Is it just me, or do the SOMETHINGs feel more aggressive? They don't usually chase people, instead being content to just follow along. Normally, they only get hostile when they latch onto a fear (e.g., Acrophobia, Arachnophobia, Thalassophobia.)
Well what else can you expect I mean aubrey literally said that it would be better if he died in mari's stead and we know SOMETHING is none other than mari so it's simple.

Yeah ppl often forget that mari loves sunny and it wouldve been a normal arguement if they didnt argue up the stairs and i personally see it like this theres 2 sides of mari one that guides sunny and helps him and 2 the one sunny made up in his head bc of the guilt
Just remember that HELLMARI is just another face for SOMETHING. Given the other times that MARI is implied to be interacting with SUNNY don't show anger (chief among them the piano scene with HERO), I would bet she would not go off the handle at all. She could very well be disappointed and maybe saddened/stressed, but angry? I would doubt it, especially after seeing what anger brought their loved ones.
Man I got choked up during that scene when Basil was berating Aubrey for what she said to Sunny, the passion and emotion in that scene is almost palpable. I tried to think about what she could possibly have said to him that would hurt him on such a deep emotional level. I don’t think she told him it should have been him that died that day, because honestly I think that’s what Sunny wishes for too. But at the same time I find it difficult to imagine what could be worse than wishing death on someone. It has to be something more personal and deeply emotional. Though I don’t expect a precise answer, leaving it up to interpretation is incredibly effective.

Before part 2 of this ep comes out, I wanted to say how well the characters were written. Aubrey despite her attempts to being more open minded and considerate in the game, in here, she is obviously still struggling to accept the truth that Sunny was the one responsible for Mari's death. Seeing how the hooligans reacted, it may make sense she must've vented at some point to the Hooligans and they didn't fully understand the situation. I do hope however she at least comes to terms with the Truth in a more mature way as she was seen to be maturing quickly when growing up. Aside from Kel, she might be much more accepting towards it compared to Hero who's supposed to be the more sensible of the group but that's just me. As for Hero, I can see him be more cold and distant though definitely not openly hateful. He's more mature and older and that's true but as a teenager deeply attached to someone who passed away, he's surely been hurt enough to struggle forgiving Sunny. That's not to say Aubrey wasn't that close to Mari but more like Hero's own feelings towards Mari played a bigger factor in affecting how would he react and cope with Mari's death. Kel regressing and being more emotional than before while Basil more confidence was a great part of this AU. It gives the two some development in order to drive the story. Keep up the good work!
I have many emotions about this episode, but to try and sum it up into one sentence that won't nearly ad effectively explain it before it's 11pm now, almost 12am: "Holy shit, it's happening everyone, grab the popcorn- STRANGER, MY BELOVED"
What black space is telling Aubrey: How is what YOU did any different than what happened with Sunny and Mari? Nobody was there to help HIM. There were no ADULTS, no SUPPORT. Just two SCARED KIDS. Blame sunny and hare him all you want, but at least he tried to save your ass from the same fate.
This animation was actually the best Christmas present this year. This actually brought me joy, excitement, and you retrieved my love for this game. Love your work and please don't stop, cause you're great at this.

I like the writting of this and how it is basically a whole new story but still has the essence of Omori; the characters still act according to their personalities, the backgrounds and nightmares have the same taste to them. And the fact that a new room was created for the lake thing is just amazing. Also, I loved how each time "The Maverick" talked, the box showed his real name xD. This should be obvious at this point but, your art style is just gorgeous, everything was really good ilustrated, and the animated bits really worth it. Merry Christmas! And don't preasure yourself, if you wanna take a break you deserve it at this point :D

I think this is a lovely exploration of some aftermath of the game. A lot of people think that the reactions of the characters don't need to be explored, which I think is fine, but I think that the ways people interpret everyone's reactions is interesting since so much of the game IS up to interpretation. This is a great little series you're doing and I hope to see more from you on the series. Hope you're enjoying your break, and I look forward to more creations :)

This is amazing!! honestly the amount of work that's been put into this... ngl from my perspective i'd think that basil would blame himself mainly, but this kind of thing is really unique and interesting to see. You captured the feelings and scariness so well, oh god!!
Moral lesson from omori, (Spoilers) Aubrey: pushes basil in a lake. Hero saves basil, stopping the cycle. Sunny: pushes mari down the stairs, She dies. This is all right canon proof you always need a *hero* in your life. /g

This series so far is so so so emotional. I related to Omori a lot when I played the game, and this series just adds to it. The episodes are so emotional and when certain events happen, I get a little "flashback" of parts of the game. The diolaoge is amazing, and well chosen, the art is amazing, but the suspense is killing me! That's what I call good story telling. I can't wait for the next part, but remember to take plenty of breaks!
It would be pretty cool if sunny had to fight omori again after seeing his friends in the black space. Except this time, his friends see the struggle he’s been through first hand.

I think this is a lovely exploration of some aftermath of the game. A lot of people think that the reactions of the characters don't need to be explored, which I think is fine, but I think that the ways people interpret everyone's reactions is interesting since so much of the game IS up to interpretation. This is a great little series you're doing and I hope to see more from you on the series. Hope you're enjoying your break, and I look forward to more creations :)

This series so far is so so so emotional. I related to Omori a lot when I played the game, and this series just adds to it. The episodes are so emotional and when certain events happen, I get a little "flashback" of parts of the game. The diolaoge is amazing, and well chosen, the art is amazing, but the suspense is killing me! That's what I call good story telling. I can't wait for the next part, but remember to take plenty of breaks!
It would be pretty cool if sunny had to fight omori again after seeing his friends in the black space. Except this time, his friends see the struggle he’s been through first hand.
