to play. anyway i definitley recomend to play, seriosly download it i am about to upload a video in about 2 mins on how tto download thi and install.if you read this thank you for your time.

"I feel like a right frickin'..."
"Pillock"
"...fool"
i love how at 13 mins he thinks he cought on fire and brings out the bucket of lava to put himself out
The hungry callerpillar was my favorite book when I was a child
haha when he started with " I used to be a dwarf..." I was actually thinking no way is he really going to say that he took an arrow to the knee haha
It can't possibly be his favourite book when he can't even say the name properly...
I felt rather anxious when Louis was just walking around with a bucket of lava in his hand...
very impressive custom map
nothing quite like tea and crumpets while you play some minecraft
I find it weird that when they were in the room with all the lava they didn't seem to notice that there was a huge gaping hole in the wall that probably wasn't supposed to be there. They usually notice when that happens.
nice series!
Dammit, Simon you said it wrong. It's "I used to be a dwarf, but then I took an arrow to the knee."
it got sssssssssome really creepy music that a very nice lever you got there
I think the high located platform on that maze is for finding the right way, you can see the whole maze then ^^.
After watching all these yogscast videos, I'm starting to develop a british accent. Earlier today, my mom asked me why I was talking like a brit :D
Every time Simon is near a ledge I've been yelling at Lewis (or my screen, whichever you prefer) to hit him off. It always disappoints me how he never does it.
@MrMarcuslast We just don't know. But it's oddly compelling to watch it when it shows up in your sub box.
"The temple claimed two more today." ...And a dwarf.
15:05 It's BEAUTIFUL! I feel like it was a "Journey to the Center of the Earth" moment. hahaha
I've nearly watched all of their videos in a week. Thankfully it's the school holidays and I have weeks off.
I would say I've started speaking in a ENGLISH accent (Yes, English, not British. There is no such thing as a British accent) but I am already English.
This is an awesome-ass map!
luv the old spice promo, too funny !!
13:56 Lewis opens the chest while holding lava. I tried to do that with a furnace way back when I started minecraft and burned my house down! Also in one of the videos Lewis tells Simon not to have lava in his hotbar or in his hand. ;)
It's funny to compare how sparklez plays this map and how you deal with it ^^
9:54 At first I thought Simon was going to make an 'arrow to the knee' joke, but then I realised Skyrim wasn't out at the time of this video >.>
I love these old maps... the Yogscast at its best.
I find them both hilarious!
this map is more epic then i thought
Did Anyone else wish Simon would have taken a flint and tinder to that massive temple made of cotton and wood? I don't see how he was able to resist.
what a feeling, there's a tree on the sealing
Priceless Lewis quotes #142: "The chickens in this are like, black crows."
So, they are black crows then? XD XD
this is so great but how long did it take to build those buildings and temple.Ive seen this 100s times! my friends love it!!!
when they were going up after getting through the maze i could only think of:
"Throw that bucket of lava down there!"
i just stepped on a sharp ass piece of glass in my kitchen, i regret ever leaving you yogscast =[
Can't... stop... watching...
when lewis read the journal quest with an intended boring voice, he sounded like the guy in spongebob squarepants who usually say like 'few hours later' or 'the next day'
idk...it just occurred to me
