Really hated this tape when it came out cuz it wasnt the underwater i wanted but after watching your reaction i really resonated with your comment “confession booth”. It really is like that, and the fact he produced everything is awesome as well. This is a new era for chief keef, and we can just expect more evolution when time passes. I really love his music, and i hope this tape will grow on me like all his others. You really opened my eyes with your comments on the deep lyrics that i just ignored when listening. Very nice review and video

Bro easily funniest part of the video is you going a whole tangent on “let’s understand that men can be victims but don’t hit women” and then it just cuts to you munchin on a Ice cream pop with chief keef blasting

In recent videos you’ve seemed to suggest that if some sort of causal determinism is true (whether it be physical, genetic, etc.), then we can’t hold people morally responsible. This is actually a pretty controversial claim in the ethics and metaphysics of free will called incompatibilism. According to the 2020 philpapers survey, most professionals in the field are compatibilists (59.16%), meaning that they think free will and causal determinism can both be true at the same time. Incompatibilism is by no means a fringe position, but I just thought I’d throw this out there since you don’t seem to be aware of the available conceptual territory, and since you seem to care quite a bit about these issues.

That’s not what I’m suggesting and I’m not unaware of those concepts. I believe in holding people morally responsible, but I also believe in radical empathy and trying to understand on a deeper level why people are the way they are. I believe people have free will, but that our choices are heavily constrained and influenced by our environment, upbringing and genetics. I personally believe that decision making happens on a quantum level, and until a decision is made, there are multiple possible paths, but the probability of certain choices being taken over others is heavily influenced by more deterministic factors. So you could say I fall more in line with the compatibilists because I think free will exists inside of a deterministic framework

Gotcha. I’m totally down with the radical empathy stuff. Didn’t mean to push that position onto you.
Just a quick thought. Treating decisions as quantum events would probably introduce a certain amount of indeterminacy into the universe. Under causal determinism, there is exactly one possible future at any given time (holding the laws of physics fixed over a complete microphysical state description), if some events are the result of probabilistic causes, then there is more than one possible future. So, I don’t think your account requires that free will and determinism be compatible with each other (although you’re free to say that they would be compatible, were determinism true).
