What a Beast ! Congrats to the Patriot Family ! I can see Justin standing there for hours admiring the beauty of this Race Hauler ! This machine would bring a smile to any man ! Keep up the great work !
42.5 ton is your limit. if u look at the split it should be roughly 6 ton over the steer. 16 over the drive and 19 over the tri. this will keep u safe and the scalies of your back and give u some spare capacity for heavier loads if u need it. ps. dont forget ur logbook and driving hours
I love what your doing Justin but a thought might be to have a full workshop in a A trailer and then re modified the current workshop/ storage area into a kitchen/ sleeping just In the case you are able to disconnect the back trailer to go out and run around doing the servicing maybe even have it that you can put just one car in the A trailer where the walls extend out to service and store it in the trailer. Just my thoughts mate
Awsum setup Justin !! Love the Mack & the trailer. The side opening is mint to safely secure the race cars. There may be a couple of race teams that will want Patriot to build a transporter for them. Cheers
At 50 tonne your 7.5 tonne too heavy. You gotta keep it at 42.5 tonne or get mass management for it. I’d be putting a descent genset under the trailer and maybe build full width lockers under there as well, you’d then be able to put all the stuff on the mezzanine floor under there and free up all that space.
You might need to look at cml or hml . Cml will get you to 6.25 on steer 6.5 if it has (fups) front under protection system. 17 on the drive and 21 on the tri.. hands up if you need a mc driver
Finaly a comp where you dont have to write a story be it good or sad to win. This is the way it should have been with the first D-Max and M-ux. Sell your products for enteries in to win. Hope there is a limit to how many tickets one can have. I could see some rich person buying $5000 worth of rims just to enter to get car and sell rims at a loss..just saying. I know it only takes one ticket to win but there are people out there like that.. As for the semi and trailer, nicely set up :)
I didn’t hear you say you have a genset in the rig. I would put a diesel 9kw genset to run anything you needed to. Also a bench hyd press. One of those small 3 in 1 lathe, mill, drill press for repairs to anything you can smash up. A panel shop hydraulic push/pull set to straighten any bent frame bits and a good 3 in 1 combo welder, mig/tig/arc only other thing is a oxy set to heat shit up. Rig looks sharp those lifting side doors are the ducks guts Jas.
I work on these trucks. The engine and gearbox are from Volvo. The MP8, also known as the D13 in the Volvos is a good engine. The M-Drive, also known as the I-Drive in the Volvo's is a good gearbox, The M-drive has been around for almost 2 decades now in Volvo's until it was engineered, along with the D13 (MP8) and D16 (MP10) to be put in Mack trucks around 2008. The M Drive gearbox, I'd say is the best automated manual you can get.
Nice rig, but I'd have put it over a set of scales before going anywhere. 50t estimation puts you 4.5t over the absolute maximum limit for a semi combination with a tri axle trailer under mass management. Given the trailer design, length and the cargo, I'd say you're probably under 35t.
Sorry mate, but no way are you up around 50 tonnes, the maximum all up weight for a bogey and TRI combo is 42.5 Tonnes and only having the race cars plus spares, I'm guessing about 36 or 37 tonnes taking into account the extra weight put into the trailer with the gulping sides the rear ramp and the mez, otherwise a nicely tricked out unit. I also feel it would handle pretty well also when you got the supper in.
Great design for the trailer Justin. The idea of a an 'A' trailer for sleeping quarters etc sounds a cracker as it would be seperated from the workshop side of things making for comfy digs in the bush. One thing to note is as already posited max GVM for single with no exemptions is 42.5 ton. The other point if UHF channel 35 was showing on the UHF radio and that a channel along with 5 are both dedicated emergency services channels so please folk do not use these to transmit as doing so can result in not only a fine but restrict emergency services from communicating with each other. Look forward to more episodes of Patriot Games.
All the money in the world Justin but no air cti for lowering drive tyre's on the fly... you would know the country out that way and getting sand bogged is real especially in a truck 110 psi drive pressure.. 🤞
Great video. Won’t be 50t. If so… delete the video asap. A normal driver would be prosecuted for claiming his semi was 50t. The smallest truck that could be registered for 50t would be a truck and quad dog. It would have an extra 16.5t axle group under it.
50t? Not even close son. Apart from the fact you would be over weight, the empty truck and trailer would be less than 25t (going by the mods done and with fuel), 1-2t worth of tools equipment etc, 2t for the truck and what 6-700kg for the SXS. Your more like 30-32t. If your not sure, with a New truck and set up you should always check your weights when you first load it. Overweight fines are excessive.
Only thing missing an australian made sign
What a Beast ! Congrats to the Patriot Family !

Seen you guys pass through Rockhampton would have loved to have seen that trophy truck and the razr in person

Awesome setup only thing definitely probably add is a bullbar for the Mack would hate to see a big red roo smash the front end of it.
What a work of art

Would be more like half that
Fantastic truck and trailer!
I predict:
1. Turning this Mach truck into a B-double
2. A second Mach truck joining the team at the end of 2023
Absolutely love this F****king channel!!!! this is what makes me want to travel to australia
This truck is stunning. Awesome job
Can't wait more Finke!!! more Vids!!! Mad Happy !🤣

Beautifully set up rig.

Maybe a a trailer would make a great accommodation! Being a truck driver maybe powder coat the fuel tanks?saves polishing Crome?
Truck drivers love chrome the weirdos
Hi Justin and Patriot crew, it's a great setup. The M Drive in the Mack are a great gearbox. Is it the same truck as was in Bowen?
Yeah mate, same truck!
Awesome 👍👍
Very cool
A great piece of equipment
Love the Mack. Best truck ever made.
42.5 tonne is maximum u can run legally for that combination.
Wrap the tanks in stainless, never need to polish them again.
and a few more lights
Justin, where is the kegerator/beer in the Mac?
I doubt you would get a B-double set up into many off road racing pits and camping areas from my experience
Nice rig, but I'd have put it over a set of scales before going anywhere. 50t estimation puts you 4.5t over the absolute maximum limit for a semi combination with a tri axle trailer under mass management. Given the trailer design, length and the cargo, I'd say you're probably under 35t.
Would love to drive the mack for you guys though
50t doubt it, Nhvr be onto you if that’s the case
Always enjoy the vids, but why do they get uploaded months after filming?
Also, keep to 42.5t 😂😂 the fines are excessive
I second this fines are not worth it

Pretty cool set up lots of fun to cruise around in but i think the your set up would weigh 50 ton..
After working on Mack trucks I can confirm you should look at a kenworth ahhaha but nah man they do go alright
Is add a bull bar, snorkels to suit the truck
And a welder
Yeah boys

All the money in the world Justin but no air cti for lowering drive tyre's on the fly... you would know the country out that way and getting sand bogged is real especially in a truck 110 psi drive pressure.. 🤞
Needs a pcor tray
Hi
50t... nope, be closer to 30t, maybe 35 😅
Well there goes my chance to win a X1
Can I ask why the mack anthem
Looks good but 1 person in the bunk
Make a place for a welder
Bull bar
Is a B-double coming as the twins move beyond the buggies? Love the episodes
B-double as he said would be the living quarters.
