Thanks for watching, everyone. We're happy to have been able to get three videos out so far this month! More coming soon. English subs will up on this one shortly.
Hey everyone, hope this was an interesting review! The movie gave me a lot to think about, so felt it would be fun to get it out in video form. I'll be back with some grander history soon!
After the mention of kayfabe I just couldn't stop thinking of a Macho Man version of a VTuber.
I like to think that his Vtube avatar would basically look like the Macho Man Randy Savage dragon mod for Skyrim😂
I just found channel thank you for this video, i don't know why my country not giving me access to your channels but once again thank you for this video
underrated
Belle main take for me is be yourself and not let your mask overtake your real personality. I didn’t care for the world u but the real world was more interesting. I voted the film but the climax was the best part of it
The climax (climaxes?) of the movie is actually something I really wanted to talk about in the video, but figured it's a bit too spoilery. Both had amazing aspects alongside some stuff that just kept bothering me in the back of my mind (like a lot of the movie).
Mamoru really lacks a script writer that would make all of his scattered ideas more solid, whole and meaningfull. New films are good and they have great moments but they lack refinement touches.
I pretty much agree with everything you said. If anything, you were more positive on the visuals of the movie. I didn't love the CG for the virtual world and it was so much of the movie.
I didn't know about Hosoda's writer for the first three movies, and that makes so much sense as to why I like those more.
Ha, guess I actually went a bit easy on the visuals - I wasn't a fan of the cel-shading, which I thought looked fairly janky. But since it's clearly supposed to create a dividing line between the real world and U, I decided not to rag on it too much. My main dig was the comparison with Paprika, which manages to make similar visuals so much more interesting.
@@noahoskow4551 Yeah that's totally fair. Here's to hoping Hosoda brings on a dedicated writer for his next movie and sticks to directing!
Suggestion. Maybe you could do a video on long distance running in Japan? Seems to be pretty big over there.
