Absolutely hilarious! Phoebe moaning and groaning and howling with grief was one of the funniest scenes of all! Kudos to the late Ruth Warrick for her portrayal of this wonderful, regal, yet very funny character. RIP Ruth, you are sorely missed.
The gentleman that hung up the phone for Phoebe, wasn't that Louis Edmonds, who play Roger Collins on Dark Shadows? Even if I didn't see his face, his voice was surely recognizable. Don't know as to who he was playing, but I wasn't all that much into soap operas. Dark Shadows was my whole favorite!
As hard as it is to take your eyes off Warrick's performance, it is interesting to watch the assorted 'table companions' as she stumbles and insults everyone. Watch for their reactions in character as the embarrassing episode unfolds.
Susan Lucci's character really inherited Ruth Warrick's character, but Lucci had been the best of friends, for 35 years, until Warrick's passing. May Lucci mentor's #RIP. (1916 - 2005).
It is an oddly- lit shot, but I believe it is Ellen. She was married to Ross Chandler...wonderful actress who did a brief spot on a Murphy Brown episode.
@@robertgalbreath6239 There's a funny outtake of Noone (Ellen) rustling through her papers and a loose address label slipped out between the papers and fell into her cleavage.

I LOOOOOOOOVE drunk Phoebe!!!! Ruth Warrick was amazing as Phoebe Tyler Wallingford! I am sitting here hollering at this performance!!!!
She was an absolute asset to the show. Amazing actress who could play both drama and comedy ❤
I sooo miss Phoebe!!! R.I.P. my dear Ruth Warrick!! You brought so many AMC fans lots of joy and laughter!!
She played a really good drunk. It's one of the toughest roles to play.
Takes me back to my childhood
My mom watching all my children. It was good memories
OMG - Drunk Phoebe was an absolute HOOT! Langley was perfect for her.
I love Ruth Warrick!!!! Many jabs through the years on AMC made by Erica and Palmer made Phoebe such a memorable character.
This was classic comedy! She played physical humor and sharp wit, with customary grace and style!
Classic Phoebe all the way!
Hilarious drunk! I love it!
Phenomenal actress! This is awesome!
I love the expression on Nina’s face when Phoebe calls Palmer ‘that evil corrupting man’. That’s a great scene with all those characters
Taylor Miller was so beautiful!!
I almost forgot just how FUN!! "Phoebe" made this show.
Miss Ruth Warrick. The True Diva of AMC. RIP my dear.
THe ladies of lineage miss Phoebe terribly
I do believe that Phoebe was a member of the Daughters of Fine Lineage!!
My favorite character ever!☺️
High - lari-ous!!!!! Go girl! Ruth Warwick at her funniest
Funny, but also painful when you grow up with an alcoholic parent. Kudos to Ruth Warrick for capturing it so well.
Phoebe was great!
“How could you sell your soul to the highest bidder!” I love it!
The best! 1 of the funniest scenes in daytime ever
She's actually one of the drunks I grew up with - the only one I liked.
A drunk you grew up with? Lol
I bet anything Ruth Warwick LOVED doing that scene.

Langley&Pheobe👑❤️
Poor comic genius from Ruth Warrick. Absolutely hilarious!! They don’t make them like that anymore
Poor?
You're absolutely right, that's Louis Edmonds.
What a hero she was to the community during the AIDS crisis.
Susan Lucci's character really inherited Ruth Warrick's character, but Lucci had been the best of friends, for 35 years, until Warrick's passing. May Lucci mentor's #RIP. (1916 - 2005).
omg!!!! thanks for posting!
Love
Do you have any clips of Charles and Mona’s wedding? Also Phoebe and Langley’s wedding?
oh my gosh, is the woman on the telephone (with Phoebe) the same actor who plays Joan on "Frankie &Grace"?
Who is sitting between Erica and Charles Tyler, the lady who gets up and leaves. I don't remember her name.
Ellen. She was Mark's wife and Erica's sister in law. Played by Kathleen Noone I believe.
Thanks!

@@robertgalbreath6239 she also played Claudia Whitaker in Knots Landing.
