3:43 This stat regarding Giannis' ascension from MIP to MVP is crazy! With the amount of amazing talent having significant impacts as rookies, will we ever see a player do that again?
Should've included how many #1 Draft Picks became MVPs! I think the number is 10. Which is pretty sad, if you consider there have been more than 70 #1s who were eligible for this... Big O Kareem Walton Magic Hakeem Shaq Iverson Timmy LBJ Rose
@@ericf91 The MVP Award started in 1955-56, but the NBA existed before that and so did the Draft. Some of the early #1 picks' careers didn't last long enough for them to play in the 1955-56 season (a couple never even played professional basketball at all), so they were technically ineligible.

The fact that he won MVP and DPOY in the same year proves IMO he's an all time great. The chip and finals MVP made that concrete level solid

Emflop is the only MVP to never even make a conf. finals
3:05 The fact that Lebron almost won one for the Lakers
Shouldn't oscar robertson be in the group that have a ring but no finals mvp?
No, because he didn't win MVP in the season he won MVP.
Edit: Actually I don't know.
2:10 where is Shaq?
I wondered that too but I looked it up and he actually never won DPOY
Why would shaqs sorry ass have a dpoy?
Russ and Harden will be off that list in June
Idk why, but I was shocked when found out that Garnett was MVP

That's what happens when you try to do these things by memory... 😁
What do you mean by eligible versus ineligible

@@sakaridis I misread. I thought you meant number #1 picks to win MVP the rookie year
Didn’t Westbrook average 26 ppg his mvp season?
No
DROSE🐐🌹
kinda early man
Just sad that Kobe was never mentioned even once.
why is that sad?
Maybe he’s a little overrated
woah, early
I know right
KD is was not the first pick
Rookie of the Year, not 1st pick
I was born in 1969.
Hey
Guys make this the most liked comment on the vid ;)
Ratio
Where is Paul George ?
He don’t win mvp
Bron should’ve been in that DPOY section
Lost to someone who didn't even make All-NBA defensive first team that year.
No Tony Allen had a better case lol.
