I build Leon with MP (Runes) and SPD (Primordial Robe & Peridot Bangle), with Stone Runes, to protect team from getting hit. That's only his purpose in my team lmao
At the end game, he’s okay.. You can build him to hit hard enough either thru enchantment or magic cast.. The problem is until you get to the late game, around level 50-60, he has poor hp and defenses, plus as a frontliner you need Reyna or Yuthus to keep him alive on hard hitting enemies as well as an hp accessory instead of an offensive accessory.. Another problem is you’re wasting a character’s turn, either Leon’s or another’s turn to give him enchanted attacks, which with his low survivability in the early to mid game, can be useless if he dies fast.. You need to re-apply it.. He’s really one of those, bad characters that when built right in the end game is good, but until then he’s a liability imo.. If only he has some kind of OP hero combo like with francesca, that compensates with his low survivability early on in the game that warrants putting him on the team..
I totally agree, he needs a lot of finessing after waiting a long time to be usable. I have a soft spot for the low tiers. I think it came from loving to play Ganondorf in Smash Bros, but I feel for the fans of these characters, haha. It's a shame that you have to wait so long to make someone like Leon viable and what it takes to do so, whether it's the front or back rows. While you have others that just fall off at the end of the game after being fairly good at the start/midgame. That's why I condone the high tiers for postgame/farming content, but everything else I just say: play what you want. If there's an Eiyuden Chronicles 2, I really hope they learn from the obscure balancing of this game for what to do next time.
@@zutchkorr3056 tbh, I really like his design model and voice which is why I’m this passionate that he needs a lot to work.. He’s actually one of the few characters I would love to show up and have a better showing in the sequel.. I mean in the future he must have improved as he ages..

I think you're onto something...he is just a kid at the moment! I do like his character, glad he is usable in some capacity.
