Ancient And Historical Mir Chakar e Azam Rind Tomb & Fort In District Okara Pakistan

  • In this video we will show you an ancient and historical fort and tomb of Mir Chakar e Azam Rind Satghara. This fort is relates to the Mir Chakar e Azam Rind. According to second tradition this fort was constructed by Maharaja Ranjeet Singh in his era. The tomb of Mir Chakar e Azam is unique and different in this point of view that 7 graves are present inside this tomb. The history of Mir Chakar Rind is very strange and interesting. The Baloch nation consists of different tribes and from which one tribe is Rind Baloch. Mir Chakar e Azam was the head of this tribe and was a splendid general also. Mir Chakar e Azam Rind was born in 1468 in Sibbi city of Balochistan province. Mir Chakar e Azam Rind became the head of his tribe at the age of 18 after the death of his father Mir Shehaq Rind. According to history you became the conquered of war between Rind and Lashari tribes and it is said that this war continued for 30 years. Later he settled in Satghara the area of Punjab province in 1518 after left the Sibbi the area of Balochistan province. Mir Chakar Rind has a great importance in history because he played an important role to save Mughal’s Empire. When Sher Shah Suri became ruler than Humayun reached in the darbar of Shah Tamasak Iran for shelter. Mir Chakar e Azam Rind provided a safe passage to bring Humayun back to India and he also helped Humayun in 1556 to occupy on Dehli and defeated Sher Shah Suri. Mir Chakar Rind saved the Mughal’s Empire from decline. Humayun gifted approximately 16 kilometer area of Satghara and surrounding to Mir Chakar e Azam Rind in the happiness of this success. Humayun gave him the horses and slaves besides to forgive tax. Mir Chakar e Azam Rind constructed a fort here on 5 acres of land in 1540 to fulfill the administrative affairs. The walls of the fort were 25 feet high and 3 feet wide and the thin red bricks were used for the construction of these walls. 2 entry doors were constructed of the fort and defense walls were made around the fort. Mir Chakar e Azam Rind was died at the age of 97 in 1565 and his tomb was also constructed inside this fort after his death. Therefore this fort became the graveyard of its inhabitants. The construction of this fort is the great example of the skills of the workers of that era. The construction style of this tomb is hasht bahisht style which was very popular in Mughala’s Era. Hasht bahisht means to resemble the eight doors of paradise. Walled City Lahore Authority took permanent care responsibility of this fort in 2021 and completed its restoration work. At that time the Government of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf was in the country and Sardar Usman Khan Buzdar was the Chief Minister of Punjab. The work of the restoration of this tomb completed with his personal interest. The great effort by the former Chief Minister Punjab and with the cooperation of Walled City Authority Lahore this national asset has been saved now it has become an important point for the tourists and the seeker of history from all over the world. You can visit this place easily it is situated on 17 kilometer on Satghara village of District Okara Punjab Pakistan.
