Triple Double looks like she's been performing it for years, now that she's gotten the nerves out the way. Definitely better and less deductions, than the Moors was giving her.
It's crazy how a year ago we were all collectively dumbstruck at how Biles had returned from her hiatus to add a Moors, and now she's already moved on lolololol

br0wnsug3h i know triple double is harder than Moors, but I feel like landing after laid out position is way harder to get it clean than with the tucked position. So, I really agree that her triple double landing might be much cleaner than her Moors.

She should have been Automatically selected to the team. She was first at USA champs. Have to protect the atheletes from injuries. But she did a good job here anyway.
As much as she deserves to go to champs , you never know how gymnasts improve or not , for example sunisa lee almost beat her today , and people are already saying oh she is no longer the best and undervaluing all her achievements , so she needs to constantly prove that she is the best gymnast

I don’t know how Simone lands her triple double as effortless as she does. This is an undeniable gold medal once again on the world stage. My only hope is that she brings back her Biles+punch layout and switches her punch layout 1/1 connected to the full-in with her Chusovitna+Split Jump. That routine would increase her difficulty and in my opinion be more dynamic! Maybe slightly more risky in terms of OOB, but Simone has buffer room to play around in that regard!
I think that she's being smart by focusing on one huge new skill and getting it down cold before trying to work another one in. I love the Biles+, but she seemed to have trouble controlling it. It's still a work in progress, but I have zero doubts that she'll have it on line for Tokyo.
Ravanne I agree .. there is no reason to overwork , risk injury, get in your Nerve if there is not real competition for her in FX .. why stretching Simone to her limits every time to damage her career , for the sake of us , the viewers .. nah it is not worthy

There was no question Simone would make this team, she is still the only woman in the world to compete 3 of her moves, and one of them she has competed for nearly 8 years!

The World Championships in 3 weeks will be end of the international competitive year. They should hopefully have enough gas in their tank to peak then.

coming from a retired gymnast, to prep for world's , training goes beyond what you expect it to be .so yes it's exhausting. that's just the way of the sport. which is why we only have one world's a year instead of multiples

I remember when she could not fully control it and getting Out of bounds to the point that she had to eliminate the stag to avoid deductions .. not anymore
