Huh, surprisingly I really liked this! I was going in with the mindset of "I'll check this track and if I don't like it I'll not listen to them again". I will be checking more tracks! It wasn't too chaotic although there were a couple of very out there sections that weren't for me. Overall though the heavy riffs and uncleans were really good and definitely for me! I was a big fan of the chorus (think that's what it was, it happened twice) with those cleans! Really liked the synthy keys part as well which worked so well!Glad I checked this track out!
So! I have words. Firstly, great track. It's gonna take a lil processing, but overall.. early to call but it might end up one of my favorites. There's a band from the 90s called Mr Bungle that did a lot of wacky shit like this, and another from the 00s called Twelve Foot Ninja. They were two bands that really caught my ear when I was branching out my musical tastes into the more eclectic, and I haven't really found anything since then that scratches that same itch the way Daoboys has, and they do it super well. From the heavy sections to the lighter sections to the post hardcore style chorus, there's a ton of stuff going on. I love it. I liked Waco Jesus well enough, but it left me hoping for more stuff like this and I'm glad we got it. I'll be listening to this one a ton. Can't wait to hear that final track, too. Great vid, Rach! 💙
Thank you for doing a video on this song, i probably wouldn't have discoverd this otherwise :D It's been on repeat for the last 24hours!
Glad you’re checking out the Daoboys, really hope more people find them
this was a sick track. I'm excited for the upcoming EP
God I love them. They are keeping the Dillinger style mathcore alive
i could never really get into dillinger other than a couple tracks here and there, but the daoboys are life
