As a 18 year veteran I wanted to list out what I used to bring to festivals & underground parties alike. Each experience is different but I always felt I had everything I needed. A mid size backpack that holds all your necessities. What I put in mine: small package of kleenex (can't trust there will be teepee all night), small bottle hand sanitizer, water, gum (aspartame free, Walgreens sells a brand called PURE), phone, money & ID, & a glow stick (in case there aren't lights on certain pathways).
What to wear: always comfortable dance shoes. Looks like skate shoes are still popular..? Osiris & Etnies are good brands.
Think of something unique to wear that expresses who you are. Back in the day we used to make our own phat pants, skirts, wrist cuffs, etc
I forgot about osiris shoes lmao they took over my entire middle school for a whole year or two
I learned that having a big fan was a quick way to make friends almost immediately haha. Especially tall folk!

The last rave I went to was in 2015 and I raved for a couple years. Im going back to my first festival since then. I know this video is 4 years old, but this is a great refresher. I did not know about the fans. I will bring one for sure!

I've been going to raves since the 90s, and yep, ear plugs are a must. I work in a very noisy firearms manufacturing facility, and have access to plugs which lower sound to 25 decibels. The plugs are foam, and fit in the ear canal. They are also UV light reactive. I carry at least 10 pairs with me, and have sold them to unfortunate people who didn't have any. Your hearing can be damaged permanently so easily, and you have no clue it's happening until it's too late. You don't want to have to wear hearing aids by the time you're 30. Protect your hearing!!!! (Jan Griffiths).
I got a bag of 50 pairs from walmart and tried to pass them out to people, nobody wanted them lol I was like alright suit yourself

In the 90's I went to many not exactly legal raves and I think the only differences in your list I had was the hydration pack - we used plastic bottles the organisers would count in and out so they were recycled. The USB bank - they didn't exist, and ear plugs. Everything else I used although the bandana was so the police couldn't identify you when they broke it up.
Loved this for sure! Definitely have to save up to get that lunchbox bag and some zound earplugs. Started raving more this year and I gotta keep my hearing!!!

It's not really a "staple", MUST have item, because you can def. have fun, and fun dancing, without anything but your own badass moves, (LMAO!), but having some form of really cool "light show" stuff is very fun too!...
I personally love the "Pixel Whip" from FiberFlies, because of the amazingly *awesome* array of totally endless COLOR that it presents, floating ALL around your entire body when you're dancing with one, (or even one in *each hand* if you're really good with them!), but the main "disadvantage" that they have is that in order to be FULLY utilized and *appreciated* (both by you AND everyone around you watching), is that you need a reasonable amount of *space* around you to allow the fibers to FLOW smoothly and properly, so they might not work as great as they could if you're at a rave or festival where you're literally packed in the crowd like "sardines in a can", as it was the last time I saw "Black Tiger Sex Machine", for example! (B.T.S.M. sets are more aggressive "mosh pit" style though anyway, not really appropriate for individual light shows... The lights and visuals on their stage are what everyone's paying attention to anyway!... and their sick-ass BASS too!)
Mint inhalers and pacifier is important after taking molly. Mint inhaler let you feel better and pacifier protect your teeth.

I’m 45 and remember those Vicks nose inhalers and how it zipped you up when rolling 😂😂 man those were some crazy times. I’m surprised I survived 😮
@@darliavaldez728basically vicks vapor rub, but instead of the cream/gel its just a little tube of air, that you inhale through your nose and its super minty. They are made for when you have a cold or a stuffy nose, to help you breathe. People use them when rolling on molly bc it feels more intense

Face masks are such a game changer! If you are willing to spend a little more on one Vogmask is my favorite brand, they have a great filter and they are very easy to breathe with!

For any festival in the woods bug spray and a hat are essential. Especially because i know they usually spray the area for ticks and other bugs but you still want to be as careful as you can.
I always carry wet wipes or some tp and the small travel size sun screen it’s a lifesaver from sunburn if you remember to re apply

I’m looking to buy a fan for Coachella last year was horrible it was 90 to 100 degrees when the sun was beaming. A word of advice might be common sense to some people if you’re in a hot environment have multiple bandannas and wet them once you go in and put on our your forehead and the one you wear as a mask. Feels super good when in the heat.
I don’t have a hydration pack but i do have a camelback water bag which is what i usually use for festivals.
Watching this in end 2020 and i have to laugh so much. 3:27 if we only knew in 2019 how much we would have known about it now.......
Can you make a video showing the lunchbox more ... like compartments and what actually comes with it when you buy it. I saw that it had a lot of add on and was wondering if it doesn’t come with certain things that other hydration backpacks come with (like the straw thingie)

For outdoor raves I'm fine even if I'm up front but indoor ones, if I'm too close to the speakers, everyone sounds like the chipmunks. They sound like that for the rest of the night but nobody I asked seems to know what I'm talking about.
Is the lunchbox spacious?? I bought a cheap hydration pack off amazon for escape last year and it honestly was too small and because I had everything crammed in there it was a bitch to refill the water :/

It’s so so worth it! The quality is incredible and all the tiny details are so well thought out. It’s lasted me years and I haven’t had anything stolen from me at an event 👏🏼 $130 for peace of mind vs spending $1000+ on a new phone or other valuables is worth it!
Am I the only one who finds people swinging the fan up and down and making that fan noise during shows extremely annoying? It doesn’t sound nice at all and it’s obnoxious.

Felix Yuen because it just intensifies the lights and the music. Makes you wanna dance and just makes the experience better (at least to me). You don’t have to do drugs to have a good time though. And they’re definitely not legal at raves.
Also, a lot of the times these festivals are crazy long and doing those drugs help people dance all night.
