    I also love this fish. I've currently got one growing out for my show tank as well as two livingstonii. I also love how you captured the male displaying to the female by turning his spots on and off.

    10 to 12 inches is more like it in the appropriate size tank of course. Good show

    What is the name of that cichlid with the white dots

      Paratilapia sp. Marolambo. Commonly known as the Starry Night cichlid. (experts debate what the species name actually should be). You can find juveniles for sell at Dave's Rare Aquarium Fish.
